  • Market orientation emphasizes the capability of a firm to learn customers, competitors, and inter-functional coordination and to use this market intelligence of creating superior value in the marketplace. In recent years, academic and practitioner interest has focused on market orientation and factors that engender this orientation in organizations. Although the merits of maintaining organizational learning have been extensively discussed in the literature, little studies examine the empirical link between market orientation and organizational learning which has a strong relation with it. The objective of this study is to assess the relationship between organizational commitment, market orientation, and organizational learning and presents more close a relational structure. The relationships between organizational commitment(OC), market orientation (MO), and organizational learning(OL) were analysed by structural equation modelling. a structure of OC-MO-OL is supported by our research and past literatures.

  • This study investigates the relationships among learning motivation, learning immersion, and academic achievement in college-level nursing students who give non-face-to-face online lectures. The data for this study were collected using questionnaires given to 147 students attending four-year nursing colleges at two universities. For the data analysis method, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, the Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used. As a result of the study, the average motivation was 101.29±12.18 points, learning commitment was 72.02±8.03 points, and academic achievement was 31.31±4.06 points. The relationships among learning motivation, learning commitment, and adaptation to college life showed significant positive correlations. In the results of multiple regression analysis, factors influencing the academic achievements of nursing students were found to be learning motivation and learning commitment. Therefore, in order to increase academic achievement in nursing college students, it is necessary to develop a specific strategy to improve learning motivation and to develop various activities and programs to immerse students in learning.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to construct the education applying the Havruta method for nursing students and to investigate the effects on self-directed learning ability, critical thinking, and learning commitment. Methods: A nonequivalent control group pre-posttest design was used. The participants were 63 nursing students (experimental group, n=31; control group, n=32) at two universities. The experimental group received education applying the Havruta method for five weeks. The study was conducted from September 1 to November 30, 2022. The data were analyzed using IBM SPSS 27.0 for an χ2 test, Fisher's exact test, independent t-test, and Mann-Whitney U-test. Results: The experimental group had a significant increase in self-directed learning ability (z=-2.13, p=.033). However, there was no significant difference in critical thinking competency (t=0.64, p=.524) and learning commitment (t=0.04, p=.969) between the two groups. Conclusion: The Havruta method is an effective nursing education tool for self-directed learning ability. The result of this study could be a guide for nursing professors in designing and implementing educational programs that apply the Havruta method. In the future, research that applies the Havruta method and evaluates its effectiveness in nursing education programs should be continued.
