  • The bonding structure of organic materials such as fluorinated amorphous carbon films was classified into two types due to the chemical shifts. The electrical properties of fluorinated amorphous carbon films also showed very different effect of two types notwithstanding a very little difference. Fluorinated amorphous carbon films with the cross-link break-age structure existed large leakage current resulting from effect of the electron tunneling. Increasing the cation due to the electron-deficient group increased the barrier height of the films with the cross-link amorphous structure, therefore the electric characteristic of the final materials with low dielectric constant was also improved. The lowest dielectric constant is 2.3 at the sample with the cross-link amorphous structure.

  • We implemented the document DRM applying role based access control(RBAC) mechanism for preventing the information leakage of a document which is transmitted in network environment. It must prevent to access document not related to user role and duty, and must allow operation to document for improving security, considering user role and security level according to a document importance. We improved the security of document DRM by adding to the access control module applying RBAC for satisfying security requirements. Though the user access document, our system allows operation authorizations to document by the user's role & security level and the security attribute of RBAC. Our system prevents indiscriminate access to the documents by user who is not associated with the role, and prevents damage the confidentiality and integrity.

  • FinTech has expanded to the extent that not only businesses but almost everyone can feel the impact. The spread of the scope of use has introduced a variety of new financial services that are changing the way we live. In these environments, it is important to develop reliable security measures to protect against cyber attacks. The number of mobile financial transactions in the financial sector is also increasing, making security vulnerable. In this study, we studied security through mutual authentication method that can safely handle financial security and focused on FinTech's security processing through multi-party mutual authentication method that strongly prevents leakage of information even in the event of continuous and sophisticated attacks.

  • The cloud has already become the core infrastructure of information systems, and government institutions are rapidly migrating information systems to the cloud. Government institutions in several countries use private clouds in their closed networks. However, because of the advantages of public clouds over private clouds, the demand for public clouds is increasing, and government institutions are expected to gradually switch to public clouds. When all data from government institutions are managed in the public cloud, the biggest concern for government institutions is the leakage of confidential data. The public-private-partnership (PPP) cloud provides a solution to this problem. PPP cloud is a form participation in a public cloud infrastructure and the building of a closed network data center. The PPP cloud prevents confidential data leakage and leverages the benefits of the public cloud to build a cloud quickly and easily maintain the cloud. In this paper, based on the case of the PPP cloud applied to the Korean government, the concept, architecture, operation model, and contract method of the PPP cloud are presented.

  • As advances in computer technology, dissemination of smartphones and tablet PCs has increased and digital media has become easily accessible. The performance of computer hardware is improved and the form of hardware is changed, but basically the change in mechanism was not occurred. Typically, the data used in the program is resident in memory during the operation because of the operating system efficiency. So, these data in memory is accessible through the memory dumps or real-time memory analysis. The user's personal information or confidential data may be leaked by exploiting data; thus, the countermeasures should be provided. In this paper, we proposed the method that minimizes user's data leakage through finding the physical memory address of the process using virtual memory address, and initializing memory data of the process.

  • Recently, controversy has been raised over the security and safety of Chinese-made network equipment (Huawei 5G), apps (TikTok, etc.). In particular, according to the results of the Ministry of Defense investigation in 2020, malicious codes were found in CCTVs made in China that were delivered as military surveillance equipment used as a coast guard system, and specific information was remotely transmitted to a Chinese server. The safety issues of these Chinese security products can be questioned as being systematically led by the state rather than by companies or individuals. In this paper, we perform network and process level analysis of 360 Total Security(360 TS), a Chinese antivirus software. In addition, it compares and analyzes the domestic cloud-based vaccine V3 Lite product. Through this, the safety of Chinese security solutions is checked and information leakage and risks are suggested.

  • Both multi-channel temperature monitoring and geophysical electric survey were performed together for an embankment to assess the leakage zone. Temperature variation according to space and time on the inner parts of engineering constructions (e.g.: dam and slope) can be basic information for diagnosing their safety problem. In general, as constructions become superannuated, structural deformation (e.g.: cracks and defects) could be generated by various factors. Seepage or leakage of water through the cracks or defects in old dams will directly cause temperature anomaly. This study shows that the position of seepage or leakage in dam body can be detected by multi-channel temperature monitoring using thermal line sensor. For that matter, diverse temperature monitoring experiments for a leakage physical model were performed in the laboratory. In field application of an old earth fill dam, temperature variations for water depth and for inner parts of boreholes located at downstream slope were measured. Temperature monitoring results for a long time at the bottom of downstream slope of the dam showed the possibility that temperature monitoring can provide the synthetic information about flowing path and quantity of seepage of leakage in dam body. Geophysical data by electrical method are also added to help interpret data.

  • In this paper, we presented a strengthening plan to prevent personal information leakage incidents by securing legal compliance for personal information impact assessment and suggesting measures to strengthen privacy during personal information impact assessment. Recently, as various services based on big data have been created, efforts are being made to protect personal information, focusing on the EU's GDPR and Korea's Personal Information Protection Act. In this society, companies entrust processing of personal information to provide customized services based on the latest technology, but at this time, the problem of personal information leakage through consignees is seriously occurring. Therefore, the use of personal information by trustees.

  • The existing timeout based cache leakage management techniques reduce the leakage energy consumption of the cache significantly by switching off the power supply to the inactive cache line. Since these techniques were mainly proposed for single-processor systems, their efficiency is reduced significantly in multiprocessor systems with a shared L2 cache because of the cache interferences among simultaneously executing tasks. In this paper, we propose a novel cache partition strategy which partitions the shared L2 cache considering the inactive cycles of the cache line. Furthermore, we propose the adaptive task-aware timeout management technique which considers the characteristics of each task and adapts the timeout dynamically. Experimental results from the simulation show that the proposed technique reduces the leakage energy consumption of the shared L2 cache by 73% for the 2-way CMP and 56% for the 4-way CMP on average compared to the existing representative leakage management technique, respectively.
