  • The program of exhibition is used as one of the most effective ways to interact with users who are unfamiliar to archives. But, so far most exhibition programs in archives have been done in a way that shows simply the contents of records. So, in many cases, visitors of archives have paid little attention to the exhibition, and they have hardly caught the purpose of the exhibition event. Archives need to get out of existing exhibition style which list contents-oriented records, and to develop a new exhibition way which can enhance users' interests and understanding about exhibition records. For this purpose, this study examined the concepts and composition elements of record exhibition, analyzed the cases of archive exhibition in and out of Korea. And this study examined some considerations for the exhibitions of educational archives. As a result of this study, record exhibition ways for educational archives are provided.

  • The gene encoding an esterase enzyme was cloned from a metagenomic library of cow rumen bacteria. The esterase gene (est5S) was 1,026 bp in length, encoding a protein of 366 amino acid residues with a calculated molecular mass of 40,168 Da. The molecular mass of the enzyme was estimated to be 40,000 Da. The Est5S protein contains the Gly-X-Ser-X-Gly motif found in most bacterial and eukaryotic serine hydrolases. However, the Asp or Glu necessary for the catalytic triad [Ser-Asp-(Glu)-His] was not present, indicating Est5S represents a novel member of the GHSQG family of esterolytic enzymes. BlastP in the NCBI database analysis of Est5S revealed homology to hypothetical proteins and it had no homology to previous known lipases and esterases. Est5S was optimally active at pH 7.0 and $40^{\circ}C$. Among the p-nitrophenyl acylesters tested, high enzymatic activities were observed on the short-chain p-nitrophenyl acylesters, such as p-nitrophenyl acetate, etc. The conserved serine residue ($Ser_{190}$) was shown to be important for Est5S activity. The primers that amplified the est5S gene did not show any relative band with 49 species of culturable rumen bacteria. This implies that a new group esterase gene, est5S, may have come from a noncultured cow rumen bacterium.

A systematic review using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses: the PRISMA Statement was conducted. Studies published between 2004 and 2014 were reviewed using the following databases: Ovid, CINAHL and Cochrane library. The keywords used were (app*OR mobile) AND (nurs* OR health* OR medic*) AND (diabet*). Selected studies were assessed for methodological quality using Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN)' Checklist. Three hundred seventy five studies were identified, All the 3 studies found mobile application as a valid strategy on clinical usefulness in diabetes management. This review provides updated evidence for app-based management program in diabetes management. Further studies are needed to increase generalizability using randomized controlled trials, enough sample size. In addition, valid measurements are needed to assess the main outcomes.

  • English is an important tool of information literacy in terms of global information sharing environment. This impacts readers advisory services of public libraries in many ways. In order to identify status of English reading programs in public libraries, this paper investigated 50 public librarries' services for non-English speakers in California, which has long history serving readers advisory services to them. As a result, it is suggested that public libraries have to play a key role to help adult users to be competent in English with English reading programs. Public libraries also need to support families to build English reading environment at home to expand reading activities in libraries. In addition, reading habit in mother tongue is also important for English reading ability, so public libraries consider to build a bridge between them to provide effective English reading programs.

  • In this paper, we propose the design and implementation of a portable, extensible, and efficient performance visualization framework for high performance parallel program development. The framework adopts a layered architecture:consists of three independent layers instrumentation layer, trace interface layer and visualization layer. The instrumentation layer was constructed as an ECL which captures generated events, and the EDL/JPAL constitutes the trace interface layer to provide problem-oriented interfaces between visualization layer and instrumentation layer. Finally, the visualization layer was designed as plug-and-play style for easy elimination, addition and composition of various filters, views and view groups, The proposed performance visualization framework is expected to be used as an independent performance debugging and analysis tool and as a core component in an integrated parallel programming environment.

  • This study analyzed experimental studies of intervention programs provided to improve reading comprehension of elementary school students using a systematic review research method. Cochrane's handbook was applied, and key questions were formulated according to the PICOTS-SD. The inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied to 1,610 papers searched in KCI, and the final 18 cases were selected for analysis. The risk of bias was evaluated using the 'RevMan5' tool provided by Cochrane. As a result of the evaluation, the risk of bias was low in most areas. And for the qualitative analysis of these papers, a data summary table was prepared. As a result, the types of intervention programs were diverse, and in many cases, upper grade students were applied. The size of the experimental group ranged from 6 to 29, and there were more QED-based studies than RCT-based studies. The most mediation time was 40 minutes, and the number of mediation sessions was 8 to 24. And in all studies, the intervention programs were found to be effective in improving reading comprehension.
