  • Most questions made for remote examinations on E-learning databank based selection system use methods of making questions automatically using degree of difficulty. This methods is the kernel of a question selection that degree of difficulty as make test questions, and then needs continuous management for degree of difficulty. This paper present improved algorithms for dynamically adjustment of degree of difficulty based on examination result that is more efficient set of question. We identified this algorithms is more effective as compared with previously algorithms on web-based education system.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the behavioral characteristics of elementary second graders depending on SL-BIS/BAS (Behavioral Inhibition/Activation System about Science Learning) in science learning situation. For this study, 20 second grade students participated. This study followed a phenomenological research method, a form of qualitative research. As the results show, students who have a sensitive motivation system to SL-BIS directly expressed their disappointment of the result and easily get distracted in class when they failed in science learning activity. They participated in group work passively, for example, they interacted less in the group or avoided answering questions. Even though the students have a lot of questions that were usually simple, empty or repetitive words. They have within themselves the good will of challenging difficult experiment that was their only expression of passive will. The students have a tendency to be dependent on their friends in an experiment, making it unlikely that they preferred group work from the beginning. Otherwise, students who have sensitive motivation system to SL-BAS endured science learning activity to the end regardless of the negative result. In particular, they were enthusiastically working on home-school materials. When the students succeeded in the experiment, they responded to the cheers and openly expressed their feeling. They were satisfied with their achievement. The students have more desire for in-depth activity. Their questions were more progressive, specific and expanded. They showed a strong desire to challenge difficult experiment and preferred to interact with their group members to help each other. Based on the results, they were limited but we could find that the behavioral characteristics of second grade students in science learning situations can be predicted with a score of SL-BIS/BAS t.

  • Digital transformation is accelerating in all industries due to COVID-19 and rapidly developing ICT technology. In the field of education, teaching methods that combine various IT devices and software technologies are being applied. The education requires a future learning environment using EduTech such as digital learning tools. We perform a case study on the use of digital learning tools for effective class. In this study, digital learning tools were applied to an university class. The class was held in the second semester of 2022 at A university, with 67 students participating. In our case, QuizN, Mentimeter, and Google Forms were applied as digital learning tools. In order to evaluate our case, a survey was conducted using the Google Questionnaire. From the results of the survey evaluation, more than 85% of all survey questions answered that they were satisfied. From it, digital learning tools were shown to be effective in class operation.

  • The collaborative learning has been considered as an efficient teaching model and under the recent basic learning environment, even face-to-face classroom circumstance rapidly increases the courses of blended learning which utilize the merits of e-learning environment. Nonetheless, the study on the strategy for systematic blended learning is quite scarce. In this study, the survey was done for developing the blended learning strategy, based on the collaborative learning model at the face-to-face environment and judging the satisfaction on the courses which the model was applied to. The survey consists of demographic questions, satisfaction in the whole courses, satisfaction in the collaborative learning under the blended learning environment and satisfaction in the blended learning strategy and support tools applied to each step of the learning. The result of this study is as follows. First, in response to the question that the blended learning can complement the face-to-face classroom courses, the respondents represented average 4.09 at 5-point Likert scale. And to the question whether the collaborative learning is more efficient under the blended learning environment than the face-to-face classroom, the response corresponds to 4.06 scale on the average. Second, as for the satisfaction in the blended learning strategy and support tools applied to the each step of the blended learning, the satisfaction degree is analyzed as high as over 4.0 on the average toward all the questions. Third, regarding the support tools used for the blended learning strategy, the learners consider the tools as most helpful in order of chatting, team community, mail & note and archive. Lastly, I would like to suggest that the study result should be highly reflected in constructing the collaborative learning module of learning control system in the future.

  • Self-Regulated Learning Strategy is a kind of learning strategy that learners could choose and apply metacognitive, cognitive, motivational, and behavioral strategy autonomically and could take an active part in the classes. The purpose of the study was to identify aspects of self-regulated learning strategy with mathematical journal writing. Mathematical journal was composed of 13 questions and each of factor had 1~2 questions. The results of the study have revealed that metacognitive strategies were identified as setting up learning goals, seeking problem solving strategies, reflective thinking and providing examples. Cognitive strategy was identified as understanding the structure among ideas, sequential ranking and key ideas. Motivational strategy was identified as satisfaction and anxiety for studies, confidence and frustration for next studies. There are implications for mathematics education that self-regulated learning strategy can be improved with mathematical journal writing and help students to study mathematics efficiently and successfully.

  • Web based learning has been used for many educational systems by aid of the development of internet technique. The true process of education includes not only learning contents but also learning process and the evaluation. So far, Web-based evaluation mainly consists of the evaluation of the learning products or the evaluation of the cognitive domain. But, there is lack of the appropriate feedback for learning effects. In this paper, we design and implement an evaluation system for Web-based instruction. In our system, the learners are evaluated during the process of Web-based learning. Our system provides learner-centered instruction for students with instant feedback. The questions made up by teachers are stored in the database and can be searched by a keyword, grade, semester or unit. The evaluation system can also provide the feedback to right or wrong answer for each question. Our system provides the learners with instant feedback after solving the questions and also can improve the quality of learning process using the Web.

  • One of the important aims in mathematics education is to enhance mathematical thinking for students. And students posing questions is a vital process in mathematical thinking as it is part of the reasoning and communication of their learning. This paper investigates how students develop their mathematical thinking through working on tasks in fractions and posing their own questions after successfully solved the problems. The teaching was conducted in primary five classes and the results showed that students' reasoning is related to their analogy with what previously learned. Also, posing their problems after solving the problem not only helps students to understand the structure of the problem, it also helps students to explore on different routes in solving the problem and extend their learning content.

  • New technologies have turned theories of education engineering into practice and also made education more efficient. One of them is the theory of 'Computer Adaptive Testing(CAT)'. This study is aimed to design and develop a web-based teaming system by making up for the weak points in the existing computer adaptive testing(CAT). The characteristics of the system are as follows: Firstly, tests can be controlled to fit the teachers' purposes by putting in different levels of both questions and samples. Secondly, this system does not test the same number of questions as students with different levels of ability do on a paper test, but a test can be taken according to their level. Thus this system is able to correctly judge learners' ability in a short time.

  • This study has been done to help teach mathematics on the spot of education by providing the history of mathematics and illustrations concerning mathematics, which were rearranged for the level of the second grade students in highschool and intented to interest students in mathematics classes. The contents of teaching, according to each unit (Matrix, Sequence, Limit, Differentiation, Integration, Probability, Statistics) include the life of the representative mathematician, the historical background centered on episodes, questions linked with reality, questions making sensations in history and something for maxim in mathematics. If such contents are properly used, they are expected to be able to stimulate students' curiosity, and to be effective in improving students' learning ability in mathematics by causing them to show their active attitudes toward learning mathematics.
