Social networking services that connect a person to other people are attracting our attention and various types of on-the-network services are provided. Library has been playing a role of social media by providing with materials such as books and magazines, and with a place for reading, studying, getting lectures, etc. In this paper, we present a method for finding candidates of groups of the library's patrons who share interest areas by utilizing the loan records, which are obtainable by every library. Such a homogeneous group can become a candidate for a study group, a community for exchange ideas, and other activity group. We apply the method to a collection of loan records of a university library, find some problem to be solved, and propose measures for more detailed solutions. Even though the potential group finding problem still remains a lot of problems to be solved, its potential importance is very high and thus to be studies even more for future applications.

본 연구는 공공도서관에서 가장 적은 비율을 차지하는 이용자층인 시니어를 대상으로, K-LAS를 이용하여 도서관불안을 측정하였다. 측정결과 전체적인 도서관불안 점수는 2.95점으로 선행연구에서 측정된 대학생과 지역주민의 불안 점수보다 높은 것으로 나타났으며, '디지털정보' 요소의 불안 점수가 가장 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 연령이 높을수록, 학력이 낮을수록 도서관불안 점수가 높은 것으로 측정되었으며, 도서관 이용목적이 문화강좌 참여인 시니어와 도서관 방문 빈도가 낮은 시니어일수록 도서관불안이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 분석결과를 토대로 시니어의 도서관불안을 해소하기 위한 방안을 제시하였다.

본 연구는 Southem Mississippi 주립대학 도서관을 표본 도서관으로 하여 경영 방 식에 따른 업무 만족도 및 도서관 서비스의 효율성에 미치는 영향을 측정 분석하였다. 연구 결과 이들 세변수 사이에 작용하는 상관 관계에는 큰 의미를 부여할 수 없는 것으로 나타났 으나 전문직과 비전문직 사이의 변수는 큰 차이를 나타내고 있다.

The main purpose of this study is to analyze construction of space through the investigation of the cases of school community library through Gangneung-si's life-learning project and the findings from the analysis could be summarized as below. Firstly, most space used for school community library has the size of two classes in school on average and locals use generally space for reference and learning at school community library. Secondly, the construction of space of school community library is categorized into one for book-returning, references, reading, group learning and information, and an audio-visual space is also used for group learning and reading. A space for book-returning has features based on the location of its entrance and a space for reading features stand-up and sitting-on space considering size and usability. And a space for group learning has the feature of space planning that makes it possible for local people to get library programs and seminars and a space for information shows its feature of space planning that uses the wall.

This research aims to establish the size standard of university library's user space, and present the standard and method to calculate total area required in the planning of new building construction and remodeling. Nine university libraries newly constructed or remodeled since 2000 were selected among the libraries of large scale universities with more than 10,000 enrolled students as the target libraries in this research. The target libraries were classified into A group (five cases partially remodeled) and B group (four cases newly constructed or fully remodeled) on the basis of the change of times. A university library can be divided into three spaces (user space, administration space and public space). This research classified the reading room in the user space into bookshelf zone, reading zone, information/office zone and hall/other zone, and analyzed area ratio according to each zone. B group's bookshelf zone decreased 12% more than A group, and B group's reading zone increased 10% more than A group. However, there was no big change in the area ratio of information/office zone and hall/other zone. This can be interpreted that university library changes from book and archive preservation-oriented space to user-oriented space. This research presented a proper reading room area calculation method, based on the capacity of books, by reflecting such a change. Each zone's standard was set up through classification of domestic and international standards, based on which, the calculation method of university library's total floor area required was presented. The reason why there was difference in university library's total floor area required according to domestic standard and international standard was that the number of enrolled students per seat in the reading room was different. The area calculation methods presented in this research can be utilized as useful data upon planning university library construction or remodeling.

본 연구는 대학 도서관 이용 만족도가 대학생의 대학 생활 만족도에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 서울 소재 두 곳의 사립 대학교 대학생들 360명을 대상으로 두 차례의 설문조사를 실시하였다. 일차 조사 결과, 시설 만족도와 교육 서비스 만족도의 영향을 통제한 상황에서, 대학 도서관 이용 만족도가 대학 생활 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이차 조사에서는 도서관 서비스 품질 변수를 세 가지 차원(직원, 자원 및 서비스, 시설 및 환경)으로 추가하였으며, 분석 결과, 도서관 서비스 품질이 도서관 이용 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치고, 도서관 이용 만족도는 대학 생활 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 재확인되었다. 또한 두 집단 분석 결과, 도서관 이용 수준이 높은 집단에서 낮은 집단보다 도서관 이용 만족도가 대학 생활 만족도에 미치는 영향이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 한 이론적, 실무적 시사점이 논의되었다.

이 연구는 대구 대표도서관의 입지선정을 위한 평가요소와 지표를 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 구체적으로 사회적 여건, 물리적 여건, 경제적 여건, 사업시행 여건 등 4개 영역에 12개의 평가요소를 제시하였으며, 전문가집단의 입지 평가 요소에 대해 가중치에 대한 검증을 토대로 7개의 대구 대표도서관 건립 후보지에 대한 평가를 실시하였다. 입지에 대한 연구진의 자체평가 결과에 대해 전문가집단의 검증평가를 실시한 결과 평가 일치도가 높은 것으로 나타나 객관성과 타당성을 확보하였다. 본 연구는 향후 지역대표도서관 및 공공도서관의 입지를 선정하는데 객관적인 평가기준을 제시하는데 목적이 있다.

본 연구는 교육인적자원부가 2003년도부터 5개년 계획으로 추진하는 학교도서관 활성화 사업을 통해서 2005년도 이전에 활성화된 경북지역의 학교도서관을 대상으로 도서관 담당인력(사서교사 vs. 일반교사)에 따른 도서관의 운영과 서비스의 효과 차이를 비교분석, 검증하였다. 연구방법은 기본적으로 사서교사와 일반교사가 운영하는 각각의 도서관에 대하여 표본을 추출하고 우편으로 설문조사 하였으며 필요에 따라 직접 면담, 전화 면담, 이메일 등의 방법을 병행하였다. 설문조사내용은 도서관 담당교사의 도서관 기능에 대한 인식과 도서관 담당교사의 역할에 대한 인식, 활성화 이후 학교구성원(학교장/교감, 교사, 학생)들의 도서관에 대한 관심 추이, 도서관 운영 현황-예산, 장서구성, 자료수집, 자료조직, 비도서 자료관리-, 교사와 학생에 대한 서비스의 종류와 효과, 도서관 행사, DLS와 홈페이지를 포함한 정보기술의 활용정도 등을 포함하고 있다. 수집한 데이터를 사서교사와 일반교사의 두 그룹으로 나누어 각 영역의 효과를 비교 분석하였다.

본 연구는 동아시아 지역 성인층의 평생학습 확산을 대비한 국가간 도서관 협력의제를 고찰하기 위해 해당 지역 주요국가인 한국, 중국, 일본의 20대 청년층 정보이용자의 도서관인식과 불안을 국가간 비교연구를 통해 분석하였다. 이에 청년층 정보이용자의 상황적 맥락(선호정보원, 이용빈도, 학력, 성별)에 따른 도서관이용 의 요인별 인식차이를 조사하여 청년층 이용자의 선호정보원과 이용빈도에 따라 도서관불안에 명백한 차이가 있음을 통계적으로 입증하였다. 특히 중국의 정보이용자층이 다른 나라 이용자층에 비해 도서관이용시 각 요소에 대한 불안정도가 현저하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 더불어 한국의 정보이용자들의 디지털정보에 관한 불안요소가 다른 나라 청년층 이용자에 비해 낮은 분포로 측정되었다. 연구결과를 기반으로 이용자들의 환경변화에 따른 정보서비스요구에 대한 도서관의 수용 및 새로운 차원의 도서관 장소 모색 등 성인층을 위한 동아시아지역 도서관운영의 개선방안 등을 제안하였다.
