The prototype of a library is analysed upon the facts that are generalized and recognized as commonsense. On the extension of the prototype, a digital library is considered. Ultimately the libraries' prototype should be steady at any time. A library which is being a digital library to which the best technology at that time applies, should function as the creator of the value by publishing, circulating, and re-production of the information resources.

This study intends to implement an OPAC prototype based on FRBR(Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records) model, which are reflected the users' information needs and search behavior. To the end, this study applies prototyping techniques that design, evaluate and improve an early sample model. Included in this study are as follows: (1) design a conceptual model of new OPACs based on the users' information needs about FRBR-based search services, (2) implement a FRBR-based prototype with WordPress 4.2 version, (3) evaluate the FRBR-based prototype from the viewpoint of users and experts(catalogers and professors). 50 college students and 6 experts participate in the final evaluation process.

The introduction of BIM in domestic construction industry has become more active. Library development and standardization in civil-engineering are unexhausted. This research develop and standardize prototype library for railway infrastructure. We define target facility for library based on railway standard drawings and select BIM software according characteristic of each facility. In this research, we develop libraries composed of 199 files and 489 types for alignment, roadbed and track and make specifications as defined attribution item and description. As we consider for application to diverse use case, develop prototype library in low LoD. We expect that library can increase 3D design productivity and ensure consistency of quality.

Work is a bibliographic entity serving a key role for the collocation function of catalog. This study analyzed the concept of work, provided a new device to complement conventional FRBR work. The 'prototype' was suggested to enhance the collocation function of catalog, the highest level in FRBR. This study explained the definition, attributes of prototype, and relationships between prototype and work within FRBR model.

When Building Information Modeling (BIM) was introduced at the early stage, it was only utilized as a three-dimensional visualization tool. Nowadays, however, BIM is being studied for increasing design productivity and managing enormous information on building life cycle. One of the representative research is developing 'common prototype BIM libraries'. BIM data made of common prototype libraries should be utilized in various ways, quantity takeoff, code checking, energy analysis and so on. However, common prototype BIM libraries are not enough to estimate accurate cost. For example, composite wall libraries should be divided into several single objects, wall structure and finishes, for the quantity takeoff and construction cost calculation. In this paper, we are suggesting an automated division algorithm of composite wall and developing a system prototype for it. This study is expected to reduce extra modeling work and contribute to fast and accurate cost calculation in the construction.

In this paper, we propose a novel approach of user interface for querying Digital Video Library. Through the proposed user interface, the users can specify the query more easily and precisely for image and video retrieval, resulting in better retrieval accuracy of the system. The prototype of the proposed system allows specification of character, atmosphere, implement, mapping and event for the query. This prototype not only provides users with the convenience of query specification in various aspects, but also can easily be extended to the retrieval systems of various multimedia data.

This article is an overview of the digital library project, indicating what roles Korea's diverse digital collections may play. Our digital library prototype has simple architecture, consisting of digital repositories, filters, indexing and searching, and clients. Digital repositories include various types of materials and databases. The role of filters is to recognize a format of a document collection and mark the structural components of each of its documents, We are using a database management system (ORACLE and ConText) supporting user-defined functions and access methods that allows us to easily incorporate new object analysis, structuring, and indexing technology into a repository.

Researching behavior of users in public library is very important processing and their activities can be judged with the regard of required inner spaces and related those functions. The subject of this study is to examine the organization of inner spaces in public library and to propose the prototype of space composition in public library on the future. Not only the relation of space program of each library but also the network among public libraries are not connected efficiently. That's why the public library is not used as local cultural place. Usually, the organization of inner spaces has not been recognized and approached satisfactorily. As the result of the above researching, the function of the culture facilities should be connected to the open study-room which now using just for study. It will make users to recognize and approach public library easily.

This study intends to implement a OPAC prototype for digital kids. To the end, this study applies prototyping techniques that design, evaluate and improve an early sample model. Included in this study are as follows: (1) design a conceptual model of new OPACs based on the information need analysis of digital kids, (2) implement a OPAC prototype with WordPress 4.2 version, (3) evaluate the prototype OPAC from the viewpoint of digital kids and children librarians, and finally, (4) suggest the improved model and implementational strategies for kid's OPAC. 6 fourth and fifth graders in the elementary school and 5 children librarians in public libraries participate in the final evaluation process.

We are using a database management system (ORACLE and ConText) supporting user-defined functions and access methods that allows us to easily incorporate new object analysis, structuring, and indexing technology into a repository. Clients can be considered browsers or viewers designed for different document data types, such as image, audio, video, SGML, PDF, and KORMARC. The combination of navigational tools supports a variety of approaches to identifying collections and browsing or searching for individual items. The search interface was implemented using HTML forms and the World Wide Web's CGI mechanism.
