레이저를 이용한 탄소섬유강화 복합재료의 비파괴평가 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Nondestructive Technique Using Laser Technique for Evaluation of Carbon fiber Reinforced Plastic)

  • 섬유강화복합재료의 품질향상을 위하여 제조공정중에 발생하게 되는 층간 분리 및 기공 등의 결함이 온라인상에서 검출되어야 한다. 일반적으로 섬유강화복합재료의 비파괴 평가에 있어서 초음파 평가기법이 널리 이용되고 있으나 기존의 초음파 평가 기법은 초음파 전파를 위하여 접촉이 이루어져야 하는 단점이 있다. 따라서 기존의 초음파 평가기법은 비접촉의 기법이 아니므로 제조공정중에 적용할 수 없다. 비접촉식의 초음파 평가 기법을 구현하기 위하여 광학적 기법의 레이저 기법이 적용되었으며 본 연구에서는 레이저 유도 초음파 발생 기법과 레이저 간섭계를 이용한 수신기법이 섬유강화 복합재료 판재에서 적용되었다. 레이저 유도 초음파는 펄스레이저에 의한 복합재료 표면의 순간적인 가열과 이에 의한 열변형으로 발생되어 전파되며 본 연구에 가속도계, AE센서 등 주파수 범위가 다른 수신센서를 이용하여 전파방향 변화에 따른 유도 초음파를 수신하였으며 수신된 유도초음파의 전파방향에 따른 전파속도를 비교하였다. 또한 비접촉 수신기법으로 레이저 간섭계를 이용하여 탄소섬유강화 복합재료에서의 초음파를 수신하고 그 주파수 특성을 분석하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 평면스피이커의 진동판의 진동을 이론적으로 해석하고 시간 평균 홀러그래픽 간섭계로 조사하여, 지지대의 지지위치 선정과 피스톤 진동 모우드를 넓히는 방법을 제시하고, 비틀림이 적은 진동판을 설계하는 방법을 제시하여 평면스피 이커의 성능을 항상시키는 데 있다.

  • A new signal processing system for real time displacement measurement in sinusoidal phase modulating interferometry is described. Although sinusoidal phase modulating interferometry is effective in measuring with high accuracy the displacement of an object, conventional signal processing takes a long time. In this method, detection of the object's displacement is easily achieved by sampling the interference signal at those times that satisfy certain conditions and by processing the sampled signals with electric circuits in real time. The delay time of this signal processing system is < 45${\mu}$s. Specially in this paper we describe all electronic circuit and optical system design

  • Moire interferometry using a diffraction grating and a laser is a powerful technique for analizing small deformation of a specimen. In the method, the x and y-directional fringe patterns are obtained by using the x and y-directional sets of two beams. If the both sets of two beams are simultaneously incident to the specimen, the x and y-directional fringe patterns are super imposed. In this case, it is difficult to separate each directional fringe pattern. Therefore each fringe pattern has been separately recorded by selecting each set of two beams. In order to analyze a two-dimensional strain changing with time, Moire interferometry using the two-dimensional fourier transform method is proposed and the x and y-directional fringes are separated. By this method, the thermal deformation of a glass plate is analyzed.

  • In-plane ESPI(Electronic Speckle Patten Interferometry)was devised to measure in~plane defamation and rotation of a specimen with laser in this study. The conventional measuring methods of surface deformations such as the strain gauge have many demerits because they are contact and point-to-point measuring ones. But that ESPI is noncontact, nondestructive and whole field measuring method can overcome previous disadvantages. We used ESPI which is sensitive to in-plane displacement for measuring in-plane deformations of a disk. First of all, the system calibration was done due to an in-plane rotation before getting deformations of a disk. Finally we showed good agreement between theexperiment results and those of the FEA(Finit Element Analysis).

보강된 실린더의 진동특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Vibration Characteristics of Stiffened Cylinder)

  • The structural characteristics of the stiffened double cylinder was investigated through experiment and analysis. The outside cylinder was excited with piezoelectric actuator and the mode shape of the cylinder with stiffening T frame was obtained by using holographic interferometry. Finite element method was applied for further modal investigation of the stiffened cylinder. The experimental results showed that the mode shape of cylinder was dependent on the exciting frequencies and the T frame showed salient effect of damping at most of the resonent frequencies. In particular frequencies, the T frame worked as a transmitter. FFM showed similar results with the experiments. This paper showed that the laser-based method such as holographic interferometry is well suited for investigation of the whole-field mode shapes and FEM has good performance to estimate the medal characteristics of the mechanical structure.

실내공기 제어를 위한 사각공간내의 혼합대류에 관한 연구 (The study of mixed convection in a rectangular enclosure for indoor air control)

  • The numerical and experimental studies on the mixed convection of a rectangular enclosure for indoor air control has been studied numerically using the finite volume method and experimentally with holographic interferometry and Laser apparatus. The parameters studied here are Pr= 0.71, $30{\leq}Re{\leq}600$, $700{\leq}Gr{\leq}100000$ and the positions of an outlet. The results show streamlines, isothrems, velocity distributions and photograph of holographic interferometry and streamlines. It is found that the minimum cell occurs at Re=100, Gr=10000. The mean Nusselt numbers can be expressed by the correlation equation $Nu=C{\cdot}Gr^a$ $Re^b.$ The comparison of numerical and experimental results shows a good agreement.

  • More accurate and fast inspection method for mechanical parts and structure is required to guarantee the safety. Conventional methods using compliance method, eddy current method, ultrasonic wave, acoustic emission for non-destructive testing in mechanical parts and structure have been performed as the method of contact with objects to be inspected. With this reason these methods have been taken relatively much time, money, and manpower. In this study, in order to overcome these shortcomings, we used In-plane Electronic Speckle pattern Interferometry(In-plane ESPI) that was full-field measurement and noncontact method. We detected the cracks of the specimen at a real time and measured the length of the crack by using In-place ESPI system. Finally, we compared this results with conventional microscope method.

  • The total relaxed stress in annealing and the thermal strain/stress were obtained from the identification of the residual stress-free state using electronic speckle pattern interferometry (ESPI). The residual stress fields in case of both single and film / substrate systems were modeled using the thermo-elastic theory and the relationship between relaxed stresses and displacements. We mapped the surface residual stress fields on the indented bulk Cu and the 0.5 $\mu\textrm{m}$ Au film by ESPI. In indented Cu, the normal and shear residual stress are distributed over -1.7 GPa to 700 MPa and -800 GPa to 600 MPa respectively around the indented point and in deposited Au film on Si wafer, the tensile residual stress is uniformly distributed on the Au film from 500 MPa to 800 MPa.
