들기 작업시 중량물의 비대칭 무게중심 및 상체 옆으로 기울임에 따른 허리근육의 Peak EMG 진폭 비교 (Comparison of Peak EMG Amplitude on Low Back Muscles according to Asymmetric Load Center of Gravity and Trunk Lateral Bending while Lifting)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중량물 들기 작업시 비대칭 무게중심과 상체 옆으로 기울임 여부가 어떻게 L5/S1 주변 허리 근육의 Peak EMG 진폭에 영향을 미치는지를 알아보는 것이다. 요통을 포함한 근골격계질환은 무겁지 않은 물체의 지속적인 반복 취급뿐만 아니라, 일회성의 커다란 부하도 신체 조직의 부담으로 작용하여 발생할 수 있다. 11명의 20대 대학생 남성은 15.8kg의 물체를 들어올리는 Task를 3회 실행하였다. 이 때 대칭 무게중심의 물체를 상체를 기울이지 않고 들어 올리는 경우, 비대칭 무게중심의 물체를 상체를 기울이지 않고 들어 올리는 조건, 그리고 비대칭 무게중심의 물체를 상체를 기울여서 들어 올리는 경우에 따라 6개의 L5/S1 주변의 근육들로부터 Peak EMG 진폭이 수집되어 분석되었다. 결과는 비대칭 무게중심을 지닌 물체 취급시 무게중심에서 먼 쪽의 허리 근육에서 Peak EMG 진폭이 발생하고, 그 진폭의 크기는 대칭 무게중심 물체를 취급하는 경우보다 크게 나타났다. 또한, 비대칭 무게중심의 물체를 취급할 경우 물체나 상체를 물체의 무게중심 방향으로 기울이는 것은 기울이지 않을 때보다 대측성 등근육에서 Peak EMG 진폭 증가시켰다. 이러한 연구 결과는 비대칭 무게중심의 중량물을 들어 올리는 작업에서 요통 발생을 예방하기 위한 행정적인 조치로써 가능하면 상체를 전두면 기준으로 기울이지 않는 작업자 자세 조언이 필요함을 말해준다.

  • 본 논문에서는 추력비정렬 및 발사체 횡방향 무게중심 오프셋에 의한 유도 성능 영향성에 대해서 다루었다. 민감도 분석 방법과 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션 방법을 적용하여 추력비정렬 및 횡방향 무게중심 오프셋에 의한 궤도 투입 오차 변화를 계산함으로써 영향성을 분석하였다. 추력비정렬 및 횡방향 무게중심 오프셋에 의한 영향을 보상하기 위한 방안으로서 적분제어기를 추가하는 방법과 Saturn-V 발사체의 비정렬 보상 알고리듬인 SMC 방법의 적용을 고려해 보았고 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 통해 효용성을 평가하였다.

Foundation Types of Fixed Offshore Wind Turbine

  • Offshore wind turbines are supported by various foundations, each with its considerations in design and construction. Gravity, monopile, and suction bucket foundations encounter geotechnical issues, while jacket and tripod foundations face fatigue problems. Considering this, a gravity foundation based on a steel skirt was developed, and a monopile foundation was analyzed for Pile-Soil Interaction using the p-y curve and 3D finite element method (3D FEM). In addition, for suction bucket foundations, the effects of lateral and vertical loads were analyzed using 3D FEM and centrifuge tests. Fatigue analysis for jacket and tripod foundations was conducted using a hotspot stress approach. Some hybrid foundations and shape optimization techniques that change the shape to complement the problems of each foundation described above were assessed. Hybrid foundations could increase lateral resistance compared to existing foundations because of the combined appendages, and optimization techniques could reduce costs by maximizing the efficiency of the structure or by reducing costs and weight. This paper presents the characteristics and research directions of the foundation through various studies on the foundation. In addition, the optimal design method is presented by explaining the problems of the foundation and suggesting ways to supplement them.

Analysis of Static Stability by Modified Mathematical Model for Asymmetric Tractor-Harvester System: Changes in Lateral Overturning Angle by Movement of Center of Gravity Coordinates

  • Purpose: Purpose: The usability of a mathematical model modified for analysis of the static stability of an asymmetric tractor-harvester system was investigated. Method: The modified asynchronous mathematical model was validated through empirical experiments, and the effects of movements of the center of gravity (CG) coordinates on the stability against lateral overturning were analyzed through simulations. Results: Changes in the lateral overturning angle of the system were investigated when the coordinates of the CG of the system were moved within the variable range. The errors between simulation results and empirical experiments were compared, and the results were -4.7% at the left side overturning and -0.1% at the right side overturning. The asymmetric system was characterized in such a way that the right side overturning had an increase in overturning angle in the (+) variable range, while it had a decrease in overturning angle in the (-) variable range. In addition, the left side overturning showed an opposite result to that of the right side. At the declination angle (296<${\gamma}$<76), the right side overturning had an increase in the maximum overturning angle of 3.6%, in the minimum overturning angle of 20.3%, and in the mean overturning angle of 15.9%. Furthermore, at the declination angle (284<${\gamma}$<64), the left side overturning had a decrease in the maximum overturning angle of 29.2%, in the minimum overturning angle of 44%, and in a mean overturning angle of 39.7%. Conclusion: The modified mathematical model was useful for predicting the overturning angle of the asymmetric tractor-harvester system, and verified that a movement of the CG coordinates had a critical effect on its stability. In particular, the left side overturning was the most vulnerable to stability, regardless of the direction of declination angle.

Treatment for ophthalmic paralysis: functional and aesthetic optimization

  • Facial nerve palsy has an effect on a person's well-being functionally and psychologically. Therefore, comprehensive patient management is essential. One of the most common uncomfortable and potentially debilitating features is associated with the incapacity for eye closure. Restoration of eye closure is a key consideration during the surgical management of facial palsy. In this article, we introduce simple surgical methods-which are relatively easy to learn and involve the upper and lower eyelids-for achieving eye closure. Correcting upper eyelid function involves facilitating the component of eye closure that is in the same direction as gravity and is, therefore, less complicated and favorable outcomes than correction of lower lid. Aesthetic aspects should be considered to correct the asymmetry caused by facial palsy. Lower eyelid function involves a force that opposes gravity for eye closure, which makes correction of lower eyelid ectropion more challenging than surgery for the upper eyelid, particularly in terms of effecting a sustained correction. Initially, proper ophthalmic evaluation is required, including identifying the chronicity and severity of ectropion. Also, it is important to determine whether or not lateral canthoplasty is necessary. The lateral tarsal strip procedure is commonly used for lower lid correction. However, effective lower lid correction can be achieved with better cosmesis when extensive supporting techniques are applied, including those involving cheek tissue.

회전타원체 보빈 형상의 거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Behavior of Spheroid Configuration Bobbin)

  • The initial trajectory of a spheroid configuration bobbin for precision guidance has been investigated by analyzing its aerodynamic load and six-degree-of-freedom motion. The effects of changes in the spheroidal head configuration, flow angle and lateral center-of-gravity offset are numerically studied using the commercial software "FLUENT". A wind tunnel test is also conducted to validate the numerical scheme and to examine effect of the Reynolds number on the flow around the bobbin. It is shown that the size of the separation bubble formed on the surface decreases significantly when the Reynolds number is varied between 110,000 and 140,000. At a zero flow angle, an oblate spheroidal head shows relatively moderate rotation while a prolate spheroidal head shows rapid rotation. The bobbin with a spherical head shape has little effect on the flow direction; however, the oblate bobbin is sensitive to the flow angle. The roll motion of the bobbin is greatly influenced by the lateral center-of-gravity offset and maximum dispersion is observed at half of the radius.

  • This paper presents the mechanism to increase lateral stability of a mobile robot using an energy stability margin theory. Previous measure of stability used in a wheeled mobile robot has been based on a static stability margin. However, the static stability margin is independent of the height of the robot and does not provide sufficient measure for the amount of stability when the terrain is not a horizontal plane. In this work, the energy stability margin theory, which is dependent on robot's height is used to develop a 2 dof mechanism to increase lateral stability. This proposed mechanism shifts the center of gravity of the robot to the point where the energy stability margin is maximized and overall stability of the robot equipped with this mechanism will be increased.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study found change that caused by various form and weight of bag. So we investigated how these things change the shoulder altitude and space between external acoustic pore and lateral malleolus and also plantar pressure. Method : We measured two different way for this study. One was backpack with 5, 10kg and another one was shoulder pack with same weight. Each trial was 10 seconds in duration with static stance posture. With these experiments, we checked space between plantar pressure, shoulder altitude, external acoustic pore and lateral malleolus with EMED system and GPS. We analyzed these results with PASW(SPSS) statistics 18.0. Result : In conclusion, there were no significantly differences in shoulder altitude by weight of pack, but average of plantar pressure and space between external acoustic pore and lateral malleolus was increased.

차량동특성 및 도로경사도 추정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Vehicle Dynamics and Road Slope Estimation)

  • Advanced driving assist system can support safety of driver and passengers which may require vehicle dynamics states as well as road geometry. It is essential to have in real-time estimation of related variables and parameters. Among the road geometry parameters, road slope angle which can not be measured is essential parameter in pose estimation, adaptive cruise control and others on sag road. In this paper, Kalman filter based method for the estimation of the vehicle dynamics and road slope angle using a nonlinear vehicle model is proposed. It uses a combination of Kalman filter as Cascade Extended Kalman Filter. CEKF uses measured vehicle states such as yaw rate, longitudinal/lateral acceleration and velocity. Unknown vehicle parameters such as center of gravity and inertia are obtained by 2 D.O.F lateral model and experimentally. Simulation and Experimental tests conducted with commercialized vehicle dynamics model and real-car.

수평가진 시스템의 열 특성 및 모멘트 성능 검증 (Verification of Thermal Characteristics and Overturning Moment for Lateral Vibration System)

  • 발사환경 시 작용하는 진동 환경을 지상에서 구현하기 위해 가진 시스템을 이용하고 있다. 진동시험은 수직, 수평 방향에 대해 수행되며, 수평방향 시험의 경우 슬립테이블 시스템과 연계하여 시험을 수행하게 된다. 최근 개발 중인 대형 위성의 경우, 위성과 진동 시험기 사이의 연결 구조물의 하중 및 동적 설계 요구 조건을 만족하기 위하여 수평가진 시스템과 열 특성이 매우 다른 스틸 소재를 이용하여 제작하였다. 본 연구에서는 수평가진 시스템과 열팽창 계수가 다른 소재를 이용하는 대형 구조물의 열 특성 및 모멘트 검증 과정과 발생한 문제점을 개선하고자 적용한 안을 제시하고자 한다.
