Purpose: This study sought to explore the effects of sport enjoyment on leisure commitment. Research design, data, and methodology: Subjects of this study are members of MTB participation in Seoul and Gyeonggi area and were selected by purposive sampling out of non-probability sampling. 295 questionnaires were collected and 288 questionnaires were used for the study. To analyze data, frequency analysis, factorial analysis, t-test, ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis were employed. Results: First, as for leisure satisfaction and leisure commitment pursuant, there was significant difference in gender, age, the number of participation in weekly leisure, and hours of participation in weekly leisure. Second, regarding MTB participants' amusement and leisure satisfaction competence had significant influence on all the sub-factors of leisure satisfaction and that both achievement and competence had impacts on social leisure satisfaction. Third, regarding effects on leisure commitment, competence of amusement had impacts on cognitive and behavioral leisure commitment. Fourth, regarding relationships between leisure satisfaction and leisure commitment, satisfaction of mental leisure, social leisure, relaxation leisure, physiological leisure and leisure satisfaction had significant influence on cognitive commitment. Conclusions: Summary of above results showed that MTB participants' amusement factor had significant influence on leisure satisfaction and leisure commitment. Implications were discussed. This study is purposed to setting up leisure facilities for provincial teenagers. And this center will be constructed facilities considering young boys and girls's need in geochang-gun. It is carried out those as follows;(1) it is, first of all, examined architectural factors concerned about an demand of young boys and girls in geochang-gun;(2) it is, secondly, established spaces and programs that it is analyzed an alternative proposal considering merits and faults;(3) it is, finally, suggested facilities of It's. The result of study, A development planning of "geochang-gun leisure cultural center" is suggested that it is induced to 'cultural building', 'physical exercise facilities' and 'a boarding house for students of the back regions'. It is, Ultimately, focused development of leisure facilities on demands and feelings of teenagers in a rural area.

The purpose of this study is to identify the situation of leisure preferences, the effect of related variables on the leisure preferences, and the relationship between leisure preferences and participations of urban married women. The survey of this research was conducted by means of interviews with 606 married women in Seoul. The instruments of the survey were questionnaires including a leisure preferences scale. Data were analysed by means of the statistics of frequency, mean, standard deviation, ANOVA, and Sheffe’s multiple range test, using the SPSS program. The results were as follows: The most preferred leisure type by urban married women is family oriented activities, especially conversations with family and playing with children. The level of leisure preferences differs according to related variables. The most distinctive variable on leisure preferences is the sex role of women. The relationship between leisure preferences and participations differs according to leisure activities and types. Especially in the area of religion/ social activities and self-developing activities, preferences on leisure activities has relatively strong relationship with participations on leisure activities.

This study compared the pattern of couples' time-use in rural areas. Wives' and husbands' time spent in household work, leisure, and agricultural labor were compared. In addition, this study examined what factors determine the amount of time of couples spent in such activities. According to the results, in general, the pattern of couple's time-use in rural area was different. Regarding the pattern of time-use, three major results could be mentioned. First of all, husband in rural area spent most agricultural labour time in busy farming season. And then husband spent much time in leisure activities and wife spent in household work. Second, wife spent more time in inactive leisure and husband spent more time in active leisure. Third, husband in rural area spent less time in household work. In particular. they spent less time in female-typed work than male-typed work. To examine what factors determine the extent of time spent in such activities, three theories were employed and tested. According to the results, the models employed in this study were realistic in explaining the amount of time of couple in rural area, and more adjustable wife than husband. In conclusion, a combination of the multidimensional theoretical perspectives used in this study helpfully explains the variation in the amount of time-use of couple in rural area.

The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data for the leisure space planning desirable for adolescents through survey on their using leisure space. Four hundred sixty-six middle and high school students living in Chongju city, Gwesan-gun and Eumsung-gun responded the first basic questionnaire and 160 students among them answered again the second questionnaire for more information on the site of leisure space they want. Frequency, percentage, $x^2-test$ and Multi-Dimensional Scale were methods of analysis. The results are as follows. Adolescents are wasting their leisure time because of insufficient facilities for productive activities. They use the time, when observed in one week, roaming around downtown, studying in off-school academies, visiting shops and playing in the game rooms. And when observed in a month, they use time meeting friends in coffee shops, visiting restaurants, studying in the libraries, playing in the ground and visiting sports facilities. Adolescents' leisure time were different according to sex, age, father's educational level, mother's occupation, household income, and living area. Students hoped the leisure spares to be located in the neighborhood where they can access easily, and facilities they wanted were small shop-buildings, game rooms, off-school academies, schools, sports facilities, studying moms and libraries. It is necessary that adolescents have opportunities to learn how to use their leisure time healthy in the leisure space. And consideration on adolescents living in the remote rural area have to be dealt importantly in the beginning of various planning.

본 논문에서는 해양레저를 즐길 수 있는 천혜의 자연조건을 가진 서남권 다도해 해역의 해양레저와 요트 산업 적용에 관하여 논의한다 먼저 해양레저의 해외 우수 사례를 소개한다. 아울러 국내 해양 레저와 요트 산업의 현황과 문제점에 대하여 분석하여 개선 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 특히 환경 친화형의 마리나 시설을 서남권 다도해 해역에 적용하여 그 타당성을 분석한다. 향후 해양레저 산업의 전망을 분석한다.

The major purpose of this study is to examine how korean elderly people spend their leisure time in a day In order to do this, we analysed the time dairy which were collected through the national investigation made by Korea National Statistical Office in 1999 and executed the frequency analysis, the One-way ANOVA and the Duncan's post hoc test. Major findings are as follows; First, Korean elderly people spent their leisure time passively and negatively Especially, they spent their most leisure time watching TV. Second, Those who were male elderly people, had their spouses and their own cars, and lived in an urban area etc, spend their leisure time executing positive leisure activity such as self-development activity and sports activity.

Objectives: This study analyzes whether the leisure activities satisfaction of elderly and older elderly patients differs with population sociology characteristics for the leisure activities services provided by geriatric hospitals, and to provide basic information to make reasonable decisions. Methods: Difference Analysis of the difference (T-test, ANOVA) in leisure activities satisfaction was conducted for the elderly and older elderly patients hospitalized in nine hospitals. Results: First, In the planning stage of leisure activity program, it is necessary to consider the tendency of men and women to prefer gender-based leisure activity service. Second, It was found that old elderly patients were more in number than elderly patients. Third, managers of geriatric hospitals in Busan and Kyungnam area should consider the needs of the patients in the planning and implementation of leisure activities and improve their leisure activity programs or develop more programs for better customer satisfaction.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of leisure behavior and preference for leisure environment of the five-day workweek company employees according to gender for developing leisure facilities in residential community planning. The questionnaire survey was used. The subjects of questionnaire survey were 338 staffs of 7 companies, who were living in apartment complex. The questionnaire consisted of way of life about leisure, leisure necessity, actual condition and need of leisure spaces, and leisure satisfaction. Frequency, percentage, and mean, ${\chi}2-test$, t-test, and factor analysis were used for data analysis. The major results were as follows. 1) In terms of leisure time in weekend, the available leisure time distribution, and leisure cost, there were not difference between men and women. 2) After five-day workweek, the men and women showed to increase their leisure activities and to engage in diverse forms of leisure. Also, they showed an increased desired ratios in participating in each leisure activities. 3) Leisure was necessary to strengthen the unity of family and cultivate the sentiment. 4) Even though current main area for leisure were in their house, men were likely to change them from in the house to around and near their house. And they needed leisure facilities which was closer to their house. 5) The degree of satisfaction of leisure facilities in residential environment was low and there were not difference between men and women. This result implicated to improve and develope leisure space and facilities near the residental environment for promoting leisure behavior of both women and men. In particular it is necessity to create the good atmosphere of leisure facilities for women.

Small vessels of less then 20 tonnage and leisure boats such as motor boats, sailing yachts, water motorcycle, etc have been excluded from the rules and regulations such as Marine Leisure Safety Act, Ship Act and Ship Safety Act for a long time in Korea. As a result, these small vessels and leisure boats have remained within the blind area of maritime safety and environment protection. Among these vessels and boats, some leisure boats such as motor boats of 20 horse power or more(excluding motor boats equipped with engine inside the vehicles), water motorcycles and rubber boats of 30 horse power or more are incorporated into the Marine Leisure Safety Act through the registry, safety inspection, insurance early 2005 in Korea. In relation to the scope of application of the national Acts concerned, I consider the conflicts between Acts and suggest the subordinate enforcement ordinance and regulations.
