  • Emotion을 이용한 컴퓨터 인공 지능, 그래픽, 로봇, 상호 작용 등 다양한 분야에 나타나고 있다. 이에 각 분야에 적용되어진 이론적 배경과, 적용의 특징, 기술 등을 본 글에서 다루고자 한다. 먼저 이론적 접근방식에 있어서는 심리학적 접근과, 사람의 감정 연구, Behavior-Bas설 접근, 생물 행동적 접근, 등이 있으며 이를 구현하기 위한 기술로는 학습 알고리즘, Neural Network 의 Self-Organizing Maps, Fuzzy Cognition Maps등이 있다. 적용 분야로는 Software Agent, Agent Robot과 Entrainment Robot 등이 있다. 본 글에서는 이들의 적용 사례들을 살펴보고 Emotion Architecture에 대해서 분석하고자 한다.

중학교 통계단원에 대한 스토리텔링 학습 자료의 수업 적용 효과 (Effects on storytelling materials of statistics in the middle school classroom lesson)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze effects on storytelling materials of statistics in the middle school classroom lesson. For this purpose, a story is developed by the Zazkis & Liljedahl's model and applied to the 7th graders of 4 classes in a middle school. After the comparison between 5 hours of storytelling lessons and ordinary lessons, the following research findings are obtained. First, storytelling material brings a positive effect on student's academic achievement. It is also shown by the qualitative analysis that this result was caused by cognition of data observation, data transformation, and unification of data with context. Second, storytelling material brings a positive effect on student's affective attitude. It is also validated by the qualitative analysis that students show the positive change in mathematical value cognition and the interests in the lesson.

  • Language is one aspect of cognition, along with attention and concentration, learning and memory, visuospatial abilities, and executive function. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of language intervention by cognitive approach on language expressive performance in a patient with conduction aphasia. This study used several tasks such as Attention and concentration task, visual memory tasks, memory tasks, categorization, divergent thinking, self-monitoring and evaluate thinking. The effects of treatment were evaluated by periodic probing of both trained and untrained familiar words in three tasks; picture naming, answering to questions and telling stories. The results showed improvements both in trained and untrained words. Therefore, we concluded that expressive language performance of this aphasic patient is amenable to this intervention, and that cognitive therapy approach can be useful.

  • Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) is one of the most successful professional development programs for elementary mathematics teachers in US. This article introduces its theoretical background, research-based framework of addition and subtraction work, and how the program has been disseminated. Carpenter and Fennema started CGI aiming to develop a professional development program that focused on research knowledge of children"s thinking. Their goal was. to bring a significant change in teaching by helping teachers understand how children think mathematically. This 3-year NSF funded project grew to be 11-year long, and a number of publications have reported consistent successful learning and teaching by CGI students and teachers compared to counterparts throughout US. CGI′s success by focusing on improving teachers′ knowledge of children′s thinking offers possible opportunities for teacher educators to re-conceptualize teacher education in Korea.

사회적 상호 작용을 강조한 초등 과학 수업이 메타인지, 과학 학습 동기, 학업 성취도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Elementary Science Lessons Emphasizing Social Interactions on the Metacognition, Learning Motive and Academic Achievement)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of social interaction on metacognition, learning motive and academic achievement in elementary science learning. The science lessons emphasizing social interactions that is applied to this study was comprised of 5 stages, 'introduction', 'inquiry activity', 'small group emergent activity', 'large group emergent activity', 'conclusion and assessment'. The results of this study were as follows: First, applying the learning model emphasizing social interaction to the experimental group led to a significant difference between the result of the pre- and post-test, regarding metacognition, especifically those of declarative knowledge. And meaningful difference was drawn from the results of all elements in the lower category of regulation of cognition between the experimental and comparison group. Second, a significant difference was found between the pre- and post-test regarding learning motive, especially those of attention, relation, and self-confidence. Third, after applying the learning model emphasizing social interaction to the science classes of the experimental group, students' academic achievement improved significantly in the post-test, compared to the results of pre-test.

초등학생의 컴퓨팅 사고력 신장을 위한 퍼즐 기반 컴퓨터과학 수업모형 및 프로그램 개발 (A Development of a Puzzle-Based Computer Science Instruction Model and Learning Program to improve Computational Thinking for Elementary School Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a Puzzle-Based Computer Science Instruction Model and Learning Program and to confirm the effects. To do so, we selected 2 classes with a similar level of pre-computational thinking in elementary schools in the Jeju Province. After that, from 2 classes, we designated the 5th grade students in 'D' elementary school as group A and designated students of the same grade in 'J' elementary school as group B. In a total of 28 sessions during an 18 week period, a Puzzle-Based Computer Science Learning Program was used with 31 students in group A, and the traditional computer science course was used with 25 students in group B. The results showed that there were significant improvements in computational thinking, which is computational cognition and its creativity, of the students in group A compared to students in group B. Also, this study proved that the Puzzle-Based program correlated with positive changes group A students' Science-Related Affective Domain. In this paper, on the basis of proven effectiveness, we introduce the Puzzle-Based Computer Science Instruction Model and Learning Program as an alternative to traditional, computer science education.

Limiting conditions prediction using machine learning for loss of condenser vacuum event

  • We implement machine learning regression models to predict peak pressures of primary and secondary systems, a major safety concern in Loss Of Condenser Vacuum (LOCV) accident. We selected the Multi-dimensional Analysis of Reactor Safety-KINS standard (MARS-KS) code to analyze the LOCV accident, and the reference plant is the Korean Optimized Power Reactor 1000MWe (OPR1000). eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) is selected as a machine learning tool. The MARS-KS code is used to generate LOCV accident data and the data is applied to train the machine learning model. Hyperparameter optimization is performed using a simulated annealing. The randomly generated combination of initial conditions within the operating range is put into the input of the XGBoost model to predict the peak pressure. These initial conditions that cause peak pressure with MARS-KS generate the results. After such a process, the error between the predicted value and the code output is calculated. Uncertainty about the machine learning model is also calculated to verify the model accuracy. The machine learning model presented in this paper successfully identifies a combination of initial conditions that produce a more conservative peak pressure than the values calculated with existing methodologies.

일 지역 간호대학생의 온라인 수업에서 메타인지, 학습몰입, 문제해결력 관계 (The Relations of Metacognition, Learning Flow and Problem Solving Ability of Online Classes in Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 온라인 수업에서 간호대학생의 메타인지, 학습몰입, 문제해결력 간의 관계를 파악하고 문제해결력에 영향을 미치는 요인을 알아보기 위해 G시 소재 대학에서 온라인 수업에 참여한 2, 3학년 재학생 88명을 대상으로 실시한 서술적 조사연구이다. 분석방법은 SPSS version WIN 23.0을 이용하여 평균, 표준편차, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation, stepwise multiple regression으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 일반적 특성에 따른 학습몰입과 문제해결력의 차이는 학습이후 간호사에 대한 인식과 간호학과 입학동기에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타났으며 문제해결력은 메타인지와 학습몰입감과 유의한 정적(+) 상관관계가 있었고 메타인지와 학습몰입이 문제해결력에 영향을 미치는 유의한 변수로 나타났다. 연구의 결론은 간호교육에서 온라인 수업으로의 변화 속에 문제해결력을 증가시키기 위해서 학습몰입과 메타인지가 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었고, 메타인지와 학습몰입을 높일 수 있는 교육방법의 변화가 필요하고 이를 위해 체계적인 프로그램 개발에 본 연구가 기초자료가 될 것이다.

미용전공 중국유학생의 셀프리더십이 학업적 자기효능감에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Self-Leadership on Academic Self-Efficacy of Chinese Students in Beauty Major)

  • 본 연구는 미용전공 중국유학생의 셀프리더십과 학업적 자기효능감의 관계를 파악하고, 학업적 자기효능감에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 2019년 7월~10월까지 미용전공 중국유학생 440명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 이용해 자료를 수집하였다. 분석결과는 미용전공 중국유학생의 셀프리더십의 하위요인인 행동지각 및 의지와 건설적 인지는 자기효능감의 과제난이도선호와 자기조절효능감에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 미용전공 중국유학생의 행동지각 및 의지, 건설적 인지수준을 높인다면 미용 전공 중국유학생들이 전공지식과 전문실력을 갖추는 데 있어 도움이 될 수 있으며, 특히 대학교육에서 중국유학생들을 대상으로 셀프리더십에 대한 이해와 전략을 융합한 체계적인 교육 프로그램을 제공할 필요성이 있다.

이미지 인식 기반의 지도학습을 활용한 생산관리 효율화 방법에 관한 연구 (A study on Production Management Efficiency Method using Supervised Learning based Image Cognition)

  • 최근 제조 산업에서 생산공정 관리에 대한 인공지능 솔루션 수요가 증가하고 있다. 그러나, 제조산업의 AI 솔루션 적용을 통하여 POP, MES와 같은 레거시 스마트공장 솔루션의 한계가 존재한다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 이를 극복하기 위하여 이미지 인식 시스템에 인공지능 개념인 지도학습을 적용하여, 생산관리 효율을 향상시키고자 하였다. 시스템 흐름에서는 As_is To be를 구분하여 실제 업무 흐름을 적용하였으며, 전체 생산성 효율을 위하여 프로세스 개선을 하였다. AI 지도학습을 위한 사전 전처리 계획을 수립하고 관련 AI 모델 설계, 개발, 시뮬레이션을 수행하여, 그 결과로는 97%의 인식률을 확인하였다.
