  • 일반적인 통신 시스템에서 높은 전력을 가지는 출력 신호를 얻기 위하여 고전력증폭기(HPA)의 사용은 필수적이다. 그러나 HPA를 통과한 신호는 AM/AM 및 AM/PM의 비선형왜곡이 발생하는 단점을 가지고 있다. 그 결과 송신신호의 대역내 신호 스펙트럼이 왜곡되고 신호의 대역폭을 확장시켜 인접채널에 간섭을 유발한다. 본 논문에서는 HPA의 비선형 왜곡 특성을 보상하기 위하여 기저대역에서 룩업테이블(LUT)을 이용한 전치왜곡기의 동작 알고리듬을 제안한다. 먼저, LUT의 빠른 초기화를 위하여 송신신호로부터 HPA의 특성을 예측하여LUT를 초기화 시키는 알고리듬을 제안한다. 그리고 통신중에 HPA의 특성이 변화할 경우에 대비하여 평균자승오차를 최소화하는 적응알고리듬을 제안한다.

Reduction of Dynamic False Contour in PDP using Equalizing Pulses

  • In this paper, we report relatively simple equalizing pulse method for reducing dynamic false contour in PDP. Calculation cost is reduced by limiting pixels to add equalizing pulse and using look-up-table(LUT) for given subfield pattern. Pixels to be modified are determined after comparing selected number of most significant bits(MSB) with those of adjacent pixels. The equalizing pulse amount is determined by consulting LUT, which is for a fixed velocity of 1 pixel/tv field. Even though the suggested scheme does not cover every luminance combination of neighboring pixels, it is expected to work well after appropriate modifications are made according to the velocity.

  • This paper proposes the method that design CLUT(color look-up table) simultaneously processing gamut mapping and color space conversion using only LUT without complex computation. After we construct LUT composed of scanner gamut and printer gamut, we extend L$\^$*/a$\^$*/b$\^$*/ points based on input L$\^$*/a$\^$*/b$\^$*/ to include input scanner L$\^$*/a$\^$*/b$\^$*/ Input RGB image of scanner is converted into CIEL$\^$*/a$\^$*/b$\^$*/ using regression (unction. CIELAB values of scanner are convened into CMY values including gamut mapping processing without additional gamut mapping using the proposed CLUT. In the experiments, the proposed method resulted in the similar color difference, but reduced the complexity computation compared with processing gamut mapping and color space conversion respectively

  • 본 논문에서는 구간선형 모델을 적용하여 낮은 복잡도를 가지는 LSC(Lens-Shading Correction) 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 각 화소와 렌즈 중심점으로부터 거리를 정수형으로 계산하고, 이 정수를 거리에 대한 LSC 이득값이 저장된 LUT(Look-Up Table)에 대한 주소로 적용하여, 입력 화소 값에 곱함으로써 LSC를 수행한다. 거리를 구하려면 제곱근 회로가 추가되어야 한다. LUT에 저장된 이득값은 원점으로부터의 거리에 대한 평균 이득값을 저장하고 있기 때문에, 제곱근 계산에 높은 정밀도를 할애하여도 LSC 보상된 영상의 화질에 미치는 영향은 높지 않으므로 정수형 제곱근 연산을 수행한다. 제곱근 계산은 구간 선형화하여 단지 덧셈과 쉬프트 연산만으로 제곱근 연산을 완료할 수 있도록 간략화 하였다. 제안한 알고리즘을 양산 중인 일반 카메라 모듈에 적용한 결과, 카메라모듈 제조업체의 LSC 평가 기준을 상회하는 수준으로 나타나며, 구현될 하드웨어 복잡도가 매우 낮아서 모바일 카메라 구현에 매우 적합하다.

  • The proposed Novel OverDriving Technology with Optimum Look-up-Table(LUT)is suggested to be a better solution to reducing the occurrence of overshooting caused by the traditional overdriving method implemented to normally liquid crystal (VA mode). Chunghwa Picture Tubes, LTD. (CPT) has successfully implement this tech into 20 inch TFTLCD TV module at the present day. The proposed technology can speed up gray-to-gray response time of LCD less than one half of frame time. On the side, Optimum LUT construction apply the compression scheme to record total actual grayscale transfer characteristics instead of applying the normal spread method such as linear / non-linear interpolation. The memory space is been reduced and the distortion of the image quality is lesser.

  • In this paper, we propose the algorithm for generating the array of elemental image by using look-up table (L UT) in a computer generated integral imaging system. It makes the LUT independently for the projection point of x and y. The algorithm using LUT to the existing ones needs less computing time to generate the array of elemental image. By comparing the computing time of proposed algorithm with that of the existing algorithms e xperimently, we proved the efficiency of proposed algorithm.

  • MAP algorithm is known for optimal decoding algorithm of Turbo codes, but it has very large computational complexity and delay. Generally log-MAP algorithm is used in order to overcome the defect. In this paper we propose modified scheme of the state metric calculation block which can improve the computation speed in log-MAP decoder and simple linear offset unit without using LUT. The simulation results show that the operation speed of the proposed scheme is improved as compared with that of the past scheme.

  • In this paper, we propose the hardware architecture of a display converter which is consisted of four functional blocks. The four functional blocks consists of a set of color space converter, de-interacer, video display scaler, and gamma corrector. After the proposed architecture was implemented into hardware, we verified that it operated exactly. The designed hardware has 7,629 LUT and 6,800 Logic Register in Stratix device of Altera and operates in 270 MHz clock frequency.

  • In this paper, reuse module generation algorithm consider the power consumption for FPGA technology mapping is proposed. To proposed algorithm is RT library generating algorithm, consider power consumption for reuse module using FPGA technology mapping. In the first, selected FPGA for power consumption calculation.   • With the aim to provide an efficient platform for the elastic-plastic analysis of steel structures, reinforced concrete (RC) structures and steel-concrete composite structures, a program iFiberLUT based on the fiber model was developed within the framework of ABAQUS. This program contains an ABAQUS Fiber Generator which can automatically divide the beam and column cross sections into fiber sections, and a material library which includes several concrete and steel uniaxial material models. The range of applications of iFiberLUT is introduced and its feasibility is verified through previously reported test data of individual structural members as well as planar steel frames, RC frames and composite frames subjected to various loadings. The simulation results indicate that the developed program is able to achieve high calculation accuracy and favorable convergence within a wide range of applications.
