The purposes of this study are to investigate the relationship between the Piaget’s cognitive developmental theory and the practical course subject in elementary school which have the characteristics of skillful subject and living subject, and to discriminate the suitability of contents of the practical course subject for the childrens’level of cognitive development. This work could serve the theoretical background that the practical course subject presents practical experiences which lead the development of logicomathematical thinking abilities. The results of the content analysis shows that create activities develop the logicomathematical thinking abilities such as projective geometry, topology geometry, area conservation, length & distance conservation, and volume & mass conservation. And the most contents of the practical course subject are suitable for the childrens’level of cognitive development.

A new policy to determine the waiting position of an idle Automated Guided Vehicle(AGV) is proposed and its performance is compared with the existing waiting position policies. Unlike the existing policies, the queue length in the input buffer is considered in the new policy. As a result, the waiting position based on the new policy depends on the status of the system. The simulation result indicates that the proposed policy reduces the waiting time in both the input and the output buffers significantly, regardless of the number of AGVs in the system. Therefore, the manufacturing lead time can be minimized.

This paper analyzes the switching overvoltage occurred on 345kV underground power cable system as well as combined transmission system using EMTP. Cable length and closing time, preinsertion resistance have effect on switching overvoltage. Therefore, this paper analyzes the switching overvoltage occurred on conductor and sheath with change of those parameters. Specially, the cross bonding position becomes discontinuity point because of the difference between surge impedance of metal sheath and that of lead cable. Thus, the transmission and the reflection of traveling wave complexly occur at this connection point. According to these influences, voltage between sheath and earth as well as voltage between joint boxes rise. Time to crest point of switching overvoltage is longer than lightning overvoltage. Even though the voltage induced by switching surge is smaller than lightning surge, that voltage may have serious effect on the metal sheath. Therefore, this paper also analyses the reduction effect of switching overvoltage when the preinsertion resistance of circuit breaker is considered.

탄성 섬유와 점탄성 기지로 구성된 2차원의 단일방향 복합재료에서 발생하는 계면 응력 특이성을 시간영역 경계요소법을 사용하여 조사하였다. 먼저, 아무런 균열없이 섬유와 기지가 완전하게 결합되어 있는 단일방향 복합재료에 횡방향 인장변형이 작용할때 자유경계면 부근에 나타나는 계면 특이응력들을 조사하였다. 그러한 응력들은 섬유와 기지의 결합분리나 계면 모서리 균열을 야기 시킬수 있다. 다음에, 여러가지 크기의 모서리 균열들에 대한 응력확대계수가 계산되었다.

In this study, we attempted to identify the personality traits that influence one's likelihood to stalk an ex-partner on Facebook. Specifically, we focused on self-concept-related traits, given that the motivations for using social network sites (SNS) are highly associated with the concept of self. These include self-esteem, narcissism, and self-efficacy. To assess these factors, we controlled for extraneous variables while assessing the predictive power of personality traits, such as Facebook usage, length of the relationship, and time since the break-up. The results of a self-administered, web-based survey (N=207) showed that self-esteem, narcissism, and self-efficacy are all traits that can predict the stalking of an ex-partner on Facebook. More specifically, we showed a negative association between self-esteem and one's likelihood to stalk an ex-partner on Facebook, while it showed positive relationships between Facebook stalking and both narcissism and self-efficacy.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine whether poor preoperative nutritional status in elderly patients exhibited a negative influence on postoperative clinical outcomes. Methods: The medical records of 645 elderly patients were examined retrospectively. The patients had undergone major surgery between January 2017 and January 2018. Their nutritional status was measured using the Nutritional Risk Screening 2002. The data were analyzed using the chi-squared test, the Mann-Whitney U test, logistic regression, linear regression, Cox proportional hazards regression, and the Kaplan-Meier analysis. Results: Preoperative malnutrition was found in 73 patients (11.3%). Poor preoperative nutritional status was significantly associated with pressure ulcers, length of hospitalization, discharge to patient care facilities rather than home, and mortality rate at three months. Conclusion: Preoperative malnutrition in elderly patients was associated with negative postoperative clinical outcomes. These results indicate that an effective nutritional program before surgery can lead to a more rapid postoperative recovery.

This paper is to investigate the fire endurance of high performance concrete with the contents of cellulose fiber. According to test results, the use of CL lead to decrease in fluidity. For compressive strength, the use of CL had no influence on compressive strength. For spalling properties, plain concrete showed a severe spalling failure. The use of CL protected from spalling of concrete, but most specimens had scale failure and partial destruction of specimens. This is due to the insufficient fiber length and diameter of CL fiber, which was unable to discharging the internal vapour pressure. For this reason, CL fiber can not be used to protect from spalling oh high performance concrete. Residual strength was observed to $5\~7\%$ of original strength.

The author experienced a failed ase of root resection which qas performed on the abnormal upper right lateral incisor. The patient was 16year old female. Clinically the effected tooth had neither a carious cavity nor periondontal diseases, ut, a fistula was present on the gum tissue near the root apex. The roentogenogram revealed a pathological area around the apex of the tooth. The results of failed apicoectomy lead to following conclusions. 1. The operated tooth was a case of dense invaginatus which had two pulp cavities and two canals seperated along their entire length. 2. It was the main cause of failure that the second pulp cavity and root canal were not obturated.

This paper presents the design and performance results of a pair of 6-kA high-temperature superconducting (HTS)-copper current leads, in which, over a short length at the warm end (e.g.,77K) of each HTS section, comprised of paralleled Bi-2223/Ag-Au tapes, is operated in the current-sharing mode. Because of their reliance on vapor cooling, the leads are applicable only to liquid helium cooled superconducting magnets such as those used in high-energy Physics accelerators and fusion machines. The experimental measurements have demonstrated that key performance data of the new 6-kA HTS-Copper leads agree reasonably well with those expected from design.

Most adjustable-speed drives(ASDs) designed to operate 220[V] induction motors incorporate voltage-source inverters (VSIs), which create motor voltages at high switching frequencies. The motor leads used to connect an ASD to a motor can behave like transmission lines for voltage pulses, which can be amplified (reflected) at the motor terminals. The resulting oscillatory transient, known as the long-lead effect, can stress and consequently degrade the statorinsulation system of a motor. This Brief describes the results of tests to 1) determine the correlation between peak motor voltage and the length of motor leads and 2) determine the correlation between peak motor voltage and the switching frequency of the ASD Insulation failures like this usually are caused by voltage surges. Voltage surges are often the result of switching power circuits, lightning strikes, capacitor discharges and solid-state power devices.
