Glutamate is one of the principle transmitters in the CNS. Ionotropic receptors of glutamate, selectively activated by N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA), play an important role in the processes of cell development, learning, memory, and etc. On the other hand, many studies discovered that over-activation of glutamate receptors leads to neurodegeneration and are known to be implicated in major areas of brain pathology. Any sustained effect of a transient NMDA receptor activation is likely to involve signaling to the nucleus and to trigger coordinated changes in gene expression. Classically, a set of immediate-early genes are induced first; some of genes are by themselves transcription factors that control expression of other target genes. This study provides understanding of changes of inducible transcription factors mRNA levels with RT-PCR by inducing over-activation of NMDA receptor with intraperitoneal NMDA injection. The experimental conditions were varied by 1, 5, 25, and 125 g/ of body weight NMDA and measured transcription factors mRNA levels are Egr-1, c-Jun, JunB, and FosB. Based on result obtained, inducible transcription factors mRNA in NMDA injection to mice with 5 g/body weight showed the greatest change. And ITF mRNA showed greatest change 24 hr after injection. The expression level of JunB mRNA was markedly changed. Up to the present days, no study clearly understood how ITF mRNA affected the apoptosis of purkinje cells in the cerebellum. The current study improves the understanding of the mechanism of apoptosis of purkinje cells in the cerebellum.
In order to improve mathematical problem-solving ability, there has been a need for research on practical application of meta-affect which is found to play an important role in problem-solving procedure. In this study, we analyzed the characteristics of the sociodynamical aspects of the meta-affective factor of the successful problem-solving procedure of small groups in the context of collaboration, which is known that it overcomes difficulties in research methods for meta-affect and activates positive meta-affect, and works effectively in actual problem-solving activities. For this purpose, meta-functional type of meta-affect and transact elements of collaboration were identified as the criterion for analysis. This study grasps the characteristics about sociodynamical function of meta-affect that results in successful problem solving by observing and analyzing the case of the transact structure associated with the meta-functional type of meta-affect appearing in actual episode unit of the collaborative mathematical problem-solving activity of elementary school students. The results of this study suggest that it provides practical implications for the implementation of teaching and learning methods of successful mathematical problem solving in the aspect of affective-sociodynamics.
Supply chain management(SCM) requires efforts to search for methods for mutual growth with partner companies and to maintain continuous cooperative relations in order to gain a competitive edge. Because information competencies play a big role within the supply chain, it is essential to examine the relationship of information sharing and partnership quality that can affect information competency. In order to maintain continuous business relations between partner companies, it is necessary to identify the obstacles with partner companies resulting from the imbalance of power within a supply chain and to take on a strategic approach for effectively managing such obstacles. Therefore, there is a significant need to discuss strategic approach methods to enable the logic of mutual growth through the CSV that is worth learning from the partner company and the attributes of non-mediated power. CSV will be reviewed from various aspects as a new management paradigm in the future. This study aims at suggesting a continuous growth model for companies by solving social problems through the integration of CSV and the concept of non-mediated power to advance the information competencies of SCM. A total of 142 copies of survey forms for SCM Implementation Companies were using the PLS structural equation modeling for an analysis, and the following are the findings. Results of this study showed that both CSV and non-mediated power had significant impact on information sharing and partnership qualities, and the conclusion that it is possible to enhance information competency through information sharing and partnership quality. Based on this, this study proposes the implication that it is necessary to elevate awareness of CSV and non-mediated power as variables for the coexistence of SCM participating companies.

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether standardized patient(SP) can be used as a reliable examiner in Objective Structured Clinical Examination(OSCE). 4 SPs and 4 faculties who have more than 2 years experience of OSCE scoring were selected. For 1 assignment 2 members of faculty and 2 SPs were designated as raters. SPs were educated for assessing 2 technical skills, male Foley catheter insertion and wound dressing, for 8 hours (4 hours / day, each topic). The definition, method, cautions and complications for each of procedural skills were covered in the education. Theoretical lectures, video learning, faculty demonstration and practical training on mannequins were employed. The 8 raters were standardized for an hour with simulated OSCE scoring using previous videos on the day before the OSCE. Each assessment was composed of 14 checklists and 1 global rate. The allotted time for each assignment was 5minutes and for evaluation time 2 minutes per student. The evaluation from the faculty and SPs were compared and analyzed with the GENOVA program. The overall generalizability coefficient (G coefficient) was 0.839 from two cases of OASTS. The reliability of the raters was high, 0.946. The inter-rater agreement between faculty group and SP group was 0.949 for checklist and 0.908 for global rating. Therefore SPs can play a role of raters in OSCE for procedural skills, if they are given the appropriate training.

Urban trees play a vital role in urban ecosystems,significantly reducing impervious surfaces and impacting carbon cycling within the city. Although previous research has demonstrated the efficacy of employing artificial intelligence in conjunction with airborne light detection and ranging (LiDAR) data to generate urban tree information, the availability and cost constraints associated with LiDAR data pose limitations. Consequently, this study employed freely accessible, high-resolution multispectral satellite imagery (i.e., Sentinel-2 data) to estimate fractional tree canopy cover (FTC) within the urban confines of Suwon, South Korea, employing machine learning techniques. This study leveraged a median composite image derived from a time series of Sentinel-2 images. In order to account for the diverse land cover found in urban areas, the model incorporated three types of input variables: average (mean) and standard deviation (std) values within a 30-meter grid from 10 m resolution of optical indices from Sentinel-2, and fractional coverage for distinct land cover classes within 30 m grids from the existing level 3 land cover map. Four schemes with different combinations of input variables were compared. Notably, when all three factors (i.e., mean, std, and fractional cover) were used to consider the variation of landcover in urban areas(Scheme 4, S4), the machine learning model exhibited improved performance compared to using only the mean of optical indices (Scheme 1). Of the various models proposed, the random forest (RF) model with S4 demonstrated the most remarkable performance, achieving R2 of 0.8196, and mean absolute error (MAE) of 0.0749, and a root mean squared error (RMSE) of 0.1022. The std variable exhibited the highest impact on model outputs within the heterogeneous land covers based on the variable importance analysis. This trained RF model with S4 was then applied to the entire Suwon region, consistently delivering robust results with an R2 of 0.8702, MAE of 0.0873, and RMSE of 0.1335. The FTC estimation method developed in this study is expected to offer advantages for application in various regions, providing fundamental data for a better understanding of carbon dynamics in urban ecosystems in the future.

Wetlands play an important function and role in hydrological, environmental, and ecological, aspects of the watershed. Water level in wetlands is essential for various analysis such as for the determination of wetland function and its effects on the environment. Since several wetlands are ungauged, research on wetland water level prediction are uncommon. Therefore, this study developed a water level prediction model using multiple regression analysis, principal component regression analysis, artificial neural network, and DNN to predict wetland water level. Geumjeong-Mountain Wetland located in Yangsan-city, Gyeongsangnam-do province was selected as the target area, and the water level measurement data from April 2017 to July 2018 was used as the dependent variable. On the other hand, hydrological and meteorological data were used as independent variables in the study. As a result of evaluating the predictive power, the water level prediction model using DNN was selected as the final model as it showed an RMSE value of 6.359 and an NRMSE value of 18.91%. This research study is believed to be useful especially as a basic data for the development of wetland maintenance and management techniques using the water level of the existing unmeasured points.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of educational training and psychosocial characteristics such as self-efficacy and social support on job involvement in dental hygienists. A total of 418 dental hygienists who were working in S, I and G area were recruited in this study. A self-administered questionnaire was used to evaluate individual and job characteristics, educational training, self-efficacy and social support of the study subjects. Hierarchical regression analysis was performed to examine the relationship of individual and job characteristics, educational training, self-efficacy and social support to job involvement. All statistical analyses were performed using the IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 20.0 for Windows, and p<0.05 was considered significant. The results show that learning experiences of liberal arts or social sciences as a part of college curriculum (t=-2.406), self-efficacy (t=3.728) and social support at work (t=4.391) were significantly associated with job involvement in dental hygienists. Dental hygienists who were having experiences of liberal arts or social sciences as a part of college curriculum, showing higher levels of self-efficacy, and receiving adequate social support from supervisors or coworkers at work were more likely to feel job involvement. They explained 17.4% of total variance of job involvement. This result suggests that experiences of liberal arts or social sciences as a part of college curriculum, higher levels of self-efficacy, and adequate social support from supervisors or coworkers at work might play an important role in increasing job involvement of dental hygienists. It is strongly required to develop individual and organizational program or training to promote a positive attitude to their job as a key professionals in the field of dental health, and to increase job involvement of dental hygienists.
Web sites on the internet are getting major resources to gain information related to child care. Though the numerous web sites deliver child care information, they have never been evaluated with criteria before. The purpose of this study is to identify existence and organization of child care portal sites and to analysis their contents, therefore to suggest guidelines for parents. The survey was conducted from Sep. 1. to Oct. 30., 2001. by means of Lycos Korea and Daum search engine and finally 45 portal sites related to child care were selected eliminating the commercial and personal homepages. The results were as follows: 1. Most of the sites(95.6%) were operated by corporations without registration(82.2%). Consultants were mostly professional (71.1%). 2. The contents were analyzed 4 categories including 19 themes. 3. Diet & Nutrition category include weaning food, breast feeding, bottle feeding and snack. The recipe and type of weaning food on months were topped(64.44%). 4. Infant Care category include bathing, sleeping, clothes, skin care and cord care. bathing method and heat of bathing water were topped(44.44%). 5. Growth & Development category was consisted of developmental characteristics, dental growth, play & exercise and learning & guidance. Developmental stage and motor development were topped (62.22%). 6. Health maintenance & promotion category was consisted of emergency care, prevention of accidents, vaccination, common pediatric disease and parental role. Care of diarrhea, constipation and fever, and precautions for vaccination were topped(48.89%).
On the basis of Sternberg's the theory of mental self-government, this study investigated the differences in students' thinking styles between gifted and average students and the differences in teachers' thinking styles by school quality (gifted school/ average school), sex, professional teaching experience (as measured by duration), and subject of teaching. The subjects were consisted of 191 gifted high school freshmen, 245 average high school freshmen, and 73 teachers. The results of this study were as follows: First, there were statistical differences in many of thinking styles between gifted and average student school. Gifted students scored higher on the legislative, executive, judicial, global, and hierarchic, internal thinking styles. Second, there were no differences in teachers' thinking styles by school quality (gifted school/ average school). Third, teachers with more professional teaching experience (as measured by duration) tended to score higher on the executive, local, and conservative thinking styles. Fourth, there were no differences in teachers' thinking styles by sex and by subject of teaching. To conclude, the thinking styles of students and teachers can play an important role in teaching and learning in schools. Therefore, we need the cognition of thinking styles of students and teachers for the ideal gifted identification and instructional procedures.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of common competency, managerial competency, and job competency, which are perceived management consultants' competencies, on organizational performance and management characteristics of these managers. The hypothesis 2 shows that the influence of the management consultant capacity and the management performance on the Hypothesis 1 and the moderating effect of the hypothesis 2 management characteristics are as follows. First, common competence, management competence, and job competence, which are H1 management consultant capacities, have been shown to have a positive (+) influence on financial performance and non - financial performance. Second, the characteristics of manager in H2 were partially shown by the common competence between management consultant capacity and management performance. Therefore, in order to establish a corporate sustainability management system and implement it strategically, a consulting firm should select a consultant with excellent management consultant capability and execute management consulting. In addition, management consultants were required to have diverse learning, experience and management plans to improve their qualitative performance. Despite the fact that managerial characteristics represent partial regulatory roles, they actively play a central role in the survival and development of corporations, requiring active publicity so that the organizational characteristics of managers can be understood.
