Implications to High-tech Starts-up Driven from Implementing Business Model of Leading High Tech Ventures : A Case Study of KOSDAQ Listed High-tech Ventures (선도 기술벤처기업의 비즈니스모델 실행이 창업기업에 주는 시사점 : 코스닥상장기업의 사례분석 중심으로)

  • This paper aims at delivering significant implications to high-tech startups by visualizing the implementation process of leading KOSDAQ listed companies's business model. This paper founded two meaningful outcomes; first, hish-tech starts-up make a clear direction of implementing intangible business model in real business, second, targeting the role model of benchmarking business model among leading companies, by linking common feature between high-tech starts-up and leading KOSDAQ listed venutures sharing one of Key performance indexes falls on viable business model. The research results of visualizing the implementation of leading KOSDAQ listed ventures' business model shows three major implications. First, business model indicates not just simple logic of creating and delivering values, but more shows CEO leading management vehicle. Second, business model represents the multi-dimension process itself of integrating in and out company's core assets and competencies initiated by CEO. Third, financial outcomes of business model is automatic result of implementing on setting target customer, creating value, and delivering it rather than planned strategically. Fourth, the focal points of implementing business model falls on collecting real information from business sites.

  • The number of construction management firms has been increased as construction management delivery system has been active in Korean construction market. the capability of leading construction management professional, who is responsible for managing project administration, is important for commissioning construction management contracts. The quality of project proposal and the capability of leading construction management professional, which are assessed by the board of contract awarding committee, are the major contributors for commissioning the public construction management projects administered by the Korean public procurement service for contracting. Therefore, employing a very competent leading construction management professional is the critical strategy for awarding contract to the construction management firms' part. That is why the firms should secure a fixed number of leading construction management professional in a waiting list to proceed the contract commissioning process for expectant candidate projects, even if there is no project assignable to the leading construction management professionals. However, a measure that makes effectively use of the leading construction management professional in a waiting list has not been systematically implemented in the firms. In turn, the firm suffers considerable loss in a project personnel supply and demand plan. Expert opinions were obtained by the survey questionaries administered to top management of the construction management firms which are engaged in the construction management contracts for commissioning the public construction management projects administered by the Korean public procurement service either as principal or co-principal deliverer. This paper presents the findings obtained by investigating the actual employment state of the leading construction management professional in the waiting list and by analyzing the issues involved in mobilizing and demobilizing them. It contributes to implement a practical guide for searching effective solutions to the issues.

The Vortical Flow Field of Delta Wing with Leading Edge Extension

  • The interaction and breakdown of vortices over the Leading Edge Extension (LEX) - Delta wing configuration has been investigated through wing-surface pressure measurements, the off-surface flow visualization, and 5-hole probe measurements of the wing wake section. The description focused on analyzing the interaction and the breakdown of vortices depending on the angle of attack and the sideslip angle. The Effect of angle of attack and sideslip angle on the aerodynamic load characteristics of the model is also presented. The sideslip angle was found to be a very influential parameter of the vortex flow over the LEX-delta wing configuration. The introduction of LEX vortex stabilized the vortex flow, and delayed the vortex breakdown up to a higher angle of attack. The vortex interaction and breakdown was promoted on the windward side, whereas it was suppressed on the leeward side.

  • In order to improve cavitation characteristics for a high-speed propeller, leading edge shape of a 2-D hydrofoil is investigated numerically and experimentally. For flowfield analysis around the leading edge, the incompressible Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS) equation is solved using the standard $k-\varepsilon$ turbulence model and a finite volume method(FVM). The cavitation thickness, which is occurred on hydrofoil surface, is predicted using the panel code. It is shown that the calculation codes predict the experimental trend fairly well.   • Recently, according to the various taste of consumers, the design of a product is changed variously and complicatedly. The complicated product is not usually constructed with one path but multi-path. By the way, in machining, higher precision and the reduction of leading and machining time is required. But, for the multi-patch sculptured surface, the amount of machining data becomes large. This means the increase of leading and machining time. In this study, the tool path generation method with reparameterization is proposed for multi-patch sculptured surface and variable step size using NURBS is used to satisfy the precision and to reduce leading and machining time.

Positional Stability Analysis of Trailing Aircraft in Formation Flight (편대비행에서 후방 항공기의 위치 안전성 분석)

  • Positional stability analysis based on aerodynamic forces and induced moments of formation flight using two small aircraft models is presented. The aerodynamic force and moments of the trailing aircraft are analyzed in the aspect of flight stability. The induced moments with the change of local flow direction by wing-tip vortex from the leading aircraft can affect the flight positional stability of aircraft in closed formation flight. Aerodynamic forces and moments of trailing aircraft model are measured by 6-component internal balance at the 49 locations with vertical and lateral space between two aircraft models. Results are shown that the positional stability of trailing aircraft in formation flight can be analyzed by positional stability derivatives with vertical and lateral space. It is concluded that flying positions can be important factors for aircraft position stability due to induced aerodynamic force and moments with vertical and lateral spacing by the variation of flow pattern from the leading aircraft in formation flight.

On the Evolution of Leading Waves Generated by a Wavemaker (조파기에 의하여 발생된 선단파의 전개)

  • The evolution of leading waves generated by a wavemaker in a two-dimensional tank has been studied. The front of wave trains can be described in general by the Schrodinger equation. In particular, when the slope of the carrier waves is steep, and hence nonlinearity becomes important, the cubic Schrodinger equation is proved to be an appropriate mathematical model. Computations are made by using the Crank-Nicolson algorithm and compared with experimental data. It is found that the numerical result predicts the evolution of leading waves fairly well and the evolution is significantly affected by nonlinearity for steep waves when kh>1.36.

  • Facing information overload in today's complex environments, managers look to a concise set of marketing metrics to provide direction for marketing decision making. While there have been several papers dealing with the theoretical aspects of dashboard creation, no research creates and tests a dashboard using scientific techniques. This study develops and demonstrates an empirical approach to dashboard metric selection. In a fast moving consumer goods category, this research selects leading indicators for national-brand and store-brand sales and revenue premium performance from 99 brand-specific and relative-to-competition variables including price, brand equity, usage occasions, and multiple measures of awareness, trial/usage, purchase intent, and liking/satisfaction. Plotting impact size and wear-in time reveals that different kinds of variables predict sales at distinct lead times, which implies that managerial action may be taken to turn the metrics around before performance itself declines.

  • The present study deals with the optimization of the leading edge shape around a wing-body junction to minimize the strength of the horseshoe vortex, which is one of the main factor generating the secondary flow losses. For this purpose, approximate optimization method is used for the optimization. The study is performed by using $FLUENT^{TM}$ and $iSIGHT^{TM}$. The total pressure coefficient for the optimized model was decreased about 9.79% compared with the baseline model.
