  • The water level data sets among hydrologic observation data are correspond to the hydraulic head for each observation point and determine flow direction. The level difference among reservoir, river, and groundwater determines groundwater flow direction, just like water flows in the downstream direction because the water level of upstream point is higher than that of downstream point. We can analyze the relationship among the components in hydrologic cycle by comparing the water level differences. This research dealt with the data from Nakdong river watershed in Gyungsangnam-Do. Three data group are used for the analysis and onr group is composed of reservoir, river, and groundwater data sets. The data sets are closely(within 10 km) located in the interested area.

  • In this paper, we concern with SLLN for sums Of in-dependent random upper-semicontinuous fuzzy sets. We first give a generalization of SLLN for sums of independent and level-wise identically distributed random fuzzy sets, and establish a SLLN for sums of random fuzzy sets which is independent and compactly uniformly integrable in the strong sense. As a result, a SLLN for sums of independent and strongly tight random fuzzy sets is obtained.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of resting periods between exercise sets during isokinetic contraction on recovery from muscle fatigue, strength, heart rate, blood pressure, and lactate level. Sixteen women performed 10 repetitions of isokinetic exercise for three sets in three different conditions. During the sets, they rested 50, 100, and 150 seconds in each condition. And the results were: 1) In this population, the peak torque of extensor during the isokinetic exercise in 100 second resting condition was significantly higher than that in 50 and 150 second resting conditions (p<.01). The total work of extensor was significant in the second and third sets in 50 and 100 second resting conditions (p<.01). 2) During the isokinetic exercise, the heart rate was progressively increased as the sets were advanced in all resting conditions (p<.01). And the increase was significant during the second and third sets than the first in 50 second resting condition (p<.01), while it was significantly greater after the third set than the first in 100 and 150 second resting conditions (p<.01). 4) No difference was found between the resting periods in blood lactate level and blood pressure during the isokinetic exercise. However, differences were found between the sets in these variables (p<.01).

  • We classify all possible level Artinian O-sequences of socle degree 5 and type 3. Moreover, we show how to construct level Artinian algebras with those Hilbert functions using the sum of two ideals of finite sets of points in $P^2$ such that the ideal of the union of two sets is level.

  • This paper introduces a new model for forecasting groundwater level on the basis of analysing defect of finite element method. The new model is built with fuzzy sets and neural networks. It is convenient for use. We computed the groundwater level of one city in P. R. China with it and got a very satisfactory result. It can be popularized to corecast groundwater level of mine.

  • A level set tree provides a useful representation of a multidimensional density function. Visualizing the data structure as a tree offers many advantages for data analysis and clustering. In this paper, we present a level set tree estimation algorithm for use with a set of data points. The proposed algorithm creates a level set tree from a family of level sets estimated over a whole range of levels from zero to infinity. Instead of estimating density function then thresholding, we directly estimate the density level sets using one-class support vector machines (OC-SVMs). The level set estimation is facilitated by the OC-SVM solution path algorithm. We demonstrate the proposed level set tree algorithm on benchmark data sets.

  • In this paper, a new analytic approach for shape preserving contrast enhancement is presented. Contrast enhancement is achieved by means of segmental histogram stretching modification which preserves the given image shape, not distorting the original shape. After global stretching, the image is partitioned into several level-sets according to threshold condition. The image information of each level-set is represented as typical value based on grouped differential values. The basic property is modified into common local schemes, thereby introducing the enhanced effect through extreme discrimination between subsets. The scheme is based on stretching the histogram of subsets in which the intensity gray levels between connected pixels are approximately same In spite of histogram widening, stretched by local image information, it neither creates nor destroys the original image, thereby preserving image shape and enhancing the contrast. By designing local histogram stretching operations, we can preserve the original shape of level-sets of the image, and also enhance the global intensity. Thus it can hold the main properties of both global and local image schemes, which leads to versatile applications in the field of digital epigraphy.

  • In this paper, we introduce the notion of intuitionistic fuzzy PMS-subalgebra of a PMS-algebra. The idea of level subsets of an intuitionistic fuzzy PMS-subalgebra of a PMS-algebra is introduced. The relation between intuitionistic fuzzy sets and their level sets in a PMS-algebra is examined, and some interesting results are obtained.
