Analysis on the Sand Beach Change at Jinbok-ri, Uljin Province of East Coast in Korea based on the High Resolution DEM by Terrestrial LiDAR (지상라이다의 고해상도 DEM을 이용한 울진 진복리 사빈 변화 분석)

  • High resolution data for the coastal sand beach during short-term in Jinbok-ri, Uljin-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do are obtained by terrestrial LiDAR. The micro-geomorphological changes of 8 times before and after the strong low-pressure events during June to September, 2009 and changes under the various environments of wave-energy are investigated in the study. The obvious geomorphological changes between the northern and southern sand beach in Jinbok-ri are revealed by terrestrial LiDAR as well as by grain size analysis. The strong waves by the typhoons decrease the area and volume of the beach, and especially the area is largely influenced. The erosive and depositional processes dominate the northern and southern sand beach, respectively, after high wave in September. These results suggest that lots of sand grains in the beach are largely re-transported within the beach rather than offshore.

A Study on the Generation of DEM for Flood Inundation Simulation using NGIS Digital Topographic Maps (NGIS 수치지형도를 이용한 효율적인 홍수범람모의용 지형자료 구축에 관한 연구)

  • Nowadays, flood hazard maps have been generated to minimize the damages from the flooding. To generate such flood hazard maps, LiDAR data can be used as data source with higher data accuracy. LiDAR data, however, requires relatively higher cost and longer processing time. In this background, this study proposed DEM generation using NGIS digital topographic maps. For that, breaklines were processed to count directions of water flows. In addition, the river profile data, unique data source to represent real topography of the river area, were integrated to the breaklines to generate DEM. City of Kuri in Kyunggi Province was selected for this study and 1:1,000 and 1:5,000 topographic maps were integrated to process breaklines and river profile data were also linked to generate DEM. The generated DEM showed relatively lower vertical accuracy from mixing 1:1,000 and 1:5,000 topographic maps since 1:1,000 topographic maps were not available for some portion of the area. However, the DEM generated demonstrated reasonable accuracy and resolution for flood map generation as well as higher cost saving effects. On the contrary, for more efficient utilization of NGIS topographic maps, periodic map updating needs to be made including technical consideration in building breaklines and applying interpolation methods.

  • 최근 들어 국내에서도 홍수에 의한 재산과 인명피해를 최소화하기 위해 지역특성에 알맞은 홍수지도를 제작 중에 있으며, 주로 LiDAR를 이용하여 홍수지도 지형자료를 구축하고 있다. 그러나 이에 많은 시간과 비용이 소요되기 때문에 이미 전국적으로 구축된 수치지형도를 이용한 홍수지도 지형자료 구축의 가능성과 타당성을 검증의 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 수치지형도를 이용한 홍수지도제작시 가장 핵심이 되는 정확한 지형자료구축을 위해서 Breakline처리기법과 하천종횡단자료 연계방안을 중심으로 구리시 일부지역을 대상으로 DEM을 시범제작 하였다. 수치지형도와 LiDAR를 이용하여 구축한 DEM을 검수점을 통한 RMSE오차를 이용하여 수직위치정확도를 비교분석하였다. 분석을 위하여 선행연구(홍수지도제작, 2002)에서 검수점으로 사용한 9점과 제방부분의 실측한 9점을 본 연구의 검수점으로 사용하였다. 비교 결과 RMSE가 수치지형도 DEM의 경우 ${\pm}2.658m$이고, LiDAR DEM의 경우 ${\pm}3.430m$로 나타났다. 두 자료 모두 알려진 오차범위보다 훨씬 높은 오차가 발생함을 알 수 있었다. 향후 수치지형도를 이용한 효율적인 홍수지도 지형자료 구축을 위해서는 수치지형도의 신속하고 지속적인 갱신이 필요할 것이며, 현재 도시지역에만 구축되어 있는 1:1,000 수치지형도를 주변 하천지역까지 확대해서 구축해야 할 필요성이 있을 것으로 사료된다. 아울러 도입초기단계의 LiDAR 측량기술의 보급과 관련모델의 기술의 발달로 인하여 정확도 높은 DEM이 요구된다면 고밀도의 방대한 양의 LiDAR 자료로 DEM을 구축하는 것이 바람직하다고 사료된다.및 이용대책을 수립하는 데 활용될 수 있다., $1,000-2,000{\mu}g\;g^{-1}$), 나머지 177종 식물은 살초활성을 나타내지 않았다. 높은 살초활성을 나타낸 식물로부터 분리되는 천연활성물질들은 향후 새로운 제초제 개발을 위한 모화합물 제공, 상호대립억제 작용성을 갖는 작물 품종 개발 혹은 개량에의 활용, 그리고 친환경 유기농업용 잡초방제에의 활용이 기대된다.내(皮膚上皮組織內)의 Langerhans cell내(內)의 Birbeck granule에 비(比)해 수적(數的)으로 현저히 감소(減少)되어 있었다. 그러나 Thy-1 양성(陽性) dendritic cell에서 볼 수 있는 dense-core 과립(顆粒)은 별변화(別變化)없이 쉽게 관찰(觀察)될 수 있었다. 조직배양(組織培養)을 한 견(犬)의 keratinocyte에 대(對)해 사람 pemphigus vulgaris의 항체(抗體)로 반응(反應)시킨 후 protein-A gold(15 nm)로 표식(標識)시킨 바 제일 바깥 상층(上層)의 keratinocyte에 있어서 세포막표면(細胞膜表面)을 따라 표식(標識)되어 세포막항원(細胞膜抗元)을 나타내었으며, 이와 같은 소견(所見)으로 미루어 정상피부(正常皮膚) 중층편평상피세포(重層扁平上皮細胞)에서도 동일(同一)한 소견(所見)을 관찰(觀察)할 수 있다고 본다.al remnants, Resorption of fetus로 관찰된 것이다.   • In this study, subject areas with different topographic feature were selected for the purpose of measuring the slope terrain by setting Terrestrial LiDAR in different places. And the slope terrain was analyzed based on three-dimensional raw data obtained through the measurement of slope terrain. With DEM data obtained from five measurement instances with 5mm of scan interval by setting Terrestrial LiDAR on the site 30m away straight from the slope terrain consisting of asphalt, rock, soil, and plants, the slope terrain was analyzed according to topographic feature. In addition, in consideration of changes in setting location that might affect the measured result, this study reviewed the accuracy of measured data obtained from different measurement areas.

DEM_Comp Software for Effective Compression of Large DEM Data Sets (대용량 DEM 데이터의 효율적 압축을 위한 DEM_Comp 소프트웨어 개발)

  • This paper discusses a new software package, DEM_Comp, developed for effectively compressing large digital elevation model (DEM) data sets based on Lempel-Ziv-Welch (LZW) compression and Huffman coding. DEM_Comp was developed using the $C^{++}$ language running on a Windows-series operating system. DEM_Comp was also tested on various test sites with different territorial attributes, and the results were evaluated. Recently, a high-resolution version of the DEM has been obtained using new equipment and the related technologies of LiDAR (LIght Detection And Radar) and SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar). DEM compression is useful because it helps reduce the disk space or transmission bandwidth. Generally, data compression is divided into two processes: i) analyzing the relationships in the data and ii) deciding on the compression and storage methods. DEM_Comp was developed using a three-step compression algorithm applying a DEM with a regular grid, Lempel-Ziv compression, and Huffman coding. When pre-processing alone was used on high- and low-relief terrain, the efficiency was approximately 83%, but after completing all three steps of the algorithm, this increased to 97%. Compared with general commercial compression software, these results show approximately 14% better performance. DEM_Comp as developed in this research features a more efficient way of distributing, storing, and managing large high-resolution DEMs.

  • The visual implementation of 3-dimensional national environment is focused by the requirement and importance in the fields such as, national development plan, telecommunication facility deployment plan, railway construction, construction engineering, spatial city development, safety and disaster prevention engineering. The currently used DEM system using contour lines, which embodies national geographic information based on the 2-D digital maps and facility information has limitation in implementation in reproducing the 3-D spatial city. Moreover, this method often neglects the altitude of the rail way infrastructure which has narrow width and long length. There it is needed to apply laser measurement technique in the spatial target object to obtain accuracy. Currently, the LiDAR data which combines the laser measurement skill and GPS has been introduced to obtain high resolution accuracy in the altitude measurement. In this paper, we first investigate the LiDAR based researches in advanced foreign countries, then we propose data a generation scheme and an algorithm for the optimal manage and synthesis of railway facility system in our 3-D spatial terrain information. For this object, LiDAR based height data transformed to DEM, and the realtime unification of the vector via digital image mapping and raster via exactness evaluation is transformed to make it possible to trace the model of generated 3-dimensional railway model with long distance for 3D tract model generation.

  • LiDAR(Light Detection And Ranging) can make terrain model where above the ground and the mixed data between SBES(Single Beam Echo Sounder) and SSS(Side Scan Sonar) can make terrain model where bottom of water. So this research suggest that how to merge data which are got ken different devices and we developed the software which can display 2D/3D graphic and water volume calculation. And we compared accuracy between the commercial software'Surfer'and LiDAR and SBES data Merging Program.

  • In this study, EWS (Earth Work System), the earth-volume estimation program was developed in a way that could enhance efficiency of civil engineering construction through precise earth-volume modeling based on the 3D geospatial information. In this program, it is possible to estimate the precise earth-volume using LiDAR DEM and to establish the earth work plans based on the unit workload of the construction equipments. Also, EWS program can support the 3D visualization of the final results through Google Earth in order to understand intuitively or share the results of earth-volume estimation in the construction project. For verifying the possibility of appling EWS program to construction project, the construction site of Shin-Pochun substation in Shinbuk-myun, Pochon-City, Kunggi Province was selected as a study area and the results of earth-volume and earth work plans estimated from EWS program were compared with those of DAS program. As a result of comparison between EWS and DAS program, the more accurate earth-volume can be estimated by using 3D geospatial information and more reasonable earth work plan can also be established when use the EWS program was developed in this study. Thus, EWS program can enables improvement of productivity by establishing efficient construction plan in the construction site.

  • In this study, we estimated the effect of the traffic noise in urban area using the LiDAR data. The propagation of noise has a strong relationship between distance and shape of surface. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the distribution of buildings for estimating noise assessment in urban area because noise propagations will be affected by buildings. For this, we were developed DEM and DBM using the LiDAR data in order to analyze the propagation of traffic noise precisely in urban area. The level of traffic noise were calculated by investigating the real volume of traffic in study area. The SoundPLAN S/W and RLS90 algorithm was used for traffic noise assessment.

  • Debris flows are rapidly flowing masses of water mixed with soil and gravel from landslides which are caused by typhoons or rainstorms. The combination of Korea’s mountain dominated topography (70%) and seasonal heavy rains and typhoons causes landslides and large-scale debris flows from June to August. These phenomena often cause property damage and casualties that amount up to 20% of total annual disaster fatalities. The key point to predicting debris flow is to understand its movement mechanism, erosion, and deposition. In order to achieve a more accurate estimation of debris flow path and damage, this study incorporates quantitative analysis of high resolution LiDAR DEM (GSD 10cm) to delineate geomorphic and topographic changes induced by Jinbu real scale debris flow test.
