In this study, we present the results of orbit determination (OD) using satellite laser ranging (SLR) data for the Science and Technology Satellite (STSAT)-2C by a short-arc analysis. For SLR data processing, the NASA/GSFC GEODYN II software with one year (2013/04 - 2014/04) of normal point observations is used. As there is only an extremely small quantity of SLR observations of STSAT-2C and they are sparsely distribution, the selection of the arc length and the estimation intervals for the atmospheric drag coefficients and the empirical acceleration parameters was made on an arc-to-arc basis. For orbit quality assessment, the post-fit residuals of each short-arc and orbit overlaps of arcs are investigated. The OD results show that the weighted root mean square post-fit residuals of short-arcs are less than 1 cm, and the average 1-day orbit overlaps are superior to 50/600/900 m for the radial/cross-track/along-track components. These results demonstrate that OD for STSAT-2C was successfully achieved with cm-level range precision. However its orbit quality did not reach the same level due to the availability of few and sparse measurement conditions. From a mission analysis viewpoint, obtaining the results of OD for STSAT-2C is significant for generating enhanced orbit predictions for more frequent tracking.
Tip position control of a flexible cantilever is difficult due to the non-minimum phase dynamics that result from the finite propagating speed of a mechanical wave along the cantilever. In this paper, we propose a method for the tip position control using a light and cheap accelerometer that does not bring any significant change to the dynamics of the cantilever system. The linear system identification model of the flexible cantilever is obtained with measurements by a laser displacement sensor. A Kalman estimator is designed with this model and calculates the estimated tip position with the acceleration data of the accelerometer that is attached on the tip of the cantilever. To verify reliability of the estimator, the estimated tip position is used to the feedback control system that uses a fuzzy logic controller. The control results are compared with those of the fuzzy control system where the real tip position is measured by a laser displacement sensor. Also, the performance of the estimator with the accelerometer is presented and discussed.
The inertial sensor errors in SDINS(Strapdown Inertial Navigation System) can be compensated by rotating the inertial measurement unit and it is called RINS(Rotational Inertial Navigation System). It is assumed that the error of the inertial sensor in RINS is a static bias. However, the error of the inertial sensor actually developed and produced is not a static bias due to the change of the temperature applied to the sensor and the influence of the earth's gravity acceleration. In this paper, we propose a six-position gyro bias calibration method to evaluate the gyro bias required for RINS and present the test results of applying it to a ring laser gyro inertial navigation system under development.
In this paper, we will explain about the unmanned vehicle control and modeling for combined obstacle avoidance and lane tracking. First, obstacle avoidance is considered as one of the important technologies in the unmanned vehicle. It is consisted by two parts: the first part includes the longitudinal control system for the acceleration and deceleration and the second part is the lateral control system for the steering control. Each system uses to the obstacle avoidance during the vehicle moving. Therefore, we propose the method of vehicle control, modeling and obstacle avoidance. Second, we describe a method of lane tracking by means of vision system. It is important in the unmanned vehicle and mobile robot system. In this paper, we deal with lane tracking and image processing method and it is including lane detection method, image processing algorithm and filtering method.

Ion shower doping using a source gas of $PH_3/H_2$ was conducted on excimer-laser-annealed (ELA) Poly-Si. As-implanted damage is accumulated more and more with the increase of an acceleration voltage and a doping time. In this study we found that dopant-activation is relatively a rapid kinetic-process while damage-recovery is not.
Recently, it has been reported that the Insulating films deposited by PECVD show some degradation under somewhat high electric field. In this paper, we Introduce silicon nitride films deposited by LCVD, and evaluate the breakdown and wear-out of these films by TDDB test. Further, failure times against electric field are examined and acceleration factors $\gamma$ are obtained for each case. As a result, it is shown that the breakdown and wear-out limitation for these films is improved.
From the dispersion relation of an electromagnetic (EM) wave propagating through plasmas, w$\^$2/ = w$\sub$p/$\^$2/+c$\^$2/k$\^$2/ the phase velocity (w/k) of the wave is large at high density where w$\sub$p/ is large, and small at low density Therefore, when a laser pulse is located on a downward density gradient of a plasma wave, the phase velocity of the back of the pulse becomes faster than that of the front of the pulse and the pulse wavelength decreases. Obstacle avoidance is considered as one of the key technologies in an unmanned vehicle system. In this paper, we propose a method of obstacle avoidance, which can be expressed as vehicle control, modeling, and sensor experiments. Obstacle avoidance consists of two parts: one longitudinal control system for acceleration; and deceleration and a lateral control system for steering control. Each system is used for unmanned vehicle control, which notes its location, recognizes obstacles surrounding it, and makes a decision how fast to proceed according to circumstances. During the operation, the control strategy of the vehicle can detect obstacles and perform obstacle avoidance on the road, which involves vehicle velocity. The method proposed for vehicle control, modeling, and obstacle avoidance has been confirmed through vehicle tests.

The tip of the flexible robot arm has to be controlled by the active control reducing vibration because it has residual vibration after getting to desired position. This paper presents an end-point position control of a 1-link flexible robot arm having tip mass by the PID control algorithm. The system is composed of a flexible arm with tip mass, dc servomotor and ballscrew mechanism under translational motion. The feedback signal composed of the tip displacement measured by laser sensor, estimated velocity and acceleration is used to control the base motion. Theoretical results are obtained by applying the Laplace transform and the numerical inversion method to the governing equations. After the flexible robot arm reaches to. the desired position, the residual vibration is controlled by the PID algorithm. This paper gives the simulation and experimental results of end-point responses according to changing tip-mass and arm length. And this algorithm shows good effects of reducing the residual vibration. Approximately, theoretical response is in good agreement with experimental one.
As the accuracy of manufactured goods needed high-accuracy processing has made the efficiency of NC and measurment technology develop, the innovation of machine tools has influence the development of the semi-conductor and optical technology. We can mention that a traction role of the acceleration for the development like that depends on the development of the measurement technics - Stylus instrument method, STM, SEM, Laser interferometer method - which are used for measuring the movement accuracy of machine tools. The movement error factors in movement accuracy are expressed as yaw, roll, and pitch etc. Machining center has 21 movement error factors including of 3 axies joint errors because that has 3 axies and has been measured as the standard of the unloaded condition until now inspite of getting static, dynamic, and servo-gain errors in the case of expending the error range. Therefore, this study tries to measure position accuracy according to loading on the X-Y table of the machining center.
