사용자 질의 의미 해석을 위한 온톨로지 지식베이스 스키마 구축 (Ontology Knowledge Base Scheme for User Query Semantic Interpretation)

  • 최근의 검색 형태는 키워드 기반 검색에서 보다 더 정확한 결과를 제공하기 위한 시맨틱 검색 방법으로 변화하고 있다. 하지만 일반 사용자들은 여전히 기존의 키워드 기반 검색에 익숙하기 때문에 시맨틱 검색을 위한 형식화된 구조적 질의어를 구성할 수 없다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 사용자들의 키워드 해석을 위한 온톨로지 지식 베이스 스키마를 제안한다. 제안된 스키마는 서술 논리 추론을 위해 OWL-DL을 기반으로 설계되었으며 최소한의 관계 정의와 추론 규칙 언어인 SWRL(Semantic Web Rule Language)으로 추론함으로써 보다 풍부한 개체 관계의 표현을 제공한다. 마지막으로 논문에서 제안한 사용자 질의 의미 해석 기법의 검증을 위해 키워드 유사도 실험 결과를 설명한다.

여성 결혼이민자의 주관적 건강상태, 건강행위 실천, 결혼만족도 (Perceived Health Status, Health Behavior, and Marital Satisfaction in Married Immigrant Women)

  • Purpose: The study examined the correlation of perceived health status, health behaviors, and marital satisfaction in women who have immigrated to Korea through marriage. Method: Data were collected via questionnaires that investigated health status, health behaviors, Korean language ability, characteristics of couple, and marital satisfaction. Three hundred four subjects were selected for a 4-month period. The data of 300 subjects were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and correlation, after four questionnaires were excluded due to incomplete data. Results: Perceived health status varied significantly according to nationality, existence of religion, and period of immigration. The scores for perceived health status among women who had lived in Korea for more than 5 years were lower than for women who had resided for 1-3 years. There was a significant positive correlation between health status and health behavior, and health status and Korean language ability, but a negative correlation between health status and age. Conclusion: A program for the improvement of health in immigrant women should include communication assistance as their mother language and should provide periodic health screening.

Public Health Center Service Experiences and Needs among Immigrant Women in South Korea

  • Purpose: To support implementation of comprehensive, person-centered healthcare, this study aimed to explore immigrant women's public health center (PHC) service experiences and needs while considering Photovoice's feasibility for this purpose. Methods: This qualitative study included 15 marriage-based immigrant women. Participants were recruited from churches and multicultural family support centers using purposive and snowball sampling. Data were collected through four focus group interviews and were subjected to inductive content analysis. Results: Five categories of experiences were identified: language barriers, hectic environment, affordable and practical primary healthcare, feeling ignored and discriminated against, and feeling frustrated. In addition, five categories of needs were identified: language assistance services, ease of access, healthcare across the lifespan, expansion of affordable healthcare, and being accepted as they are. This study provides preliminary evidence that the Photovoice approach can facilitate the interview process in a qualitative inquiry involving participants with limited ability to express their perspectives in the researchers' language. Conclusion: Study findings highlight the need to implement institutional policy and procedural changes within PHCs and to provide culturally competent, personcentered care for South Korea's marriage-based immigrant women and other ethnic minority populations. The findings also provide evidence-based direction for PHC service planning.

  • This article presents an examination of the major cognitive-semantic theories in linguistics (Langacker, Lakoff, Fillmore, Croft). The CST's foundations are discussed concerning the educational policy changes, which are necessary to improve the linguistic disciplines in the changing context of higher education, as well as the empowerment and development of the industry. It is relevant in the light of the linguistic specialists' quality training and the development of effective methods of language learning. Consideration of the theories content, tools, and methods of language teaching, which are an important component of quality teaching and the formation of a set of knowledge and skills of students of linguistic specialties, remains crucial. This study aims to establish the main theoretical positions and directions of cognitive-semantic theory in linguistics, determine the usefulness of teaching the basics of cognitive linguistics, the feasibility of using methods of cognitive-semantic nature in the learning process. During the research, the methods of linguistic description and observation, analysis, and synthesis were applied. The result of the study is to establish the need to study basic linguistic theories, as well as general theoretical precepts of cognitive linguistics, which remains one of the effective directions in the postmodern mainstream. It also clarifies the place of the main cognitive-semantic theories in the teaching linguistics' practice of the XXI century.

News, Public Policy, and Social Justice

  • In this paper, we look at mediation of public policies in different areas of governance. Editorials appearing in an Indian English language newspaper during the period of an intense public debate on the issue of affirmative action in favor of a section of the population, the Other Backward Classes (OBC) - a popular reference to the socially and educationally backward classes of citizens under India's constitution constitute the sample for the study. Apart from editorials on the public policy of reservation of seats in admission to higher education institutions for the OBC, editorials on three other areas of governance, namely, development, economy, and public administration appearing in the same newspaper, are also consulted to understand media framing of social issues and more specifically, issues of social justice. Inductively identifying the various frames used in its editorials by the newspaper, I detect predominant use of 'personalized' frame in respect of editorials pertaining to the policy area of social justice; and distinguish it from the 'generic' frame of 'characterization' found in theory. The study concludes that the sample editorials in respect of other public policies did not use the personalized frame found in editorials on social justice.

상황 인식 기반의 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅을 위한 접근 제어 시스템 (An Access Control System for Ubiquitous Computing based on Context Awareness)

  • 다양한 모바일 기기들이나 무선 네트워크들에 의한 무분별한 자원 접근은 시스템에 문제를 일으킬 수 있으므로 접근 권한 관리는 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 프로그래머가 각 응용 프로그램에 맞는 접근 권한 규칙을 정책 파일로 작성하고 이를 실행시키는 접근 제어 시스템을 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 구현된 접근 제어 시스템인 CACM(Context-awareness Access Control Manager)은 상황 인식 기반의 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅을 위한 프레임워크인 JCAF을 바탕으로 구현하였다. CACM은 프로그래머가 작성한 정책 파일을 바탕으로 접근을 제어한다. 또한 본 논문에서는 정책 파일을 정적 분석하여 잘못된 정책 파일 규칙 알려주는 지원 시스템을 제공하며 본 시스템을 사용하여 개발된 유비쿼터스 응용 프로그램의 실행을 시뮬레이션 할 수 있는 시뮬레이터와 시뮬레이션 결과를 제공한다.

퍼지 이론을 이용한 학습오인 진단 시스템 설계 및 구현 (A Design and Implementation of Diagnosis System of Learning Misconception by Using Fuzzy Theory)

  • The purpose of this paper is to make a design and implementation of a diagnosis system of learning misconception of students who learn 'be' verb in the English language by using fuzzy theory. In this system, a fuzzy cognitive map exposes the fact that students' perception and misunderstanding about 'the English' language have an intertwined relationship, and diagnoses causes of misconceptions of students by using fuzzy memory associative memory. It suggests that since most existing systems of rule based expert system have had several limitations, this system will be applied to diagnose learners' misconception of learning in varieties of education areas.

의문문 질의 시스템을 위한 한국어 문장의 의미적 동일성 분석 (An Analysis of Identity of Meaning in Korean Sentence For Questions-Query System)

  • 본 논문은 변형된 한국어 문장에 대해 변형 이전의 문장과의 의미적 동일성을 분석하여 한국어 의문문 질의어의 문형과 상이한 문형의 한국어 문장도 정보검색시 검색 대상문에 포함시켜 검색 정확도를 높임으로써 의문문 질의 시스템의 성능을 향상시키는 것에 연구의 초점을 맞추고 있다. 한국어 문장에서 주로 나타나는 피동화에 의한 변형, 분열문에 의한 변형, 명사화에 의한 변형, 어순 재배치에 의한 변형 등의 특성에 대해 알아보고 의문문 질의 시스템에서 그들 각각의 변형을 인식하여 변형 이전의 문장과 동일한 의미의 문장으로 처리하는 방법에 대해서 자세히 살펴보았다.

SeqGAN 모델을 이용한 한국어 시 자동 생성 (Automatic Generation of Korean Poetry using Sequence Generative Adversarial Networks)

  • 본 논문에서는 SeqGAN 모델을 사용하여 한국어 시를 자동 생성해 보았다. SeqGAN 모델은 문장 생성을 위해 재귀 신경망과 강화 학습 알고리즘의 하나인 정책 그라디언트(Policy Gradient)와 몬테카를로 검색(Monte Carlo Search, MC) 기법을 생성기에 적용하였다. 시 문장을 자동 생성하기 위한 학습 데이터로는 사랑을 주제로 작성된 시를 사용하였다. SeqGAN 모델을 사용하여 자동 생성된 시는 동일한 구절이 여러번 반복되는 문제를 보였지만 한국어 텍스트 생성에 있어 SeqGAN 모델이 적용 가능함을 확인하였다.

초등영어교육의 실태와 개선방안 (English teaching in the elementary school of Korea: Problems and remedies)

  • English teaching in the elementary school of Korea had been put into practice as an extracurricular activity from 1982 till 1996. But a TEFL program as a regular course in the elementary school of Korea has been practiced since 1997, according to the language policy to establish early English education in all the elementary schools of Korea. The purpose of this study is to identify the current state of English teaching in the elementary school of Korea, to investigate its problems and to suggest some remedies for its improvement. For this purpose this study includes the analysis and result of the survey. The survey result points out that English teaching in the elementary school of Korea is not satisfactory and has some problems in many fields. In this connection the present study suggests some remedies for the improvement of English teaching in the elementary school of Korea.
