  • This study compared and analyzed middle and high school's homebase and media space which are installed along with the introduction of subject classroom system operation method, with regard to the position of arrangement, the type of arrangement, and the change of area, etc. which were changed and applied per the phase of project. For this, design competitions were implemented since 2006 targeting the cases which participated in design directly-indirectly in the researcher's architectural firm, present construction documents among the selected BTL(Build-Transfer-Lease) were completed, and the examples of 10 schools(design competitions 2 schools, BTL selected plans 8 schools) were analyzed, which were operating variation type.

A Case of Financial Distress of Leasing Company: A Financial and Accounting Analysis of P Leasing Company (리스금융회사의 정보화 및 경영실패 사례연구 -P리스사의 재무회계분석을 중심으로-)

  • P Leasing Company was a steady growing company with positive net income in most years since 1985 when it was established. However, it suddenly experienced a minus net income of 6.8 billion won in 1996. The reason of its deficit was known to be the financial distress of its two major leasing contracts. The total amount of two contracts was 58 billion won witch is about 8% of total amount of its leasing contracts. In this paper, we analyse how the disability of lease payments from the two leasing contracts influence P Leasing Company's financial stability, growth opportunity, and profitability. In addition, by performing ROI analyse, we point out the financial reasons of P Leasing Company's deficit in 1996. We hope our case analysis to help students understand the cash flow of leasing companies. The P Leasing Company case also illustrates the fact that bad leasing contracts would seriously affect the profitability of leasing companies as bad loans would seriously do the profitability of commercial banks.

  • 플래시 메모리의 인기가 증가하면서 스토리지 시스템의 변화를 가져왔다. 플래시 메모리 기반의 SSD(Solid State Disk)는 기존의 HDD(Hard Disk Drive)를 대체할 매체로 주목을 받고 있으며 HDD에 비해 훨씬 더 높은 대역폭, 랜덤 접근 성능 및 충격에 강한 장점들을 갖는다. 그러나 플래시 메모리는 HDD와 달리 덮어쓰기(In-Place update)가 불가능 하기 때문에, 데이터를 업데이트 하기 위해서는 해당영역을 지운 후 업데이트를 해야 하는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 캐시 안에서의 거의 접근하지 않을 블락과 캐시로 들어가는 것을 막기 위한 기법을 제시한다. 이것은 캐시의 오염을 막고 더 오랜 기간 동안 캐시 안에서 인기 있는 블락 들을 유지하고 높은 히트율로 연결될 것이다. 또한 캐시 교체의 수를 줄임으로써 SSD의 쓰기를 감소할 것이고 그 결과 성능 뿐만 아니라 SSD의 수명도 연장 에도 도움이 될 것이다.

  • This study aims to find the cause of temporary work accidents and suggests a improvement plan for the prevention of accidents in temporary works. For this purpose the following research methods were used: statistical analysis of construction accidents, questionnaire survey, and a case study. As conclusions, causes of temporary work accidents were showed and a improvement plan for the prevention of the accidents in temporary works was suggested for the 2 groups: (1) temporary material manufactures, lease and sales companies, (2) construction companies which use those temporary materials.

  • The purpose of this paper was to suggest new strategies available for the housing education considering the enhancement of professional practices in the housing industry. The purpose was accomplished examining the businesses of housing industries and the undergraduate programs in housing. The housing industry was considered in following areas: housing department of construction company. comprehensive marketing. management/lease and building/environment examination. And the undergraduate programs of nine universities offering housing as a whole or a half portion of the department were analyzed. Both the examination results and the suggestions including course recommendations, the educational-industrial cooperation programs, and the accreditation housing education program could be valuable informations for the housing educators.

  • BTL(Build-Transfer-Lease) Project for Education Facilities is contracted as a package which consists of several education facilities and its maintenance period is 20 years. Thus, total cost variation largely depends on the accuracy of the maintenance cost forecasting in the early stage in the life cycle of the BTL Projects. This research develops a method using complete linkage algorithm and branch & bound algorithm to help in finding optimal bundling combination. The result of this research suggests more reasonable and effective forecasting method for the maintenance bundle in BTL projects.

  • With increase in container traffic, there has been constant shortage in supply of containers causing upward tendency at a price of sale and lease. In this point of view, it is safe to say that the importance of demand and supply management for containers is getting dear. At the same time, growing dependence on leasing containers has huge effect on increase in cost because of the difficulty in forming forecast model.

  • This paper concerns with the decision maker has the job of forecasting capital investments and operating expenses to aid the decision making in choosing and evaluating present annual and future alternatives. The cost estimating function eventually analysis, evaluates and choose the alternatives. And also, the marginal analysis performed originally from a preliminary design of some sort, and eventually plans are made to investigate investment possibilities. This paper provide the discounted net cash flows and the present, annual and future worth methods. In despite of any choice for an analytical methods, there remains the problems of predicting and assessments certain future events. Therefore, these models dealing with the optimal plant sizing, equipments replacement, and lease or buy will be discussed.

  • The new commercial maritime law in the Kingdom came comprehensive and detailed for all topics related to commercial maritime navigation, thus responding to most of the problems that arise in the field, specifically regarding the ship as the focus of the rules of maritime law. This system defines the ship in law, regulates its civil status, determines how to name it, determine its domicile, and the conditions for acquiring Saudi nationality. It also contained a regulation of the rights granted to ships by ownership, as well as their lease and mortgage, the mechanism of attachment to them to settle debts and the rights in kind dependent on them and controlling the rights of third parties on ships and the procedures for forcibly selling them from precautionary seizure and executive seizure and then forced sale in public auction. Until this research was an effort to present a clear picture about the legal system of the ship in the new Saudi commercial maritime system and confirming the extent of the success of the Saudi legislator with the ship system in highlighting the legal frameworks for this facility prepared for maritime navigation.
