균형상살 검출 알고리즘에서 검출과 관련된 설계변수의 민감도 해석 몇 최적화 (Sensitivity Analysis and Optimization of Design Variables Related to an Algorithm for Loss of Balance Detection)

  • This study suggested an optimized algorithm for detecting the loss of balance(LOB) in the seated position. And the sensitivity analysis was performed in order to identify the role of each design variable in the algorithm. The LOB algorithm consisted of data processing of measured signals, an internal model of the central nervous system and a control error anomaly(CEA) detector. This study optimized design variables of a CEA detector to obtain improved values of the success rate(SR) of detecting the LOB and the margin time(MT) provided for preventing the falling. Nine healthy adult volunteers were involved in the experiments. All the subjects were asked to balance their body in a predescribed seated posture with the rear legs of a four-legged wooden chair. The ground reaction force from the right leg was measured from the force plate while the accelerations of the chair and the head were measured from a couple of piezoelectric accelerometers. The measured data were processed to predict the LOB using a detection algorithm. Variables S2, h2 and hd are related to the detector: S2 represents a data selecting window, h2 a time shift and hd an operating period of the LOB detection algorithm. S2 was varied from 0.1 to 10 sec with an increment of 0.1 sec, and both h2 and hd were varied from 0.01 to 1.0 sec with an increment of 0.01 sec. It was found that the SR and MT were increased by up to 9.7% and 0.497 sec comparing with the previously published case when the values of S2, h2 and hd were set to 4.5, 0.3 and 0.2 sec, respectively. Also the results of sensitivity analysis showed that S2 and h2 had considerable influence on the SR while these variables were not so sensitive to the MT.

  • In this paper, we present the performance of the LOB(line of bearing) - based emitter localization algorithm. The linear LSE(least-squared error) algorithm, nonlinear LSE algorithm and Stansfield algorithm are considered. In addition, we focus on the performance improvement of the weighted estimation compared with the unweighted estimation. Each estimation algorithm is briefly introduced, and the performance of the algorithm is illustrated using the numerical results.

  • Efficient scheduling and resource management are the key factor to reduce construction project budget (e.g., labor cost, equipment cost, material cost, etc.). Resource-based line of balance (LOB) technique has been used to complement the limitations of time-driven scheduling techniques (e.g., critical-path method). Optimizing construction alternatives contributes cost savings while honoring the project deadline. However, existing LOB scheduling is lack of identifying optimal resource combination. This study presents a method which identifies the optimal construction alternatives, hence achieving resource minimization in a repetitive construction by using genetic algorithm (GA). The method provides efficient planning tool that enhances the usability of the system.

  • This study presents an application of stochastic model for limit order book (LOB) dynamics to Korean Stock Index Futures (KOSPI 200 Futures). Since KOSPI 200 futures market is widely known as one of the most liquid markets in the world, direct application of an existing model is hardly possible. Therefore, we modified an existing model to successfully model and predict the dynamics of extremely liquid KOSPI 200 futures market.

  • 본 논문은 지구를 구체(Sphere)로 모델링하고, 좌표계 변환 없이 위경도 좌표계에서 지구 곡률이 고려된 곡선형태의 신호방향선(Line Of Bearing, LOB)을 이용하여 비선형 최소제곱법(Nonlinear Least Squared Estimator, NLSE)으로 고정형 신호원의 위치를 추정하는 방법을 소개한다. 그리고 추가적으로 지구를 타원체(Ellipsoid)로 모델링하여 위치추정성능을 개선하는 방법을 제안한다. 모의실험을 통해 지구 곡률이 고려된 곡선 LOB를 이용하는 NLSE 방법이 기존 삼각측량법(Triangulation Method) 대비 우수한 위치추정 성능을 가짐을 보이고 타원체 모델을 이용하여 위치추정성능을 개선함을 보인다.

3차 저장 장치의 장착을 위한 MIDAS-II의 확장

  • MIDAS-II는 한국전자통신연구원에서 개발한 바다 DBMS의 저장 시스템이다. 본 논문에서는, MIDAS-II가 대용량 멀티미디어 데이타 서버의 저장 시스템으로 기능하도록 광 디스크 쥬크박스 또는 테이프 라이브러리와 같은 3차 저장 장치를 효율적으로 장착하기 위한 확장에 대하여 기술하였다. 복수개의 저장 매체(platter, 예를 들어 디스크 또는 카트리지 테이프)로 구성된 3차 저장 장치용 볼륨 구조를 위하여 기존 MIDAS-II 디스크 볼륨 구조를 확장하여 3차 저장 장치 볼륨의 용량을 Tera 바이트급으로 확대하였다. 그리고 3차 저장 장치에 저장된 LOB(Large Object) 데이타를 효율적으로 처리하기 위하여 기존 MIDAS-II LOB 구조를 확장하였다. 또한 MIDAS-II 공유 메모리 구조, 프로세스 구조, 유틸리티 등을 확장하였고, 기존 응용 프로그램 운용에 변화를 주지 않기 위하여 MIDAS-II API 함수들의 프로토 타입을 그대로 유지한 채 그 내부 기능만 확장하였다. 또한 3차 저장 장치로부터의 데이타 검색 성능을 평가하여 본 논문의 3차 저장 장치 장착을 위한 MIDAS-II 확장의 적정성을 확인하였다. 이상의 확장 및 성능 평가는 모두 SunOS 5.4 환경에서 수행되었다.

차량 애드혹 네트워크의 빈번한 토폴로지 변경에 적합한 기회적 브로드캐스트 프로토콜 (Opportunistic Broadcast Protocol for Frequent Topology Changes in Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks)

  • The message propagation between vehicles must be efficiently performed to quickly transmit information between vehicles in vehicle ad hoc networks (VANETs). Broadcasting can be the most effective solution for propagating these messages. However, broadcasting can cause broadcast storm problems, which can reduce the performance of the overall network. Therefore, rapid information delivery in VANET requires a method that can propagate messages quickly without causing the broadcast storm problems. This paper proposes a lightweight and opportunistic broadcast (LOB) protocol that leverages the features of opportunistic routing to propagate messages quickly while minimizing the load on the network in VANETs where the network topology changes frequently. LOB does not require any routing information like greedy forwarding scheme, and neighboring nodes at the farthest distance within the range of transmission nodes are likely to be selected as forwarding nodes, and multiple forwarding candidate nodes like opportunistic routing scheme can increase packet transmission rates. Simulation results using ns-2 showed that LOB outperformed existing broadcast protocols in terms of packet rate and packet delay.

  • The objective of this study were to the distribution of low back pain prevalence rates, and to Identify and compare risk indicators in cases with low back pain presence and low back pain absence. The results were as follows : 1. Of the respondents, 34.4% reported lob-related LBP 2. There were statistically significant relationships between job satisfaction, time spent standing, time spent sitting, vibration, noise.
