Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a lecture on oral presentation and to evaluate changes in anger expression, assertive behavior, and self-esteem after lecture on oral presentation. Methods: The design was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The participants were university students in nursing, of which 17 were assigned to the experimental group and 15 to the control group. The education was carried out for 2 hours, once a week for 14 weeks. Data was analyzed with SPSS/WIN 14 program, and included chi-square test, independent t-test, and repeated measure ANOVA. Results: Lecture on oral presentation showed significant differences in the changes of anger expression (F=10.122, p=.003) and assertive behavior (F=8.498, p=.007). Conclusion: Findings suggest that this lecture on oral presentation was effective in changing students' anger expression and assertive behavior. Therefore this lecture on oral presentation is recommended for inclusion in education for university students in nursing.

The purpose of this second one of the two consecutive papers, which carried out for the research, is to evaluate their relative effectiveness regarding instruction with such three presentation methods as video/print+ lecture, print/video, print+lecture/video, with which the library of Duk Sung Women's University applied already for the orientation of the freshmen in 1988. In sum, the major research findings are as follows : First, as the more numerous media were applied for the orientation, the instruction were more effective. Second, it is very interesting to find out that there were wide differences in effectiveness among the three presentation methods applied for the student. Especially, the print+ lecture/video method was more effective in the instruction than the print/video method. Surprisingly, the video/print + lecture method was much more effective than the print+ lecture/video method. With the research findings of this two consecutive papers into consideration, it seems safe to say that the video-tape method was most effective among such three orienting methods as lecture, slide-tape, and video tape, and the video/print+lecture method was most effective among such three presentation methods as video/print+lecture, print/video, and print+lecture/video.

Objective: This study aims to implement a non-contact gesture-based interface for presentation purposes and to analyze the effect of the proposed interface as information transfer assisted device. Background: Recently, research on control device using gesture recognition or speech recognition is being conducted with rapid technological growth in UI/UX area and appearance of smart service products which requires a new human-machine interface. However, few quantitative researches on practical effects of the new interface type have been done relatively, while activities on system implementation are very popular. Method: The system presented in this study is implemented with KINECT$^{(R)}$ sensor offered by Microsoft Corporation. To investigate whether the proposed system is effective as a presentation support tool or not, we conduct experiments by giving several lectures to 40 participants in both a traditional lecture room(keyboard-based presentation control) and a non-contact gesture-based lecture room(KINECT-based presentation control), evaluating their interests and immersion based on contents of the lecture and lecturing methods, and analyzing their understanding about contents of the lecture. Result: We check that whether the gesture-based presentation system can play effective role as presentation supporting tools or not depending on the level of difficulty of contents using ANOVA. Conclusion: We check that a non-contact gesture-based interface is a meaningful tool as a sportive device when delivering easy and simple information. However, the effect can vary with the contents and the level of difficulty of information provided. Application: The results presented in this paper might help to design a new human-machine(computer) interface for communication support tools.

분산 멀티미디어 환경에서 교재 제시를 위한 미디어내${\cdot}$미디어간 동기화는 전송 데이터의 지연과 손실 및 미디어별 전송 특성 등과 같이 비동기 오차로 인해 미디어들간의 정확한 시간 관계성을 보장하기가 매우 어렵다. 미디어내 동기화는 표현률에 영향을 받기 때문에 네트워크 지연으로 인한 미디어 도착률이 비정상적일 때 지터 현상이 발생한다. 그리고 각각의 미디어 스트림에서 지터의 누적된 결과로 미디어간 스큐가 발생한다. 이런 현상은 원거리 교육에서 네트워크 지연으로 인해 학습자의 내용 인식에 혼란을 야기시키고, 송${\cdot}$수신측의 효율적인 상호 작용을 제공하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 미디어 또는 하나 이상의 미디어 사이에서 시간 관계성의 요구 사항을 유지함으로써 네트워크 지연으로 인한 문제점을 해결할 수 있다. 또한 표현률에 영향을 받는 미디어내 동기화 방법을 제안하고, 원격 교육을 위한 교재 제시 시스템을 구현하였다.

네트워크 통신을 기반으로 한 영상 회의 및 세미나, 강의에서는 영상/음성뿐만 아니라 프리젠테이션 제시 또한 중요한 요소로 작용하고 있다. 전형적인 세미나 또는 회의, 강의에서 사용되는 흑판을 촬영하여 영상 전송 기능을 그대로 이용하는 프리젠테이션 제시 기법은 고해상도의 영상 기술이 필요하고, 촬영기술의 기능까지 요구되므로 원격의 환경에서 큰 장애 요인이 된다. 본 논문에서는TCP기반의 연결 지향형 소켓을 이용한 효과적인 멀티미디어 프리젠테이션을 공유하기 위한 실시간 멀티미디어 공유 보드시스템을 구현한다. 이 시스템은 시스템 구축에 수반하는 비용을 감소할 수 있으며 데이터 신뢰성 및 상호 작용을 향상시키고, 프리젠데이션 지연 시간을 최소화할 수 있다.

This study investigated the degree of knowledge achievement and self-confidence in aseptic technique as a part of the fundamental nursing practice classes. The subjects were 220 nursing students in a junior college in Chonnam and an applied Quasi-experimental research methodology was used thirty of them comprised an experimental group to examine learning according to the teaching method. Wata were collected over 80 days, from April to June 1988, analyzed using descriptive statistics, percentages, means, t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression with the SAS program. The conclusions are as follows. 1. The mean score of the degree of knowledge achievement of aseptic technique of the 220 students was 0.68(possible score 1.0) before the lecture but was 0.88 after lecture(p=.000). 2. The mean score for aseptic technique of the 220 students was 3.41(possible score 5.0) before practice but was 4.27 after practice(p=.000). 3. The correlation of self-confidence before and after practice was relatively low(r=.25, p=.000). 4. The mean score of the degree of knowledge achievement of aseptic technique in the experimental group(selected 30 students) was 0.72 before the lecture but was 0.90 after the lecture. 5. The mean score of self-confidence on aseptic technique in the experimental group(selected 30 students) was 3.18 before practice but was 4.32 after practice(p=.000). 6. The mean score of learning according to the type of teaching to aseptic technique for the experimental group(selected 30 students) was 23.2(possibel score 34) after lecture and presentation, was 27.3 after learning through video tape, was 31.7 after presentation through practice, was 33.7 after first practical training, and was 34 after secondary practical training. As a result of this study, learning methods in the education of fundamental nursing skill effective for knowledge achievement and competence in practicing skill.

본 연구는 교육품질에 직·간접적인 영향을 미치는 다양한 환경요소 중 음환경에 대한 내용을 W대학 인문대 소공연장의 리모델링 사례를 통해 분석하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상인 W대학 인문관의 소공연장은 강의전용 공간으로 리모델링하기에 앞서 적당한 울림이 필요한 공연장과 상대적으로 음성의 명료성이 중요한 강의실의 음향성능 차이를 인지하고 강의전용 공간에 적합한 실내 음환경을 조성하고자 하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 리모델링 전 음향성능 측정, 음향 시뮬레이션을 통한 마감재료 변경안 제시, 리모델링 후 음향성능 측정의 단계를 거쳐 리모델링에 따른 강의전용공간의 음향성능 개선안의 사례를 제시하고자 하였다. 이러한 과정은 추후 마감재 변경을 통한 강의전용 공간 등 교육공간에 적합한 실내 음향성능 확보의 사례로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Dr. Corley had various experiences as an outstanding structural engineer. His experience as the chief investigator for the collapse of World Trade Center and Oklahoma city building was so much useful to the lecture. His presentation had covered 3 different collapsed buildings like Oklahoma city, Pentagon and World Trade Center. He had shown to the audiences 2 videos and 76 slides by power point. The learned lessons from his presentation were: 1. The appropriate Building Code is very important. 2. The sound details are very important for the structure to resist the extreme outer force. 3. The continuous diagnosis and maintenance of the structure is important. 4. The reasonable attitude of the government against the accident is important. 5. The professional engineer must take a main role as a guard for the safety of the people.

When you present a medical scientific paper or give a lecture in English, It is important to visit your presentation room in advance to gain familiarity with the controls and the computer. You can check how to use the mouse or laser pointer and determine where the microphones are. You should meet the Chairman and introduce yourself. You may ask the Chairman any questions you have. I am confident this strategy will work for beginners because they are usually nervous before their presentations. Most Chairmen prepare one or two questions for the presenters to stimulate discussion. Speaking with the Chairman also allows you to determine the type of English that he or she speaks (i.e., French-English, Spanish-English, and British-English). You need to be comfortable with the Chairman's English before the presentation because the Chairman will repeat the questions for you when you do not understand a question from the audience. Although I have given a number of lectures and moderated many scientific sessions and symposiums in English over the past 20 years, it is still difficult and stressful for me to do these in English because English is not my first language. To overcome the problems, I have written down the questions and useful English expressions that I have received during or after my presentation because I found them helpful for my next presentation. I hope the examples will be of great help to you.
