  • CMAC (Cerebeller Model Articulation Controller) is kind of Neural Networks that imitate the human cerebellum. For storage and retrieval of learned data, the input of CMAC is used as a key to determine the memory location. he learned information is distributively stored in physical memory. The learning of CMAC is very fast and converged well, therefore, it effects the application of Pattern Recognition. Through the our experiment of Pattern Recognition, we will prove that CMAC is very suitable for On-line real time processing and incremental learning of Neural Networks.

  • Adaptive resonance theory (ART2) characterized by its built-in mechanism of handling the stability-plasticity switching and by the adaptive learning without forgetting informations learned in the past, is based on an unsupervised template matching. We propose an improved tow-stage learning algorithm for aRT2: the original unsupervised learning followed by a new supervised learning. Each of the output nodes, after the unsupervised learning, is labeled according to the category informations to reinforce the template pattern associated with the target output node belonging to the same category some dominant classes from exhausting a finite number of template patterns in ART2 inefficiently. Experimental results on a set of 2545 FLIR images show that the ART2 trained by the two-stage learning algorithm yields better accuracy than the original ART2, regardless of th esize of the network and the methods of evaluating the accuracy. This improvement shows the effectiveness of the two-stage learning process.

  • Deep learning has recently demonstrated conspicuous efficacy across diverse domains than traditional machine learning techniques, as the most popular approach for pattern recognition. The classification problems for tabular data, however, are remain for the area of traditional machine learning. This paper introduces a novel network module designed to tabular data into high-dimensional tensors. The module is integrated into conventional deep learning networks and subsequently applied to the classification of structured data. The proposed method undergoes training and validation on four datasets, culminating in an average accuracy of 90.22%. Notably, this performance surpasses that of the contemporary deep learning model, TabNet, by 2.55%p. The proposed approach acquires significance by virtue of its capacity to harness diverse network architectures, renowned for their superior performance in the domain of computer vision, for the analysis of tabular data.

  • This study aims to experiment on learning French intonation, based on the visualization of melody, which was employed in the early sixties to reeducate those with communication disorders. The visualization of melody in this paper, however, was used to the foreign language learning and produced successful results in many ways, especially in learning foreign intonation. In this paper, we used the PitchWorks to visualize some French intonation samples and experiment on learning intonation based on the bitmap picture projected on a screen. The students could see the melody curve while listening to the sentences. We could observe great achievement on the part of the students in learning intonations, as verified by the result of this experiment. The students were much more motivated in learning and showed greater improvement in recognizing intonation contour than just learning by hearing. But lack of animation in the bitmap file could make the experiment nothing but a boring pattern practices. It would be better if we can use a sound analyser, as like for instance a PitchWorks, which is designed to analyse the pitch, since the students can actually see their own fluctuating intonation visualized on the screen.

  • Image morphing methods make seamless transition changes in the image and mask the meaningful information attached to it. This can be detected by traditional machine learning algorithms and new emerging deep learning algorithms. In this research work, scope of different Hybrid learning approaches having combination of Deep learning and Machine learning are being analyzed with the public dataset CASIA V1.0, CASIA V2.0 and DVMM to find the most efficient algorithm. The simulated results with CNN (Convolution Neural Network), Hybrid approach of CNN along with SVM (Support Vector Machine) and Hybrid approach of CNN along with Random Forest algorithm produced 96.92 %, 95.98 and 99.18 % accuracy respectively with the CASIA V2.0 dataset having 9555 images. The accuracy pattern of applied algorithms changes with CASIA V1.0 data and DVMM data having 1721 and 1845 set of images presenting minimal accuracy with Hybrid approach of CNN and Random Forest algorithm. It is confirmed that the choice of best algorithm to find image forgery depends on input data type. This paper presents the combination of best suited algorithm to detect image morphing with different input datasets.

  • DNA computing-inspired pattern classification based on the hypernetwork model is a novel approach to pattern classification problems. The hypernetwork model has been shown to be a powerful tool for multi-class data analysis. However, the ordinary hypernetwork model has limitations, such as operating sequentially only. In this paper, we propose a efficient implementing method of DNA computing-inspired pattern classifier using GPU. We show simulation results of multi-class pattern classification from hand-written digit data, DNA microarray data and 8 category scene data for performance evaluation. and we also compare of operation time of the proposed DNA computing-inspired pattern classifier on each operating environments such as CPU and GPU. Experiment results show competitive diagnosis results over other conventional machine learning algorithms. We could confirm the proposed DNA computing-inspired pattern classifier, designed on GPU using CUDA platform, which is suitable for multi-class data classification. And its operating speed is fast enough to comply point-of-care diagnostic purpose and real-time scene categorization and hand-written digit data classification.

  • This paper present s a pattern generation scheme from financial charts. The patterns constitute knowledge which consists of patterns as the conditional part and the impact of the pattern as the conclusion part. The patterns in charts are represented in a syntactic approach. If the pattern elements and the impact of patterns are defined, the patterns are synthesized from simple to the more highly credible by evaluating each intermediate pattern from the instances. The overall process is divided into primitive discovery by Genetic Algorithms and pattern synthesis from the discovered primitives by the Syntactic Pattern-based Inductive Learning (SYNPLE) algorithm which we have developed. We have applied the scheme to a chart : the trend lines of stock price in daily base. The scheme can generate very credible patterns from training data sets.

  • A lot of methods to improve the learning effect of learners in E-learning have been researched and applied. In roost E-learning systems, the learning navigation presenting the learning course and progress to learners is applied. But roost learning course and progress are designed by teacher beforehand and learners study the learning course and progress already fixed. In this research, a learning navigation which can change the learning course and progress dynamically according to learner's learning effect is presented. For this purpose, the factors which define the learning course and progress by learning chapters, contents and item difficulties were classified and each process logic was analyzed through CSP.

  • Recently, as the sensor and big data analysis technology have been developed, there have been a lot of researches that analyze the purchase-related data such as the trajectory information and the stay time. Such purchase-related data is usefully used for the purchase pattern prediction and the purchase time prediction. Because it is difficult to find periodic patterns in large-scale human data, it is necessary to look at actual data sets, find various feature patterns, and then apply a machine learning algorithm appropriate to the pattern and purpose. Although existing papers have been used to analyze data using various machine learning methods, there is a lack of statistical analysis such as finding feature patterns before applying the machine learning algorithm. Therefore, we analyze the purchasing data of Songjeong Maeil Market, which is a data gathering place, and finds some characteristic patterns through statistical data analysis. Based on the results of 1, we derive meaningful conclusions by applying the machine learning algorithm and present future research directions. Through the data analysis, it was confirmed that the number of visits was different according to the regional characteristics around Songjeong Maeil Market, and the distribution of time spent by consumers could be grasped.

  • we propose an enhanced self-generation supervised algorithm that by combining an ART algorithm and the delta-bar-delta method. Form the input layer to the hidden layer, ART-1 and ART-2 are used to produce nodes, respectively. A winner-take-all method is adopted to the connection weight adaption so that a stored pattern for some pattern is updated. we test the recognition of student identification, a certificate of residence, and an identifier from container that require nodes of hidden layers in neural network. In simulation results, the proposed self-generation supervised learning algorithm reduces the possibility of local minima and improves learning speed and paralysis than conventional neural networks.
