  • The purpose of study is obtaining low-emission and high-efficiency in LPi engine with hydrogen enrichment. The test engine was named variable compression ratio single cylinder engine (VACRE). The fuel supply system provides LPG/hydrogen mixtures based on same heating value. A varied sensors such as crank shaft position sensor (CPS) and hall sensor supplies spark timing data to ignition controller. Displacement of VACRE is $1858.2cm^3$. VACRE was runned 1400rpm with compression ratio 8. Spark timing was set MBT without knocking. Relative air-fuel ratio($\lambda$) of this work was varied between 0,8 and 1.5.

  • Studies in landscape ecology have emphasized on the relationship between landscape patterns and shapes. A variety of landscape metrics has been developed so far to quantify landscape structures. Therefore, their developments and widespread applications become possible with the advent of spatial information systems including geographic information systems(GIS) and remote sensing. This study is to grasp the change of land use and landscape ecology indices, and to analyze the change of landscape structure in a part of Gyeonggi-do during 15 years from 1985 to 2000. Green-area distribution maps and agricultural-area distribution maps for the analysis were reconstructed from land cover maps constructed by WAMIS(Water Management Information System). And then, 4 landscape ecology indices(TA, LPI, SHAPE_AM, CAI_MN) for the green-area and 5 landscape ecology indices(TA, PD, LPI, LSI, CAI_MN) for the agricultural-area were selected by using pearson correlation analysis. According to the spatio-temporal change analysis using landscape ecology indices, the green-area fragmentation of Yongin was the most severe of the study area and the agricultural-area fragmentation of Gwangju and Namyangju was more severe than any other regions.

주파수 도약 다중 사용자 통신 시스템의 비선형 특성 분석 (Analysis of Nonlinear Characteristics in the Frequency Hopping Multiple Access(FHMA) Communication System)

  • FHMA(frequency hopping multiple access) 통신 시스템은 다중 접속의 한 방식으로 LPI(low probability of intercept)와 AJ(anti-jamming)에 좋은 성능을 가진다 FHMA 통신 시스템의 기지국이나 중계기에서 많은 사용자 신호로 인하여 높은 PAPR(peak to average power ratio)이 된다. 한편, HPA(high power amplifier)의 비선형 보상을 위하여 predistorter를 사용한다. 본 연구는 PAPR 분포를 결정하는 사용자 수와 IBO(input back on의 크기에 따라 통신성능을 분석하였다. SSPA(solid state power amplifier) 경우, predistorter를 사용하는 것이 항상 좋은 영향을 주지 않으며, 사용자 수에 따라 적절한 IBO 크기가 있음을 연구하였다. 사용자 수가 16, p=1일 때, IBO가 6 ㏈전까지는 predistorter를 사용하지 않았을 때 성능이 더 좋지만, IBO가 6 ㏈보다 클 경우는 predistorter의 비선형 보상 효과를 받아 더 좋은 성능이 보인다. 즉, 사용자 수에 따라서, predistorter 사용할 때는 일정크기 의 cross-over IBO값 이상에서 비선형 보상 효과가 발생한다. TWTA일 경우, TWTA가 SSPA보다 진폭 및 위상 변환 특성에서 더 nonlinear하기 때문에, SSPA보다 더 많은 성능 개선 효과가 있다. BER=$10^{-3}$ 기준에서, predistorter를 사용하는 것이 사용자가 16명일 때는 약 2.5 ㏈, 사용자가 32명일 때는 3 ㏈의 SNR 이득 효과를 갖는다.

  • 고정 화소수의 표시소자를 기반으로 하는 무안경 방식 다시점 3D 디스플레이는 시점수 증가에 따른 입체영상 저해상도 문제를 안고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위하여, 본 논문은 프로젝션 기반의 무안경식 다시점 3D 디스플레이 시스템에서 구면 형태의 상용 렌티큐라 렌즈시트를 사용하여 단위화소의 폭을 집속하고 광원수 증가에 따른 유효 해상도를 증가시켜 저해상도의 문제를 해결하는 광학적 접근 방법을 제시하였다. 제시된 방법은 주어진 시스템환경에서 도출 가능한 주요 파라메터의 정의 및 이론적, 실험적 결과를 통하여 축소 가능한 단위화소폭 및 확장 가능한 유효 해상도를 도출하는 수순으로 수행되었다. 결과적으로 1.016 mm의 단위화소폭을 기준으로 25 LPI의 렌티큐라 렌즈 시트를 투과하였을 경우, 축소된 폭(Beam waist)은 0.19 mm, 확장 가능한 유효 해상도는 최대 5배를 나타내었다. 이와 더불어, 초점심도(Depth of focus)는 1.496 mm로서 상용 렌티큐라 렌즈 시트의 두께 허용치 및 광학계 정렬 허용범위를 충분히 확보하였다.

국내 광역 단위 지역의 액상화 재해도 작성을 위한 연구 (A Study on Mapping of Liquefaction Hazard at a Megalopolis in Korea)

  • Liquefaction hazard caused by earthquake is the damage in a wide range. Until now, liquefaction hazard potential at a small area or most structure in Korea was assessed by modified Seed & Idriss method. However, it has been known that this method is not proper for metropolitan area due to a lot of time and data to perform the related ground response analyses such as Shake program. For these reasons, the current method has been used facilities or structures, not metropolitan area. In this study, several contents in seismic design of Eurocode and Korean seismic design standard for Port and Harbor were introduced and applied for assessing the liquefaction potential and mapping the liquefaction hazard by LPI(Liquefaction Potential Index). Finally, Ulsan metropolitan city was practically drawn in two dimensional space.

Advanced LDC Test Bed Using Energy Recovery Technique for HEVs

  • This paper reports the development of test bed with the energy recovering technique using two-step boost converter. The device is utilized for LDC aging test of Hyundai Motor's LPI AVANTE HEV in mass production. The developed power recycle type test bed is designed as 1.5 kW class to test up to the maximum load power of LDC and is also designed to supply scant power supply up to 500 W after power recycle. The theoretical design analysis and operational characteristics analysis results of test bed are reported, and its practicality and reliability are verified through the test result. Also, the finally developed test bed confirms approximately 79~85 % energy saving effect compared to the usual traditional aging test system.

Top-Feed Type 인젝터의 액상분사 LPG연료 분사장치 적용 (Top-Feed Type Port Fuel Injector for Liquefied Petroleum Gas Liquid Phase Injection)

  • The injection and spray characteristics of top-feed type injector was investigated under liquid phase injection fueled with liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Different pressures and temperatures of fuel injection system were tested to identify the injection characteristics after hot soaking. MIE-scattering technique was used for verification of successful liquid phase injection after hot soaking. In case of bottom-feed type injector, the injection was accomplished at every experimental condition. In case of top-feed type injector, when the pressure of LPG was over 1.2 MPa, the injection was not executed. However, under the pressure were 1.2 MPa, the liquid phase injection after hot soaking was accomplished. The engine with top-feed type fuel injection equipment was restarted successfully after hot soaking.

  • 지진으로부터 상대적으로 안전지대라고 여겨졌던 한반도에서 2017년 규모 5.4의 강진이 포항지역에 발생함으로써 액상화 현상이 민가, 농지에서 광범위하게 나타났고 이에 액상화 현상을 예측하는 액상화 재해도 작성에 관한 연구수요가 높아지고 있다. 액상화 현상이란 느슨한 사질토에서 지진과 같은 큰 동적응력이 짧은 시간 작용할 때 과잉간극수압의 급격한 증가로 지반의 강도가 완전히 상실되는 현상을 의미한다. 액상화는 액상화 가능지수(liquefaction potential index, LPI)를 통해 평가할 수 있지만 LPI는 단일 시추공 별로 산출되기 때문에 해당지역의 대표성에 대한 문제가 발생하게 된다. 이러한 대표성의 문제는 지리정보시스템(geographic information system, GIS)을 활용한 공간보간을 통해 보완될 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 지구통계학적인 공간보간 기법 중 하나인 크리깅(kriging)을 활용하여 지반정보의 대표성 문제를 해결하고자 하였으며 액상화 평가를 위한 지반정보DB를 구축하고자 하였다. 또한 구축된 지반정보DB를 활용하여 재현주기 별 액상화 재해도를 작성하였으며 액상화 재해도 결과는 교차검증을 통하여 정밀도 검증을 수행하였다.

동해석을 이용한 연료펌프의 캠 형상 설계 (Cam Profile Design of a Fuel Pump Using Dynamic Analysis)

  • This work focuses on reducing the noise and vibration levels of an LPi fuel pump, which are generated from the dynamic motions of pump elements and non-uniform flow of fuel. The noise and vibration levels increase as the revolution speed of the cam goes up. The fuel pump consists of five cavity cells, plungers and diaphragms, which are driven by the cam. The optimal design of the cam profile is performed to decrease the accelerations of moving Parts and to obtain a smooth hydraulic force through a dynamic analysis of a cam-plunger mechanism. The cam-Plunger with a cavity is modeled as a 2 degrees of freedom system having non-linear contacts, the cam profile being represented in terms of Fourier series in order to determine the optimal shape of the cam. From the optimized cam Profile, the acceleration of the diaphragm is reduced in $78\%$, the hydraulic force becoming smoother in case that the hydraulic force is rapidly dropped.

Design and Implementation of True Random Noise Radar System

  • The design theory and experimental results of a true random noise radar system are presented in this paper. Target range information can be extracted precisely by correlation processing between the delayed reference and the signal received from a target, and the velocity information by the Doppler processing with successive correlation data. A K-band noise radar system was designed using random FM noise signal, and the characteristics of the fabricated system were examined with laboratory and outdoor experiments. A C-band random FM noise signal was generated by applying a low-frequency white Gaussian noise source to VCO(Voltage Controlled Oscillator), and a K-band Tx noise signal with 100 MHz bandwidth was obtained by using a following frequency multiplier. Two modified wave-guide horn arrays were designed and fabricated, and used for the Tx and Rx antennas. The required amount of Tx/Rx isolation was attained by using a coupling cancellation circuit as well as keeping them apart with predetermined spacing. A double down-conversion scheme was used in the Rx and reference channels, respectively, for easy post processing such as correlation and Doppler processing. The implemented noise radar performance was examined with a moving bicycle and a very high-speed target with a velocity of 150 m/s. The results extracted by the Matlab simulation using the logging data were found to be in a reasonable agreement with the expected results.
