Hysteretic Behavior Characteristics of R/C Shear Walls Evaluated by Nonlinear Analysis (비선형 해석으로 평가한 전단벽의 이력거동 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Most of tall apartment buildings constructed in our county are wall-type R/C structures composed of hear walls and slabs. It is necessary to evaluate of hysteretic properties of shear walls in wall-type R/C structures which resist lateral loads as well as axial loads. In this study, first to evaluate the wall's hysteretic behavior nonlinear analyses with IDARC 4.0 are performed for eight specimens subjected to horizontal load reversals. As a result of nonlinear analyses of specimens we can obtain three parameters which determined the hysteretic parameters such as stiffness degrading, strength deterioration and inching behavior respectively. With this three parameters, strength and deformation capacity of 5, 10, 20-story shear wall of apartment building is estimated from the results of push-over analysis.

A Case of Neurilemmoma Arising from the Nasal Septum (비중격에 발생한 신경초종 1례)

  • Neurilemmoma is a benign, well-encapsulated neurogenic tumor that arises in cranial, peripheral, or autonomic nerves that have nerve sheaths containing schwann cells. From 16 to 45% of all neurilemmoma cases occur in the head and neck region and only about 4% of those cases are found in the nose and paranasal sinuses, but very rarely found in the nasal septum. Recently, we experienced a case of isolated neurilemmoma which arose from the nasal septum of a 30-year-old female patient who complained of nasal obstruction and postnasal drip. The mass was broadly based on the right anterior portion of the nasal septum and confined to the nasal cavity, displacing the lateral wall of the nasal cavity and middle turbinate, laterally and posteriorly, respectively. The tumor mass was completely excised through transnasal endoscopic surgery under general anesthesia. The final pathological diagnosis viewed under a microscope after H&E and anti S-100 protein stain was a benign neurilemmoma in which Antoni A type and B type both existed. This report presents a case of neurilemmoma which arose from the nasal septum with reviews of the clinicopathologic features.

Pd enhanced Ni-MILC에서 doping 이 결정화 속도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구에서는 Nickel-Metal Induced Lateral crystallization(Ni-MILC)에 depart에 따른 영향을 관찰함에 있어 Nickel에 Palladium Metal을 인접시켜(Pd assisted Ni-MILC) 그 결정화 속도를 향상시키는 방법을 제안하였다. a-Si에 Phosphorous가 doping 되어 있는 경우 Ni-MILC의 성장은 intrinsic에 비해 2.5배 감소되는 반면, Boron을 doping한 경우 Ni-MILC의 성장은 intrinsic의 경우보다 5배 이상의 성장을 보이게 되는데, well type의 Pd을 인접시킨 경우 Pd에 의해 유도된 tensile stress가 각 doping에 따른 성장 속도를 더욱 증대시키는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 이와 같은 현상을 MILC mechanism으로 설명하였다. 이는 Ni-MILC를 이용하여 다결정 실리콘 TFT 제작 시 결정화 속도로 인하여 문제가 되었던 N-type에서의 적용이 가능함과 동시에 contact MILC 등의 방법에도 이용가능성을 의미한다.

  • This study is a model on the Migration Characteristics which developed by using the equations for conservation of mass, momentum and for lateral stability of the streambed, an the model can be examined for magnitude and location of near-bank bed scour as well as rates and direction of meander migration in which sine-Wave type rivers(SWR) of the small sinuosity. It is evident from this study that the transverse bed slope factor B' and transverse mass flux factor $ play significient roles, and show reasonable that the values are B'=4.0 and $=0.4 respectively . It will be a useful guide in planning, design, construction, and development of SWR river-basin projects.

  • From the development of residential flat plate system, continuously bended shear reinforcements were applied in the joint performance test. The testing parameters are shear reinforcement types, which are no reinforcement, studrail reinforcement, and rebar type reinforcement. To verify the lateral resisting capacity, cyclic load is applied in the constant vertical load condition. From the test results, the resisting capacity of developed shear reinforcement system has a good performance behavior in the story drift ratio.

  • This paper deals with characteristic analysis of Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor(PMLSM) and Linear Reluctance Motor(LRM). PMLSM and LRM can be classified into the short primary type and the short secondary type according to their structural features. In this paper, select the short secondary. Thrust and lateral force are evaluated by using Finite Element Method(FEM) and experiments. These characteristics of PMLSM and LRM are compared with each other.

Characteristics of Nickel-Diamond Composite Powders by Electroless Nickel Plating (무전해 니켈 도금법으로 제조된 니켈-다이아몬드 복합분체의 특성)

  • Ni-diamond composite powders with nickel layer of round-top type on the surface of synthetic diamond (140/170 mesh) were prepared by the electroless plating method (EN) with semi-batch reactor. The effects of nickel concentration, feeding rates of reductant, temperature, reaction time and stirring speeds on the weight percentage and morphology of deposited Ni, mean particle size and specific surface area of the composite powders were investigated by Atomic Adsortion Spectrometer, SEM-EDX, PSA and BET. It was found that nucleated Ni-P islands, acted as catalytic sites for further deposition and grown into these relatively thick layers with nodule-type on the surface of diamond by a lateral growth mechanism. The weight percentage of Ni in the composite powder increased with reaction time, feeding rate of reductant and temperature, but decreased with stirring speed. The weight percentage of Ni in Ni-diamond composite powder was 55% at 150 min., 200 rpm and 7$0^{\circ}C$ .

  • Novel structure ultrasonic motors which have cross type stator were designed and fabricated. Driving characteristics of the motors were analyzed and measured by changing the materials of the stator. This ultrasonic motor has stator with hollowed cross bar and the stator rotate the rotor using elliptical displacement of the inside tips. This motion is generated by lateral vibration mode of cross bars. This stator was analyzed by finite element analysis and the ultrasonic motors were made by analyzed results. The larger displacements were obtained, when the Young's modulus was increased and the Poisson's ratio was decreased. The fabricated one has high speed in large Poisson's ratio and Young's modulus. And the torque was increased in high Young's modulus.

Reverse annealing of boron doped polycrystalline silicon

  • Non-mass analyzed ion shower doping (ISD) technique with a bucket-type ion source or mass-analyzed ion implantation with a ribbon beam-type has been used for source/drain doping, for LDD (lightly-doped-drain) formation, and for channel doping in fabrication of low-temperature poly-Si thin-film transistors (LTPS-TFT's). We reported an abnormal activation behavior in boron doped poly-Si where reverse annealing, the loss of electrically active boron concentration, was found in the temperature ranges between $400^{\circ}C$ and $650^{\circ}C$ using isochronal furnace annealing. We also reported reverse annealing behavior of sequential lateral solidification (SLS) poly-Si using isothermal rapid thermal annealing (RTA). We report here the importance of implantation conditions on the dopant activation. Through-doping conditions with higher energies and doses were intentionally chosen to understand reverse annealing behavior. We observed that the implantation condition plays a critical role on dopant activation. We found a certain implantation condition with which the sheet resistance is not changed at all upon activation annealing.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an air spring mount that has high damping characteristic. The new type air spring mount has a polyurethane core in the center. By adding the core, the air spring mount shows excellent damping effect and good resistance to lateral force. This study includes both the analytical study and the experimental study of the new type air spring mount.
