MODIS 위성영상으로부터 추출된 엽면적지수(LAI)가 SLURP 모형의 Penman-Monteith 증발산량 추정에 미치는 영향 평가 (Assessment of MODIS Leaf Area Index (LAI) Influence on the Penman-Monteith Evapotranspiration Estimation of SLURP Model)

  • Evapotranspiration (ET) is an important factor while simulating daily streamflow in hydrological models. The LAI (Leaf Area Index) value reflecting the conditions of vegetation generally affects considerably in the estimation of ET, for example, when using FAO Penman Monteith equation. Recently in evaluating the vegetation condition as a fixed quantity, the remotely sensed LAIs from MODIS satellite data are avaliable, and the time series values of spatial LAI coupled with land use classes are utilized for ET evaluation. The 4 years (2001-2004) MODIS LAI data were prepared for the evaluation of continuous hydrological model, SLURP (Semi-distributed Land Use-based Runoff Processes). The model was applied for simulating the dam inflow of Chungjudam watershed ($6661.58\;km^2$) located in the upstream of Han river basin of South Korea. From the model results, the FAO Penman Monteith ET was affected by the MODIS LAIs. Especially for the ET of deciduous forest, the Total ET was 33.9 % lager than coniferous forest for the 3.8 % lager of LAI. The watershed average LAI caused a 7.0 % decrease in average soil moisture of the watershed and 14.3 % decrease of ground water recharge.

대두의 생장 및 질소 경제에 미치는 Nitrate 구배의 영향 (Effects of Nitrate Gradients on Growth and Nitrogen Economy of Soybean Plant)

  • Soybeans(Glycine max Merr. cv. Kwanggyo), inoculated with Rhizobium japonicum 110 and then sand-cultured with nitrate gradients (0, 1, 3, 10 and 30mM KNO3). were studied on the growth analysis, nitrogen fixation and nitrogen economy during the growing period. The maxium values of total leaf area, biomass and nitrogen quantity were increased 139%, 122% and 161%, respectively with higher concentration of nitrate treatment. Nodulation showed significant linear correlation with leaf area growth for each treatment of nitrate concentration increased. The more nitrate concentration increased, the more distribution ratios of dry matter and nitrogen to nodule decreased, and the more T/R ratios, CGR and N content increased. On the other hand, F/C ratios and RGR showed little changes. The amounts of nitrogen fixation of soybean alloted to 0, 1, 3, 10 and 30mM nitrate treatments were 100, 46, 14, 0.1 and 0.004% for the total nitrogen assimilation, respectively. The nitrogen utility of soybean plant was smaller than that of other plants and ranged from 23 to 30 at varying nitrate gradients.

노쇠중인 밀잎에서 Benzyladenine에 의한 막단백질의 안정화 (Stabilization of Membrane Proteins by Benzyladenine during Wheat Leaf Senescence)

  • 암배양을 통한 노쇠중인 밀 제1엽에서 지질의 과산화반응과 불용성 잎단백질의조성 및 엽록체 틸라코이드 막단백질 조성의 변화에 대한 BA의 효과가 조사되었다. 성숙한 밀 제1엽을 잘라내어 4일간의 암배양을 통한 노쇠유도실험에서 $10^{-5}\;M$ Benzyladenine(BA)은 노쇠중인 밀잎에서 엽록소 함량 및 수용성과 불용성 단백질 함량의 감소를 크게 억제시켰다. 특히, 단배질 함량 감소에 대한 BA의 억제효과는 수용성 보다는 불용성 단백질에 있어서 더욱 현저하였다. 또한, BA로 처리된 잎에서 지질의 과산화물인 MDA 함량의 증가가 억제되었다. 불용성 단백질에 대한 SDS-전기영동 결과 양적으로 현저한 57, 26 및 12 KD 단백질이 다른 소량의 단백질 무리와 함께 분리되었다. 대조구 잎에서의 불용성단백질 조성의 변화는 72시간의 암배양동안 57 KD와 12 KD 단백질이 현저하게 분해 소실되었으나 26 KD 단백질은 비교적 분해가 덜 일어났으며 BA 처리시 이들 단백질의 소실이 크게 억제되었다. 엽록체 틸라코이드막 단백질 조성의 경우, 각각 CF의 $\alpha,\;\beta$ subunits인 59 KD 단백질과 57 KD 단백질 및 LHCP 단백질인 26 KD 단백질을 포함하는 20개 정도의 단백질이 SDS-전기영동상에서 분리되었다. 72시간의 암배양 동안 대조구 엽록체에서 이들 단백질들이 급속히 분해 소실되었으나 BA로 처리된 엽록체의 경우 이들 단백질의 분해가 정량적으로 크게 억제되었다. 위의 결과들은 BA가 노쇠중인 밀잎에서 막지질의 과산화반응 억제를 통해 막단백질의 손실을 지연시키며 그로 인하여 엽록체 틸라코이드막을 포함한 세포막이 유지될 수 있음을 나타내었다.

싸리(Lespedeza bicolor Turcz.)의 공생 질소고정활성과 생육환경요인의 변화 (Changes of Nitrogen-Fixation Activity and Environmental Factors of Growth in Lespedeza bicolor Turcz)

  • 형제봉 서쪽 사면에 소나무와 혼생하는 싸리군집의 생육기간중 공생근류의 질소고정활성의 계절변화와 환경요인의 특성을 분석하였다. 근류는 1년생으로서 그 활성은 최대생장기인 6월중에 최대치 $120\;\mu\textrm{M}\;C_2H_2{\cdot}nodule\;g\;fw^{-1}{\cdot}hr^{-1}$이었고, 생육휴지기에는 활성이 소실되었다. 질소고정활성에 대한 최적의 pH, 온도 및 산소농도는 각각 중성, $30^{\circ}C$ 및 18 Kpa $O_2$의 호기상태였으며, 토양수분의 stress는 1.5 Mpa에서 56%의 활성감소를 보였으며, ${NO_3}^{-}와\;{NH_4}^{+}$ 1 mM 처리는 각각 85%와 12%의 활성저해를 보였다. 토양환경은 약산성으로 질소, 인 및 유기물함량이 빈약하였고 잎의 엽면적과 엽록소함량은 각각 $440-483\;\textrm{cm}^2{\cdot}g^{-1}와\;33-32\;$\mu\textrm{g}\;chl{\cdot}g^{-1}$이었다. 잎, 뿌리 및 줄기의 질소함량은 각각 46, 19 및 $11\;mgN{\cdot}g\;dw^{-1}$, 인은 4.2, 1.2 및 $0.6\;mg{\cdot}g\;dw^{-1}$이었고, 각 기관별 질소와 인의 분배율은 잎에서 60, 59%, 뿌리에 73, 70% 그리고 줄기에 22, 26%이었다.

The Respective Effects of Shoot Height and Conservation Method on the Yield and Nutritive Value, and Essential Oils of Wormwood (Artemisia montana Pampan)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the shoot height at which the yield and nutritive value of wormwood (Artemisia montana) is optimized in order to provide information on its potential to support animal production (Experiment 1). A second objective was to determine how the essential oil (EO) concentration in wormwood hay and silage differ (Experiment 2). In Experiment 1, Artemisia montana was harvested at five different shoot heights (20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 cm) from triplicate $1.8{\times}1.8m$ plots. Dry matter (DM) yield was measured at each harvest date and the harvested wormwood was botanically separated into leaf, stalk and whole plant fractions and analyzed for chemical composition and in vitro dry matter digestibility (DMD). Values for total digestible nutrients (TDN), digestible energy (DE) and metabolizable energy (ME) were subsequently calculated using prediction equations. Dry matter yields of stalk and whole plant increased linearly (p<0.001) and leaf yield increased quadratically (p<0.01) with shoot height, whereas the leaf/stalk ratio decreased linearly (p<0.001). As shoot height increased, there was a linear increase (p<0.001) in leaf DM, ether extract (EE) and neutral detergent fiber (NDF) contents and a quadratic increase (p<0.05) in leaf acid detergent fiber (ADF) and nitrogen free extract (NFE) contents, and stalk and whole plant DM (p<0.001), organic matter (OM, p<0.01 and p<0.05), NDF (p<0.001 and 0.05) and NFE (p<0.05) contents. However, there were decreases in leaf crude protein content (CP, quadratic, p<0.001) and stalk and whole plant EE content (linear, p<0.001), CP (quadratic, p<0.05) and ash (quadratic, p<0.05) contents. Digestibility of DM and TDN, and DE and ME value in leaves were not affected by increasing shoot height, but these measures linearly decreased (p<0.001) in stalk and whole plant. In Experiment 2, the hay had higher DM and CP concentrations, but lower EE concentration than the silage. Essential oil (EO) content in wormwood silage (0.49 g/100 g DM) was higher (p<0.05) than that in wormwood hay (0.32 g/100 g DM). Wormwood hay contained 25 essentail oils (EO) including camphor (10.4 g/100 g), 1-borneol (11.6 g/100 g) and caryophyllene oxide (27.7 g/100 g), and wormwood silage had 26 EO constituents including 3-cyclohexen-1-ol (8.1 g/100 g), trans-caryophyllene (8.6 g/100 g) and ${\gamma}$-selinene (16.8 g/100 g). It is concluded that the most ideal shoot height for harvesting wormwood is 60 cm based on the optimization of DM yield and nutritive value. Wormwood silage had a greater quantity and array of EO than wormwood hay.

광주기에 따른 배초향의 개화 및 화서 발달 특성 (Flowering and Inflorescence Development Characteristics of Korean Mint Affected by Different Photoperiods)

  • 배초향은 잎을 식용으로 이용하는 작물로 영양생장을 유지하여 잎의 품질과 수량을 높이는 것이 중요하다. 작물의 생장이 영양생장에서 생식생장으로 전환될 경우 잎의 발달이 저하되어 상품성이 하락할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 광주기에 따른 배초향 식물의 개화 특성 및 화서 발달을 조사하여 잎 생산을 위한 적정 광주기를 선발하기 위해 수행되었다. 배초향 종자를 2021년 11월 29일에 105구 트레이에 파종하여 본엽이 4매 발생한 배초향 식물체를 2021년 12월 27일에 각각 포트에 정식하였다. 정식 후 명기/암기 시간을 10/14hrs, 12/12hrs, 14/10hrs, 16/8hrs로 조절하여 처리하였다. 정식 19일 후 광주기가 짧았던10/14hrs에서 첫 개화를 확인하였으며, 12/12hrs에서 20일, 그 외 처리에서는 21일 이후 개화하는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 명주기가 암주기에 비해 짧을수록 화서의 발달이 증가하는 것을 통해 본 식물이 양적 단일식물의 특성을 가짐을 확인하였다. 배초향의 생육은 광주기가 길수록 엽장, 엽수, 지상부의 생체중 및 건물중, 엽면적이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 명주기를 14시간 이상으로 처리하는 것이 배초향의 엽채류로서의 생산성을 높이는 데 적합할 것으로 판단된다.

  • This experiment was carried out in order to study the changes of morphological characters of the growth and thatch accumulation in :3 varieties of Kentucky bluegrass under removing clipping residues as affected by cutting management. The varieties used were Park, Kenhiuc and Newport.The results obtained are as follows; 1. The dry weight of leaf. stem and number of tiller was highest at 22. June and lowest at 21. Aug in alt varieties. And then the dry weight of rhizome, root and thatch increased with growth progressed) Tabte 3). 2. The relationship of the dry weight of biological yield and number of tillers was quadratic ally increased in the growth stage of spring($R^2$= 0.982**), and linearlly increased in the growth stage of autumn(r 0.944*)(Fig. 1). :3. The dry weight of thatch increased as an exponentially equation in alt :3 varieties of Kentucky blue-grass(Fig. 2). Thatch increased rate(TIR) can used to estimate the specifying a quantity of thatch accumulation from the turf. Thatch increase rate equation as follows. where TH$_2$ is the dry weightof thatch at T$_2$ survey time and TH$_1$ is the dry weight of thatch at $TH_1$ is the dry weight of thatch at $T_1$ survey time. $TIR(mg/cm^2/day)=\frac{Ln\;TH_2 - Ln\; TH_1}{T_2 - T_1}$ 4. Correlation coefficients between the dry weight of thatch and leaf weight was -0.633(P>0.05), and number of tiller of tillers was -0.666(P>0.5), respectively. It means that thatch accumu-lation increased with growth depression of leaf and stem.

자외선 차단을 위한 한지모자 개발 -은행잎 추출물을 염제로 하여- (The Development of Hanji Hat for UV Blocking -Using Ginkgo leaf extract as a Dye-)

  • The present study proposed to develop a Hanji hat that can protect the body from UV rays and be preferred by consumers. For this purpose, using Hanji dyed by ginkgo leaf extract, we manufactured Hats in 12 designs. The UV blocking rate was determined by putting the hats on a mannequin and measuring the quantity of UV rays penetrating through the hat. In addition, preference for each design was surveyed, and the hat most suitable for the purpose was selected. The results of this study are as follows. 1. The UV blocking rate of the manufactured Hanji hats was over 92% for UVA and 97% for UVB in all of the 12 hats. 2. Among the 12 designs, the UV blocking rate for UVA was highest in 'Design(b)' and 'Design(1)' $(P\leq0.05)$, and the UV blocking rate for UVB was identical in all the designs except 'Design(i)' and 'Design(g)' $(P\leq0.01)$. 3. The effect of UV blocking was highest on the nape of the neck; next, on the brow, the cheeks, the nose and the chin in that order. 4. According to the result of the survey of preference, simple designs such as 'Design(a), (b)' and 'Design(9)' were preferred. In addition, it was found that the design would affect the purchase of a hat marked with a UV blocking index (68%). 5. Based on the results of this research as presented above, 'Design(b)', which showed a high UV blocking effect and was highly preferred, was selected as the most suitable hat for the purpose of this research.

한국잔디 줄기를 이용한 식생기반재 뿜어붙이기공법의 적용성 연구 (A Study on the Applicability of Soil-Media Hydroseeding Measures Using Zoysiagrass's Lateral Stems)

  • A manipulation of zoysiagrass's lateral stems and soil-media; used for slope revegetation, is expected to facilitate the production of high-quality grass. To study the influences on the growth of zoysiagrass depending upon various soil-media conditions, two different types of soil are used. The results obtained - through investigation of its cover rates, leaf color and number - are summarized as follows. In mountain regions soil, there are no significant differences in growth and development of grass in treatments: zoysiagrass's lateral stems treatments with 1cm, 2cm, and 3cm soil-media and treatment with only seeding. Zoysiagrass, in most of the treatments, show about the same growth rates, and at the end, fair visual quality. Zoysiagrass's lateral stems treatments with 2cm, 3cm show slightly better growth, however, thickness of soil-media need not be more than 1cm to obtain an expected quality of lawn. In decomposed granite soil, there appears statistical significance in growth of the grass in treatments: zoysiagrass's lateral stems treatments with 1cm, 2cm, and 3cm soil-media and treatment with only seeding. The thicker the soil-media, the better the growth of grass, and that in treatment with seeding-only shows poor quality in general. And therefore, it is efficacious to plant in 3cm soil-media when quick formation of lawn is necessary; however, using 2cm soil-media is ultimately the most cost-efficient way of formation. But, when time allows - that is, more than three months - 1cm soil-media in decomposed granite soil is reasonable to formate just as effective lawn. And so when performing seeding, additional covering, fertilization or increasing the quantity of seed must be considered.

구기자나무의 재식밀도 및 예취높이가 가공용 잎 생산에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Planting Density and Cutting Height on Production of Leaves for Processing Raw Materials in Goji Berry)

  • Background: The leaves of the goji berry (Lycium chinense Mill.) are used as raw materials in processing and by replace fruits to some extent. The reason is that the leaves are cheaper, however, betaine content is higher than in the fruits. These experiments were conducted to determine the planting density and cutting height for producing a large number of leaves. Methods and Results: The cultivar 'Myeongan' with many branches was used. When the shoot height reached 50 cm - 70 cm, harvesting was possible four times a year. The time to next harvest was approximately 38 days after regeneration of new shoots. Leaf quantity was in the order of 1st > 2nd > 4th > 3rd harvest. Insect damage occurred during the third harvest in late July and early August, therefore, eco-friendly control was necessary. The total yield was higher at the planting density 60 cm × 30 cm than that of 60 cm × 20 cm or 60 cm × 40 cm. The yield at cutting for shoot height of 60 cm was increased by 6.3 percent compared to that of 50 cm, At the cutting height of 70 cm, harvest was difficult owing to hardening of stems and thorns. Betaine content, an indicator component of goji berry, was not significantly different according to planting densities and cutting height. Conclusions: The ideal cutting period to produce leaves of goji berry for processing is when the shoots grow to approximately 60 cm, and the leaves can be harvested 4 times a year. The dried-leaf yield was highest at the planting density of 60 cm × 30 cm.
