Recently, an optical disc system has been proposed using blue laser diode, high NA objective lens and groove only disc structure. A new method is needed to readout CD and DVD in this Blu-Ray Disc Recorder. In order to readout CD and DVD in Blu-Ray Disc Recorder, we adopted dual-lenses actuator in consideration of optical utilization efficiency, optical performance and insurance of sufficient W.D(working distance). This dual-lenses actuator has two objectives in radial direction, one is for CD/DVD and the other is for BD. We had to solve the induced problems of collision between disc and lens, DC tilt increase, AC tilt increase, 2nd resonance deterioration and AC sensitivity drop caused by disposing two lenses in an actuator. Also we developed high response twin- objective actuator with radial tilt function to apply high-speed BD Recorder or BD Player. Consequently we presented that two kinds of dual-lenses actuators for BD Recorder have been possessed good performance in 3 axis directions. And we measured eye patterns of CD, DVD and BD by using one BD optical pick-up with dual-lenses actuator.
We propose a simple nondestructive method to obtain refractive-index profiles of a graded-index (GRIN) light-focusing rod by means of a diffraction grating. In our proposed method, a laser beam is illuminated through a diffraction grating perpendicular to the axis of the GRIN lens and the separation between the zeroth and first-order diffraction peaks is measured and analyzed. The results demonstrate that the refractive-index profiles of commercially available GRIN lenses can be successfully reconstructed.

Product development is consisting by trend that accommodate almost function digital cam in camera phone that can speak of Mobile appliance, and competition about number of elemental area of image sensor is consisting for market prior occupation between these. Propose in this research and small size camera phone self-focusing adjustment actuator that do city manufacture is similar with general storehouse pickup actuator drive way, but selected in cylindrical to reduce space that lens holder occupies because there is restriction loading of lens and space enemy. Target number of research established that execute drive displacement more than $600{\mu}m$ in 2.75V that is house voltage that is used in Mobile device that is general. Also, described about maximum transfer displacement characteristic, displacement response characteristic, hysteresis, response characteristic, smallest transfer step characteristic, actuator's drive characteristic that is manufactured to examination item of maximum consumption electric power by special quality estimation system that apply laser displacement sensor that produce itself to evaluate city manufactured actuator's special quality.
The advent of a fourth industrial revolution, built on advances in digital technology, has coincided with studies using various unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) being performed worldwide. However, the accuracy of different sensors and their suitability for particular research studies are factors that need to be carefully evaluated. In this study, we evaluated UAV photogrammetry using smart technology. To assess the performance of digital photogrammetry, the accuracy of common procedures for generating orthomosaic images and digital surface models (DSMs) using terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) techniques was measured. Two different type of non-surveying camera(Smartphone camera, fisheye camera) were attached to UAV platform. For fisheye camera, lens distortion was corrected by considering characteristics of lens. Accuracy of orthoimage and DSM generated were comparatively analyzed using aerial and TLS data. Accuracy comparison analysis proceeded as follows. First, we used Ortho mosaic image to compare the check point with a certain area. In addition, vertical errors of camera DSM were compared and analyzed based on TLS. In this study, we propose and evaluate the feasibility of UAV photogrammetry which can acquire 3 - D spatial information at low cost in a construction site.
Background and Objectives To evaluate the rotational stability of AcrySof toric intraocular lenses (IOL) by considering lapse of postoperative time and influence of capsulorhexis contraction. Materials and Methods A prospective, masked, single center study was conducted on 19 patients who had undergone microcoaxial cataract surgery and AcrySof toric IOL implantation. Slit-lamp retroillumination photographs of anterior segments were obtained from all patients after 1 week, 1 month and 3 months post-surgery. The degree of alteration of the postoperative IOL axis alignment and the amount of anterior capsular shrinkage were analyzed using Adobe Photoshop software. Results The mean degree of toric IOL axis misalignment was 2.18 (±20.2) degrees at 3 months follow-up. Quadrant analysis of the capsulorhexis aperture area at 1 week and 1 month post-operative, showed counterclockwise IOL rotation when the capsule contraction was dominant in the haptic part as well as clockwise rotation when dominant in the non-haptic part (p = 0.015). Conclusion The direction and degree of AcrySof toric IOL rotation differed throughout the follow-up period. Since most misalignments were found on the first post-operative day, physicians should try to minimize peri-operative risk factors that influence IOL rotation. There was also a correlation between the part of anterior capsule contraction and the direction of IOL rotation.
We measure a beam diameter of scan and sub-scan direction of LSD (Laser Scanning Urnt) which uses $fheta$ lens produced by injecLion molding method as a scanning lens. While the measured beam diameter in scan direction, which is $62muextrm{m}$ to $68\mu\textrm{m}$, shows similar size comparing to the design beam diameter, the sub-scan beam diameter shows sIzable beam diameter deviation as much as 37 11m ranging from $78\mu\textrm{m}$ to $115\mu\textrm{m}$. Injection molding lens has the surface figure error due to the shrinkage III the cooling time and the internal distortion (birefringence) due to the uneven cooling conditIOn so that these bring about wavefront aberration (i.e., the enlargement of beam size), and are eventually expre~sed as the deterioration of the pdnting image. In this paper. we first measure and analyze beam diameter, birefringence (polanzation ratio), and asphedcal figure error of mIens in order to know the principle cause of the beam diameter deviation in sub-scan directIOn. And Lhen. through the analysis of a designed depth of focus and a calculated field curvature (imaging position of the optical axis directIon) using the above figure elTor data, we know Lhat the birefringence IS the main factor of sizable beam diameter deVIation in sub-scan direction. ction.
Low-aberration holographic scanners that eliminate the need for lenses and mirrors promise to greatly reduce the cost of laser printers and image scanners. In this study, a holographic optical element that can simultaneously scan and focus a laser beam is designed with analytic ray tracing method. An analytic and experimental work is conducted in which we investigated the hologram structure and hologon configuration for linear aberration-free scanning. For a prototype scanner, a He-Ne laser is used to manufacture and reconstruct the hologram, and the measured bow is about $\pm$133$\mu\textrm{m}$ and spot size(half-intensity beamwidth) in under 100$\mu\textrm{m}$ for a 300 mm scan length without using a correcting lens or mirror. The diffraction efficiency is about 55$\pm$5%, which is acceptably flat. The experimentally measured results agrees with the computed values. From this fact, we can conclude that the computed results using ray tracing method are practical and useful values, and have a potential for use in high resolution laser printers.

Wave drag reduction due to the repetitive laser induced energy deposition over a flat-nosed cylinder is experimentally conducted in this study. Irradiated laser pulses are focused by a convex lens installed in side of the in-draft wind tunnel of Mach 1.94. The maximum frequency of the energy deposition is limited up to 80. Time-averaged drag force is measured using a low friction piston which was backed by a load cell in a cavity as a controlled pressure. Stagnation pressure history, which is measured at the nose of the model, is synchronized with corresponding sequential schlieren images. With cylinder model, amount of drag reduction is linearly increased with input laser power. The power gain only depends upon the pulse energy. A drag reduction about 21% which corresponds to power gain of energy deposition of approximately 10 was obtained.

Purpose: We have analyzed the transmittance distribution of various ocular lenses using local transmittance microscope to investigate the optical homogeneity of the lens. Methods: The local transmittance of the laser which is focused on the surface of the spectacle lens was measured by using the photo-detector, lock-in amplifier and motorized-stage. 25 multi-coated lenses with non-tinted of 5 groups and 45 multicoated lenses with tinted of 9 groups were analyzed as a sample respectively. Results: Average and deviation of local transmittance for nontinted lenses were measured almost uniformly with various refractive index and coating. However, deviation of transmittance of for tinted lenses was analyzed as about 3.7 times larger than that of non-tinted lenses. Inhomogeneity of local transmittance of for tinted lenses was also analyzed as about 3.1 times larger than that of non-tinted lenses. Conclusions: We could analyze that standard deviation of transmittance and inhomogeneity of local transmittance of for tinted lenses is larger than that of non-tinted lenses using the local transmittance microscope. These analysis using local transmittance microscope can be utilized as a way to evaluate lens performance and improve optical homogeneity.

In optical pick-up, optical components such as objective lens, collimator, mirror, laser diode and photo diode are mounted on the pick-up base. These components must keep their original position during operation for proper transmittance of information from laser diode to optical disk and back to photo diode. However, micro thermal deformation of pick-up base which is induced by thermal environment during operation can deteriorate the performance of optical pick-up. Therefore, it is important to measure and analyze the thermal deformation behavior of pick-up base under thermal environment. In the present study, a measurement system using holographic interferometry was designed to measure micro thermal deformation of pick up base. The measurement system was verified by using the deformation of cantilever with prescribed motion actuated by PZT with 1 nm resolution. Interferometric measurement was compared quantitatively with that induced by PZT actuator. Finally, micro thermal deformation of pick-up base under actual thermal environment was measured using the present holographic interferometry and the results were analysed.
