이 연구의 목적은 (1) 독서치료를 '치료적 독자상담'의 관점에서 접근하기 위해 문헌정보학 분야의 관련 이론들을 검토하고, (2) 그러한 이론적 근거를 토대로 하여 '치료적' 독자상담의 개념적 모형을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위해, 이론적 근거에 대한 논의에서는 구성주의적 관점의 정보행태 이론, 특히, 더빈이 제시한 '의미형성이론'과 컬다우가 활용한 '불확실성 이론'이 치료적 독자상담을 위한 이론적 근거로 어떻게 활용될 수 있는지에 대해 논의하였다. 나아가 '치료적' 독자상담의 과정을 세부 단계로 구체화해 독자상담 업무에 적용하기 위한 개념적 모형으로 제시하였다.

대학생 중심의 독서회 회원들이 독서캠프 활동에 참여한 결과 독서캠프 활동에 경험이 있는 졸업생들과도 연관되어 독서활동을 활발하게 전개하는 것으로 나타났으며, 회원들 간의 독서회 운영에 대한 격려는 독서캠프 후 뿐만 아니라 졸업 후에게도 계속되는 것으로 나타나 독서회 활성화를 위해 가장 적합한 프로그램으로 나타났다. 대학생을 회원으로 하여 조직된 독서회는 학기 중에는 캠퍼스에서 활발하게 활동하다가 방학중에는 독서활동을 멀리 하게 되는데, 독서캠프 프로그램은 이러한 공백을 메워주는 중요한 프로그램이 된다.

This paper deals with the problems of information retrieval through full-test database which arise from both the deficiency of searching strategies or methods by information searcher and the difficulties of query representation, generation, extension, etc. In oder to solve these problems, we should use automatic retrieval instead of manual retrieval in the past. One of the ways to make the gap narrow between the terms by the writers and query by the searchers is that the query should be searched with the terms which the writers use. Thus, the preconditions which should be taken one accorded way to solve the problems are that all areas of information retrieval such as should taken one accorded way to solve the problems are that all areas of information retrieval such as contents analysis, information structure, query formation, query evaluation, etc. should be solved as a coherence way. We need to deal all the ares of automatic information retrieval for the efficiency of retrieval thought this paper is trying to solve the design of thesaurus browser. Thus, this paper shows the theoretical analyses about the form of information retrieval, automatic indexing, clustering technique, establishing and expressing thesaurus, and information retrieval technique. As the result of analyzing them, this paper shows us theoretical model, that is to say, the thesaurus browser by clustering algorithm. The result in the paper will be a theoretical basis on new retrieval algorithm.

스마트 기기의 활용으로 인해 정보격차의 전통적인 의미가 변화하고 있으며, 기존의 정보격차가 해소되는 현상이 나타나고 있다. 반면, 스마트 기기의 보급이 보다 심화된 새로운 차원의 정보격차를 생성하고 있다는 주장 또한 제기되고 있다. 본 연구에서는, 이러한 상반된 현상의 원인을 파악하고, 현재 정보환경에서의 정보격차 현황을 확인하고자 한다. 이를 위해, Pew Research Center의 설문조사 결과를 활용하여 기존의 정보격차 생성요인들과 스마트 기기 보유 사이의 관련성을 상관적으로 분석하였으며, 스마트 기기가 정보격차에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 이와 함께, 스마트폰을 이용한 정보활용의 범위를 측정하여 스마트 디바이드의 발생여부를 통계적으로 확인하였다.

본 연구는 사서들의 주관성 연구를 통해 사서들이 지각하는 사서직 이미지의 유형과 구조를 식별하고, 그 차이점과 유사점을 탐구하려는 것이다. 본 연구를 위해 Q-방법론이 적용되었으며, 사서들을 대상으로 한 개방형 서면조사와 관련문헌의 조사를 통해 35개의 진술문이 구성되었고, 24명의 공공 및 대학도서관 사서들이 참여하였다. 본 연구의 결과 독특하지만 상호 배타적이지 않은, 현재의 시공간적 맥락을 반영한 4개의 사서직 이미지 유형, 즉 1) 사서직에 양면 가치적인 감정을 가지고 있는 현실인식형 2) 자긍심형 3) 정보기술 수용의 진보형 4) 현실비판형 등으로 식별되었다. 결과적으로 이들은 모두 사서직에 대해 전반적으로 긍정적 이미지를 가지고 있으며, 이들은 사회적으로 적합성 있는 서비스를 개발해야 한다는 사서직의 사회적 역할과 정보문제해결의 조력자라는 측면을 사서직 이미지로 공유하고 있었다.

The healthcare environment is becoming increasingly dependent on health information technology (HIT), with healthcare providers, patients, and other people engaged in the field producing and sharing information to improve healthcare delivery. This focus has raised the issue of Health Information Infrastructure (HII) to the forefront of policy, design, and law. While several studies have examined each element of HII, little attention has been paid to the overall infrastructure as a collection of technologies, institutions, standards, and practices. In order to fill the gap, this study focuses on medication reconciliation as an example of the wider phenomenon of HII. In particular, the study examines a medication reconciliation process (MRP) as an example to understand the key challenges facing the development of HII, how the challenges are interrelated, and how they can be met as a whole. Following a mixed methodology, involving workflow study, focus group discussions, and in-depth interviews, the study examines "data friction" along technical, institutional, regulatory, and legal dimensions. This study constitutes one of the first efforts to comprehensively investigate health information infrastructure and how technology and other dimensions in infrastructure are interrelated. The study therefore contributes to a better understanding of HII and the practical challenges that hinder the seamless flow of information in the healthcare environment.

Historically, mothers have been noted as active health information seekers, reflecting their roles as health mangers and caregivers for their family members. However, previous studies have focused on health-related information behavior among mothers in native populations or mothers of children with specific diagnoses. To fill this research gap, this study focused on health information behavior among mothers of healthy infants and toddlers. Using Wilson's (1997) information-seeking model, this study aimed to uncover the relationships between mothers' demographic characteristics and their health information source use. Online surveys were completed by 851 mothers: 255 U.S.-born mothers, 296 Korean-born mothers, and 300 Korean immigrant mothers living in the United States. Results indicated that there were statistically significant relationships between mothers' nine demographic characteristics (mother's age, education level, household income, employment status, the number of children, years living in the U.S. (or Korea), fluency in speaking English, size of household, housing status) and their health information source use. Based on the results, the implications for information professionals at diverse organizations are discussed when they provide health information services to this specific population.

Information seeking behaviour is an activity of an individual in the process of identifying information that suits his/her knowledge pursuit. It is observed from the review of literature that there is no single study on the information seeking behaviour of faculties of pharmacy either at state level or national levels in India. Therefore this research has been conducted to bridge the gap on information seeking behaviour of pharmacy faculty in Tamil Nadu in view of the recent developments in information seeking behaviour, with objectives such as: to identify the information needs and seeking behaviour of faculty of the pharmacy educational institutions in Tamil Nadu (India); to examine the motivating factors for information seeking behaviour of the pharmacy faculty; to examine faculty opinions about the comprehensiveness or otherwise of respective institutions' library collections; and to analyse the extent of use and dependence on various sources of information for teaching and research. A total of 729 questionnaires have been distributed among 41 pharmacy educational institutions in Tamil Nadu, out of which 601 have responded, and the response rate is 82.44%. Based on the findings of the study certain implications have been derived as measures to enhance the quality of the pharmacy libraries in Tamil Nadu.

본 연구의 목적은 국내외 미디어정보 리터러시 교육 제도와 정책을 분석하여 시사점을 도출하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 공공도서관의 기능이 포함된 UNESCO, IFLA, EU, OECD가 발행한 문서를 검토하였으며 국내 미디어정보 리터러시 관련 법령과 정책 및 유관 기관의 기능을 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 국제기구는 정규교육과정과 정규교육과정 밖에 있는 시민이 정보에 접근하고 지식을 공유할 수 있도록 하는 기관으로 공공도서관을 인식하였다. 또한, 디지털 기술을 포함한 미디어정보 리터러시 향상에 대한 책무성이 있는 평생교육과 시민교육 기관으로 공공도서관을 활용하였다. 도서관법에는 국민의 알권리와 정보 격차 해소를 위해 공공도서관과 사서에게 시민들의 미디어정보 리터러시 향상에 대한 책무성이 부여되어 있으나 국내 미디어정보 리터러시 정책에서 공공도서관의 기능과 사서의 역할은 축소되거나 배제되었다. 본 연구는 공공도서관과 사서가 시민들의 정보 격차를 줄이며 시민역량으로 미디어정보 리터러시 향상 정책에 적극적으로 참여해야 하는 책무성이 있음을 밝히고 있다.

본 연구는 사서교사 배치가 매우 미흡한 현실 속에서 사서교사 교수활동에 대한 이해가 절실하다는 판단아래 국내 사서교사 교수활동을 정의하고 현재 수준을 파악하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해 학교도서관 연구자와 서울지역 고등학교 사서교사를 대상으로 하여 자료를 수집하여 분석하였으며 분석 결과를 Kuhlthau의 사서교사 교수활동 단계 모형을 적용하여 국내 사서교사 교수활동의 수준을 진단하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 국내 사서교사 교수활동은 독립적으로 수행되는 도서관이용교육이 가장 많이 시행되어 낮은 수준의 교수활동에 중점을 두고 있었으며 학교도서관 관련 이론과 연구자들이 강조하는 바와 같이 교과연계 및 협력을 통해 이루어지는 높은 수준의 교수활동으로 진화하지 못하고 있다는 점이 도출되었다. 학교도서관 발전을 위해 향후 사서교사 교수활동이 진화해야 한다는 것이 제안되었으며 이를 위해 정보활용교육의 국가수준 교육과정에의 포함 등 적절한 제도와 시스템이 구축되어야 함이 강조되었다.
