Purpose: This study has three main purposes: first, to examine the effect of transactional leadership on knowledge sharing and innovative work behavior. Second, to examine the effect of knowledge sharing on innovative work behavior. Third, to examine the mediating role of knowledge sharing in the relationship between transactional leadership and innovative work behavior. Research design, data and methodology: The quantitative method is considered appropriate for this study, and a questionnaire is used to collect data from a total of 107 employees who participated in the study. The SmartPLS-SEM version 3.0 is used to analyze data. Results: The results reveal that transactional leadership has a positive and significant effect on knowledge sharing. However, transactional leadership directly has no significant effect on innovative work behavior. In addition, knowledge sharing positively and significantly affects innovative work behavior. This finding demonstrates that knowledge sharing becomes an essential mediator of transactional leadership and innovative work behavior in distribution market. Conclusions: This study makes a novel contribution by unboxing the limited understanding of the effect of transactional leadership on innovative work behavior mediated by knowledge sharing in the lens of social exchange theory. Also, this study highlights that transactional leader develops bonding and willingness among employees to share their knowledge to foster innovative work behavior.

The study was conducted to compare organizational innovation depending on the leadership type of middle managers in general hospital. Moreover, the study was also to prove whether employees'readiness causes any differences to the link between leadership and organizational innovation. The result is based on 769 sheets of survey paper answered by administrations and nurses working at general hospitals or the same level of hospitals located in the metropolitan area. The methods of analysis used are as follows: reliability analysis, frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, multiple regression analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. Main results of the study can be summarized as below. First, by analyzing the influence of task-behavior leadership on organizational innovation, R squre on knowledge management which is organizational innovation factor was 12.5%, R squre on creativity was 9.1%, and R squre on innovation behavior was 10.3%. Regression model appeared to be statistically significant as well. Both task-behavior and relationship-behavior leadership have influence on organizational innovation and it is learned that relationship-behavior leadership has a bigger influence on all the organizational innovation factors. Second, moderating effect of the employee's readiness is examined in terms of the link between leadership and organizational innovation. As a result, the member's readiness had positive influence when it comes to the link between leadership and organizational innovation. Also, after verifying moderating effect of readiness (ability/willingness), this study shows that ability readiness has positive influence on the link between task-behavior(or relationship-behavior) leadership and creativity, and innovation behavior while willingness readiness positively influences the link between task-behavior(or relationship-behavior) leadership and creativity & innovation behavior. To summarize results of the study, this study shows that the members who possess high readiness also have high organizational innovation, which promises their positive role in a group.

This study examined the effect of safety leadership coaching program on managers' safety management and workers' safety behaviors in construction site. Three or four managers and about one hundred workers at each site participated in this study. Safety leadership coaching program consisted of safety leadership education, goal setting, self-monitoring and feedback on workers' safety behavior, reward for three safety management behaviors; (1) safety observations of workers safety behavior and (2) providing positive feedback on safe behavior (3) providing corrective feedback on risk behavior and daily safety education for workers. Dependent variables were the percentage of safe behaviors of workers and frequency of managers' safety management behaviors. A nonconcurrent AB multiple baseline design across settings was adopted. After baseline(A), safety leadership coaching program (B) was introduced to each site. The results showed that safety leadership coaching program was effective to increase managers' and workers' safety behaviors. These results suggest that safety leadership coaching program developed in this study would be an alternative treatment technique to improve construction safety management. In addition, the implications, limitations of this study, and future studies are discussed.

The semiconductor industry is a competitive, complicated and a cyclical sector with a highly dynamic business climate which requires an effective leadership style to operate and succeed. This study explores the important issue of how leadership facilitates employee innovative work behaviors in the semiconductor industry. Based on the assumptions of the ambidextrous leadership theory and social exchange theory, we collected data from 300 workers employed in the semiconductor industry of South Korea. The study investigated (1) the impact of ambidextrous leadership on innovative work behavior, (2) the mediating effects of workers decision-making autonomy and workplace learning in the relationship between ambidextrous leadership and innovative work behavior, (3) the moderating role of resistance to change in the relationship between ambidextrous leadership and workplace learning, and (4) the moderating role of openness to experience in the relationship between ambidextrous leadership and innovative work behavior. SmartPLS 4 and SPSS v24 was used to analyze our data. The study revealed that ambidextrous leadership positively influences workers innovative work behavior. In addition, decision-making autonomy and workplace learning partially mediated the relationship between ambidextrous leadership and innovative work behavior. Moreover, resistance to change was found to be a significant moderator in the relationship between ambidextrous leadership and workplace learning. Based on these findings, we conclude that ambidextrous leadership is very imperative for semiconductor businesses seeking to foster employee innovative work behaviors. Theoretical and practical implications of the study are also discussed.
This study examined the influence of safety leadership on safety behavior, safety climate and accident using meta analysis. Specifically, safety leadership model which incorporated both transformational and active transactional leadership styles was tested using meta analysis. The results showed that both transformational and active transactional leadership had a positive relationship with safety compliance and participation behavior, and organizational safety climate. However, both leadership styles had a negative relationship with accident. In addition, transformational leadership had significant greater effects on safety behaviors and accident than transactional leadership. In contrast, although there were no significant differences, transactional leadership has a greater effect on the safety climate. These findings suggest that active transactional leadership is important in establishing perceived safety climate of employees, whereas transformational leadership is more related with improving employees' safety behaviors. Therefore, in line with the previous studies of safety leadership, a combination of both transformational and transactional styles will be most beneficial for developing organizational safety management program. Based on these results, practical implications and further research in terms of development for safety leadership program are discussed.
The purpose of this study examines how the self-leadership in organization affects citizenship behavior and which types(transformational leadership, transactional leadership) of leadership can moderate between self-leadership and organizational citizenship behavior. Hypotheses were tested by surveying 255 employees in small and medium enterprises. we conducted exploratory factor analysis for two constructs(behavioral strategy, cognitive strategy) using oblique rotation method that did not assume independence among the factors and main factors of self-leadership were grouped together by two factors. The results of this study are as followings; First, all factors of self-leadership had a significant positive effect on the organizational citizenship behavior. Second, only transformational leadership moderated between cognitive strategy of self-leadership and organizational citizenship behavior.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify self-leadership and attitude to patient falls and fall prevention behavior in nurses. Methods: The participants were 178 nurses from two general hospitals in Seoul. Data were collected from March 20 to May 10, 2012 using structured questionnaires which included a Self-leadership scale, Fall attitude scale, and Fall prevention scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation and Hierarchial multiple regression with the SPSS/WIN 20.0 program. Results: The mean score for nurses' self-leadership was 3.48 (5 point scale). The average reported fall attitude was 3.59 (5 point scale) and fall prevention behavior was 3.26 (4 point scale). Self-leadership had a 18% explanatory power in fall attitude and a 5% explanatory power in fall prevention behavior. The factors which influenced fall prevention behavior were nurses' fall attitude (${\beta}$=.21, p=.009), fall prevention education (${\beta}$=.20, p=.007) and self-leadership (${\beta}$=.16, p=.047). All of the factors together had a 13.1% explanatory power. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that provision of regularly fall prevention education to nurses is required and should include a program to activate their positive attitude and self-leadership in order to improve fall prevention behavior in nurses.
