  • In this paper, among the robot programming languages that enable processing of sensory information, eight exemplary languages are chosen, and investigated in terms of their characteristics, why they are designed the way they are, and the kind of sensors each language can use and apply to. In addition, the characteristics of each language is compared with one another from the sensor point of view and the flow of each language is analyzed from the robot language classification point of view. Finally, We investigate the progress and the requirements of the sensor-based robot programming languages for further developments.

  • In this paper, collision avoidance of two robots working in a common workspace is described. The workspace for a two robot system is defined and classified. JCM (Joint Constraint Map) is designed which shows the region of joint values that must be avoided for collision free motion, and application of the JCM is studied.

  • This paper presents an advanced calculation method of permissible current capacity on catenary system. If the permissible current calculation method used in electric power system is applied to electric railroad system, it is troublesome. Because electric load in catenary system varies periodically according to time. Therefore, this study proposes permissible current calculation method through heat equation according to time variation.

  • the satellite tracking problem of Antenna with two axis of elevation angle and azimuth one is described in this paper. The proposed control procedures for stabilization of nonlinear pedestal unit are consists of a off-line modeling identified by neural network and a on-line neural network controller combined with a reference model using the least square method. the simulation results are introduced and compared to a conventional PID controller.

  • In this paper, the electric field was analyzed to find the concentration of electric field by using electric field intensity, equipotential line, and mesh to the particles in GIS. The results of elecritc field analysis were compared with experimental values and it was shown that the analysis results were coincided with the experimental results.

  • This paper is proposed to a novel DC-DC converter operated high efficiency for loss-less snubber capacitor. The general converters of high efficiency is made that the power loss of the used switching devices is minimized. To achieve the soft switching operation of the used control switches, the proposed converter is constructed by using a loss-less snubber capacitor. The proposed converter achieves the soft-switching for all switching devices without increasing their voltage and current stresses. The result is that the switching loss is very low and the efficiency of converter is high. The soft switching operation of the proposed converter is verified by digital simulation and experimental results.

  • Error-backpropagation has been used in the bulk of Practical applications for neural networks. While an emulator, a multilayered neural network, learns to identify the system's dynamic characteristics. There is, however, no concrete theoretical results about the structure of a plant and the structure of a multilayered neural network and the learning rate. The paper investigates the relation between structure of a plant and a multilayered network and learning rate. Simulation study shows that the plant signal with a short period and a fast sam time is preferable for learning of the network emulator.

  • Almost of all impediments to enhancing ship safety and preventing vessel-source marine pollution arise from the interaction between direct and indirect factors. The direct factors come from human errors and failure in compliance with the international convention standards for the operation of cessel. The indirect factors derive from the will and attitudes of the countries taking little responsibilities with appropriate seriousness for policing their fleets. By focusing on these aspects, this paper reviews the effectiveness of existing countermasures adopted by IMO and intends to propose a new paradigm to improve the implementation capability of each nation by suggesting frameworks of maritime administration models.

  • Song I-Yeong (1619 ~ 1692), who was an astronomy professor of Gwansanggam (觀象監, Bureau of Astronomy), created the Honcheonsigye (渾天時計, Armillary Clock) in 1669 (10th year of King Hyeonjong Era). Honcheonsigye was a unique astronomical clock which combined an armillary sphere, the traditional astronomical instrument of the Far East, with the power mechanism of western alarm clock. The clock part of this armillary clock is composed of two major parts which are the going-train, power unit used the weight, and the time signal system in a wooden case. The time signal system is composed of four parts which are the time-annunciator, the striking train, the 12 different time-announcing medallions and the sound bell. This clock has been neglected for many years and its several components have been lost. This study is to understand the structure of time signal system and suggests the restoration process.
