The Cities that recently developed have been applied to private network for establishing information communication network system. The local governments planning or pursuing U-City construction should also choose the private network in consideration of operation and maintenance. In viewpoint of agency operating u-City, it is necessary to integrate traditional and new network. However, there has been lack of guides to choose U-City network considering the economic analysis between private and leased network. This study analyzed the characteristics of private and leased network, and the cost-benefit by estimating the network cost and communication demand focused on U-services that are recently applied. This study purpose a guide for efficient U-City information network selected by estimating ROI(Return On Investment) and BEP(Break Even Point) for establishing private and leased network.

A leased line modem usability was evaluated and investigated in the wireless internet protocol(IP) network. The signal of the modem in the circuit switching network was translated to IP packet by using several voice codecs (PCM, G.711A, $G.711{\mu}$, and etc.) and transmitted through the wireless IP network. The wireless IP network was simulated by the Tactical information and communication network Modeling and simulation Software(TMS). The performance and usability of the leased line modem are simulated using the system-in-the-loop(SITL) function of TMS with respect to packet delay, jitter, packet discard ratio, codecs, and wireless link BER.

전용회선은 데이터 전송에 있어서 연결된 두 지역을 독점적으로 사용하는 구조이기 때문에 안정된 품질수준과 보안성이 확보되어 교환회선의 급격한 증가에도 불구하고 기업 내부에서는 지속적으로 많이 사용하는 회선 방식이다. 하지만 비용이 상대적으로 고가이기 때문에 기업 내 네트워크 운영자의 중요한 역할 중의 하나는 네트워크 전용회선의 자원을 적절히 배치하고 활용하여 최적의 상태를 유지하는 것이 중요한 요소이다. 즉, 비즈니스 서비스 요구 사항을 적절히 지원하기 위해서는 데이터 전송 관점에서 전용회선의 대역폭 자원에 대한 적절한 관리가 필수적이며 전용회선 사용량을 적절히 예측하고 관리하는 것이 핵심 요소가 된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기업 네트워크에서 사용하는 전용회선의 실제 사용률 데이터를 기반으로 다양한 예측 모형을 적용하고 성능을 평가하였다. 일반적으로 통계적인 방법으로 많이 사용하는 평활화 기법 및 ARIMA 모형과 요즘 많은 연구가 되고 있는 인공신경망에 기반한 딥러닝의 대표적인 모형들을 적용하여 각각의 예측에 대한 성능을 측정하고 비교하였다. 또한, 실험결과에 기초하여 전용회선 자원의 효과적인 운영 관점에서 각 모형이 예측에 대하여 좋은 성능을 내기 위하여 고려해야 할 사항을 제안하였다.

데이터통신은 역사적으로 볼 때 전용회선이용시기로부터 공중전화교환망개선을 거쳐 데이터 전용교환망 구축으로 발전해 간다. 초기단계부터 분리독립된 데이터전용교환건설은 방대한 비용이 소요되므로 어느 나라도 이런 방법을 택하지 않는다. 한국도 전용회선시대를 지나 금년상반기(1983)에는 공중전화교환망을 데이터통신에 개선할 것과 금년하반기에는 데이터통신공중교환기인 Packet교환기를 설치할 계획이다. 이 논문은 서울의 공중교환전화선의 특성을 측정한 것과 한국의 데이터통신의 장래의 발전을 전망한 것이다.

This study deals with the optimal design of mobile access network connecting base stations(BSs) and mobile switching centers(MSCs). Generally mobile operators constitute their access networks by leasing communication lines. Using the characteristic of leased line rate based on administration region, we build an optimization model for mobile access network design which has much smaller number of variables than the existing researches. And we develop a GUI based optimization tool integrating the well-known softwares such as MS EXCEL. MS VisualBasic, MS PowerPoint and Ip_solve, a freeware optimization software. Employing the current access network configuration of a Korean mobile carrier, this study using the optimization tool obtain an optimal solution for both single MSC access network and nation-wide access network. Each optimal access network achieves 7.45% and 9.49% save of lease rate, respectively. Considering the monthly charge and total amount of lease line rate, our optimization tool provides big amount of save in network operation cost. Besides the graphical representation of access networks makes the operator easily understand and compare current and optimal access networks.

Ethernet PON(Passive Optical Network)은 최근 활발하게 연구되고 있는 경제적이고 효율적인 가입자망이다. 차세대 가입자망인 Ethernet PON의 MAC(Media Access Control) 프로토콜은 TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access)방식을 기본으로 하며, QoS(Qualify of Service)를 보장해야 하는 전용회선(Leased Line) 가입자에 적합한 고정 할당 방식과 LAN/MAN의 최선형(Best Effort) 방식에 적합한 동적 할당 방식으로 나눌 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이들 프로토콜의 성능을 분석하기 위하여 OPNET 시뮬레이션 도구를 이용해 Ethernet PON 모델을 설계한다. 설계된 모델에 대한 단대단 Ethernet 지연(end-to-end Ethernet delay), 큐잉 지연(queuing delay), 처리(throughput)과 사용률(utilization) 분석을 통해서 MAC 프로토콜을 검증하고, 하나의 OLT(Optical Line Terminal)가 수용할 수 있는 최적의 ONU(Optical Network Unit) 개수를 산정한다. 또한, 적정한 ONU의 버퍼 크기를 제안하여 Ethernet PON의 망 효율을 극대화하는 방안을 제시한다.

In this paper we have implemented CH-MUX system which provides customers with various services, i.e. POTS, ISDN, digital leased line and so on, and supports not only UDLC but IDLC network configuration based on existing optical transmission facilities. Also the RCS equipment has been designed and implemented for remote monitoring and control of CH-MUXs. And then this paper has described IPC procedure and proposed other implemental methods of IPC channel. Service providers will be able to design and construct cost-effective access network with RCS and CH-MUX systems.

To compensate the loss of leased-line subscribers and the excessive increase of residential xDSL (Digital Subscriber Line) ones of KT (Korea Telecom), the paper proposes the service model by which it can reinstate the subscription ratio status through employing next generation OSS (Operations Support System) and highquality MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) VPN (Virtual Private Network). It also describes diverse modules comprising NeOSS (New OSS) of KT, followed by detailed accounts regarding the service delivery process of KT VPN. Shortly visited are the primary constituents as well as configuration parameters of MPLS VPN. Finally the network topology along with a feasible service model case is presented.

A local area network (LAN) is a computer network within a small geographical area such as a home, school, computer laboratory, office building or group of buildings. A LAN is composed of interconnected workstations and personal computers which are each capable of accessing and sharing data and devices, such as printers, scanners and data storage devices, anywhere on the LAN. LANs are characterized by higher communication and data transfer rates and the lack of any need for leased communication lines. Communication between remote parties can be achieved through a process called Networking, involving the connection of computers, media and networking devices. When we talk about networks, we need to keep in mind three concepts, distributed processing, network criteria and network structure. The purpose of this Network is to design a Local Area Network (LAN) for a BAEC (Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission) Head Quarter and implement security measures to protect network resources and system services. To do so, we will deal with the physical and logical design of a LAN. The goal of this Network is to examine of the Local Area Network set up for a BAEC HQ and build a secure LAN system.

VPN(Virtual Private Network)과 DSL, 케이블과 같은 다이얼업 접속의 조합은 저렴한 비용으로 임대라인 기반의 사설망의 대안이 되고 있다. VPN 장비의 고가용성(High Availability, HA)에 대한 기업의 요구가 증대되고 있다. 본 논문에서 VPN 게이트웨이에서 링크 이중화를 통한 액티브-액티브 방식을 이용해 네트웍 접근성의 고가용성과 네트웍 부하 분산 기법을 제안한다. 네트웍 링크의 고가용성/부하분산은 외부 내트웍 접근을 독립적인 두 개의 라인으로 이중화하는 것으로 달성할 수 있다. 이것은 둘 중 하나의 링크에 문제가 발생하더라도 내부 사용자에게 지속적인 네트웍 접근을 제공할 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 네트웍 부하를 두 개의 라인으로 분산시킴으로써 두 배에 가까운 네트웍 대역폭을 제공할 수 있다. 네트웍 링크의 부하 분배를 위해 정적인 알고리즘과 동적인 알고리즘을 제안한다.
