Purpose - This paper aims to obtain a theoretical understanding for the relationship among the elderly's leisure activity, social support, life satisfaction and mental loneliness in their life. This paper has the purpose to draw policy implications by the course of research and study as well as to find alternatives in enhancing the elderly's psychological well-being in a practical dimension. Research design, data, and methodology - Data has been collected from 380 elderly persons participating in leisure activities in 10 senior welfare service centers located in the Seoul area. A structured questionnaire sheet was used, and as the main analysis method for hypothesis verification, the hierarchical regression method was used. Results - Social support is moderating factor for the relationships among the productive leisure activity, life satisfaction and mental loneliness, but does not play the moderating role in the relationships such as consumptive leisure activity, life satisfaction and mental loneliness. Conclusions - It is necessary to make efforts to provide policies for promoting and expanding the elderly's participation especially in productive leisure activity. And also, an institutional support should be provided for maintaining and expanding a stable social relationship network for the elderly's participation.

Regarding leisure and work as very important in residential life of old ages, this study analyzed their preference by leisure and work for senior congregate housing, which can provide proper work and leisure activities for older people who are able to manage their social activities with healthy condition. It conducted a survey of middle aged of the 50's who would face problems of senior housing in 2010, with stratified sampling by region, sex and housing structure type. Totally 556 Questionnaires were used for the final analysis. The research results showed that, first, the group which was positive toward their works mostly had spouse of the age of early 50' s and work for professional, technological, managerial positions with good health. Second, the more positive group towards their work showed high willingness to move in senior congregate housing, than a negative group towards their work, and put a weight on the openness of shared space and facilities as well as various alarming equipments, common space, common programs and the ability of managers. Third, according to the attitudes toward leisure activities, there were differences in each group by housing structure type, education of their own or their spouses, monthly income, property, economic ability, health condition, living together with spouse, housing tenureship, and usable area of houses. The fourth was that those who enjoy active leisure activities presented high willingness to move in senior congregate housing than those of negative attitude and also there was a difference in managerial ways. Throughout the results of the study, it appeared that a group of positive attitude toward work and leisure, than that of negative attitude, recognized the importance of senior congregate housing which social and leisure programs could support. It implied necessary to develop housing for the older people who have enough ability to manage their leisure activity as well as their work. The study is likely to have a contribution to suggest practical data for helping the development of housing for self-reliant seniors by analyzing their preference on senior congregate housing by their attitudes toward work. The research for the factors of various designs and managements by leisure and work may become the following research theme of the study.

This study aims to analyze the major factors in their working conditions affecting the enlargement of leisure activities of dental technicians. We also present a need for dental technicians to assign more time many different kinds of leisure activities for their quality life. To this end, we examined the status and the characteristics of dental technicians' leisure activities among the randomly selected subjects who are working in the area of Seoul, Gyonggido, and Gangwon-do through the analysis of the 311 sheets of self-administered questionnaires. The conclusions from this analysis are as follows; 1. On weekdays, non participants in leisure activities were found to be 64.0%, and in the case of weekends, the participants were reached to 70.7%. Those who enjoy any leisure activities in either of weekdays and weekends were 34.1%, 27.3% of the dental technicians did not have any leisure activities. Therefore, statistical significance was shown in the participations of leisure activities between weekdays and weekends. 2. Of the types of leisure activities in both weekdays and weekends, sports activities were ranked at the top 33.4%, 29.6% respectively, which is followed by going to the cinema/theatre/exhibitions, etc 21.9%, 26.0%, games/entertainment 14.5%, 14.8%, hobbies/cultural activities 14.1%, 12.5%, sightseeing/picnic 6.4%, 7.4%. 3. Of the differences in the characteristics of leisure activities, the types of leisure activities between weekdays and weekends showed difference in gender, company and information regarding leisure activities in age, company and the place of leisure activities, and leisure information in the marital status, career and monthly income in company, company and leisure information in the job position, which is statistically significant (p<.001). However, no statistical significance was found among the other general items of the characteristics of leisure activities. Considering only works on weekdays policy is currently permeating into almost every business sector, dental business owners or managers are advised to consider more effective time management or human resources management, such as keeping reasonable manufacturing time through cooperations with the dentists, regularity of working hours, incentive system, introduction of credible over time payment. Which will provide their staff with more times and opportunities to enjoy their leisure activities. Additionally, the concrete and feasible ways of motivating and activating the leisure activities of dental technicians are in need of further researches and studies.

해양레저의 실용분야에 대한 관심과 연구는 많으나 기초분야에 대한 연구는 드물다. 즉, 해양레저의 장점에 대한 연구가 필요한 실정이다. 필자는 해변환경의 시각적, 청각적 정의를 정서심리학을 바탕으로 미학적, 음악적으로 분석하였다. 결과적으로, 해변휴양을 통하여 긍정적인 정서를 얻을 수 있으며, 긍정적인 정서로 변화시킬 수 있음을 알았다.

본 연구는 경기바다의 접근성, 마리나시설, 수산자원의 한계, 어촌의 초고령화 등의 상황을 근거로 하여 어촌과 해양레저의 상생을 위하여 연안공간에서 발생하는 갈등 원인을 파악하고 섬 활성화를 위하여 수도권과 인접한 경기바다 지역의 특색을 활용해 효율적인 연안공간 사용을 제시하는 것이 목적이다. ‥‥(중략)‥‥본 연구를 통해 해양레저 산업인프라 구축을 통한 청년 유입, 어촌과 해양레저활동을 연계한 체험활동 및 교육 등 지속적이고 자생적인 경기바다의 발전을 도모하고자 한다.

The project to improve the structure of village has been conducted in order to improve the residential environment since 1960's. Also, with the rural exodus and the aged population in a rural area during the rapid change of social structure in our country, the old people's problem in a rural area became a problem beyond the welfare of the old age. Moreover, as the role of old people who established their position as the subject of social & economic activities in a rural area gradually increases, an attention to problems related on old people also increases. Especially, the leisure life of old people can be an important factor on the type of leisure life of old people in a cultural village and the demands for facilities for old people by studying the present situation of facilities for old people and the actual situation of their use in a welfare center.

이 연구는 시큐리티 요원의 여가관을 규명하고자 한다. 즉, 여가관을 규명하기 위하여 여가인식과 여가실태를 분석하고자 한다. 이 연구는 2008년 수도권(서울 경기) 소재 시큐리티 회사에 재직하고 있는 시큐리티 요원을 연구대상으로 선정한 후 판단표집법을 이용하여 총 333명의 표본을 추출 사용되었다. 측정도구는 설문지로서, 크게 사회인구통계학적 특성, 여가인식, 여가실태로 구성되었다. 설문지의 타당도는 문헌고찰과 함께 전문가회의를 통하여 검증하였다. 자료처리는 $x^2$ 검증 기법이 활용되었다. 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시큐리티 요원은 대체로 여가를 “휴식”이라고 생각하였으며, “스트레스 해소”를 위해 여가가 필요한 것으로 평가 하였다. 그리고 시큐리티 요원은 대개 여가와 일의 중요성에 있어서 “여가와 일 모두 중요하다”라고 평가 하였다. 둘째, 시큐리티 요원은 여가활동으로 “사교활동”에 많이 참가하였으며, 여가활동 빈도는 “한달 2-3회”, 여가활동 시간은 “1-2시간”, 여가활동 기간은 “4-7년”이 많았다.

해양레저 관광 활성화를 위해 해양레저스포츠 체험선택과 체험효과, 체험만족 간의 관계를 연구하고자 설문지를 제작한 후 보령지역을 방문하여 조사 분석을 실시하는 연구를 수행한 결과 다음의 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 해양레저스포츠의 선택중요는 선택만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 해양레저스포츠의 선택중요는 체험효과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 해양레저스포츠의 선택만족은 체험효과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 해양레저스포츠 방문객들은 모타보트, 바나나보트, 요트 체험을 선호하는 것으로 조사되었다. 다섯째, 해양레저체험센터 건립시에는 장비대여소, 안전시설, 해양레저체험시설이 포함되어야 한다.

본 연구는 노인의 다양한 사회적 여가활동을 포괄적으로 접근하여 생활만족도에 미치는 직접, 간접적인 경로를 파악함을 목적으로 한다. 수도권 노인을 대상으로 조사한 결과, 사회적 여가활동인 여가프로그램, 자원봉사, 종교활동, 친목단체 참여 모두 여가만족과 고독감을 경로로 하여 생활만족도에 간접적인 영향을 미치고 있었다. 반면, 생활만족에 직접적인 영향력을 미치는 사회적 여가활동 영역은 자원봉사활동 뿐이었으며, 이 때 여가만족과 고독감은 자원봉사활동과 생활만족 사이에서 부분매개역할을 하고 있었다. 본 연구결과는 노인의 사회적 여가활동, 삶의 질 향상을 위한 정책수립과 여가복지시설 운영전략을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This landscape design proposal was presented to a design competition for the Incheon-city Southern Region Integrated Disposal Treatment Facility. The site is located in Dongchun-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. The main design concepts are as follows: First, considering connection of the site with surrounding water, inner sea is designed as an environmentally friendly place and as a leisure-sports theme park in which several sports facilities and relaxing places are arranged. It is also designed for everyone: people of all ages, disabled, workers, visitors and local residents. The design was processed on the basis of survey, analysis of surrounding competing facilities and SWOT analysis. Second, the ecological planting model was developed by analyzing the natural vegetation map in the surrounding area and planted vegetation types in the seaside reclamation area. The model was then applied to the ecological community, park area and roadside trees, so as to harmonize with the local habitat. Third, the project is intended to launch private capital for managing the sports park and golf course. This will enable a entrepreneur to make flexible plans for golf training field that is expected to yield a good financial return. It is expected that this design would serve the local residents as a symbolic, environmentally friendly leisure-sports theme park.
