Main PDP panel efficacy improvement factors are discussed. A large panel efficacy improvement can be obtained through a combination of discharge efficiency improvement and phosphor improvement. Important design elements are a high Xe-content gas mixture, the application of a $TiO_2-layer$, and a new green phosphor with little saturation at high VUV-load. In a 4-inch color test panel with a conventional stripe-type cell configuration a white efficacy of 4.4 lm/W and a luminance of 5000 $cd/m^2$ is obtained for sustaining at 250V in addressed condition.
This paper considers a linear regression model with space and time data in where the disturbances follow spatially correlated error components. We provide the best linear unbiased predictor for the one way error components. We provide the best linear unbiased predictor for the one way error component model with spatial autocorrelation. Further, we derive two diagnostic test statistics for the assessment of model specification due to spatial dependence and random effects as an application of the Lagrange Multiplier principle.

A Ceramic Metal-halide lamp is achieved by adding multiple metals to a basic mercury discharge. Because the vapor pressure of most metals is very much lower than mercury itself, metal-halide salts of the desired metals, having higher vapor pressures, are used to introduce the material into the basic discharge. The metal compounds are usually polyatomic iodides, which vaporize and subsequently dissociate as they diffuse into the bulk plasma. Metals with multiple visible transitions are necessary to achieve high photometric efficiency and good color. Compounds of Sc, Dy, Ho, Tm, Ce, Pr, Yb and Nd are commonly used. The maximum visible efficacy of a Ceramic Metal Halide lamp, under the constant of a white light source, is predicted to be about 450lm/W. This is controlled principally by the chemical fill chosen for a particular lamp. Current these lamps achieve 130lm/W and these life time are the maximum 16,000[hr]. So factors of performance lower are necessary to improve lamp performance. In this paper, we analyzed factors of performance lower by accelerated deterioration test. The lamp was operated with short duration turn-on/turn-off procedure to enhance the effect due to electrode sputtering during lamp ignition. The tested lamp that was operated with a longer turn-on/off(20/20 minutes) showed blackening, changed distance between electrodes and lowered color rendering & color temperature by losses of Dy at 421.18nm, I at 511nm, T1 at 535nm and Na at 588nm compared with the new lamp.

In order to understand the influence of light artifact discoloration, priority must be given to the reaction characteristics of the light the materials constituting the product. In this study, we focus on two representative medium, animal glue and linseed oil which constitute the colored layer of the painting relics. This study is based on an accelerated degradation test using two types of light emitting diods (LEDs) with different wavelength characteristics. In the experiments, discoloration appeared markedly in the animal glue and linseed oil under accelerated aging test conditions using Blue LED. Among the two types of LEDs, the degree of discoloration of the material was much higher with the Blue LED having the total radiation flux (mW). This indicates that the discoloration of painting artifacts such as animal glue and linseed oil is more significantly influenced by the total radiation flux (mW) of the light source than the total luminous flux (lm).

Previously developed transgenic watermelon rootstocks (gongdae) inserted by CGMMV-CP were examined to test the virus tolerance levels. In the restricted plastic house, the $T_{3}$ watermelon rootstock showed tolerance to CGMMV until 70 days after inoculation on the leaves while the non-transformed watermelon rootstock became susceptible at 20 days after inoculation. In the field, tolerance efficiency of transgenic rootstocks maintained up to 40% at 71 days after contamination with CGMMV in the soil while all of the non-transformed rootstocks became susceptible at 37 days with the same condition. In the same field, transgenic rootstocks showed more tolerance to CGMMV than the non-transformed rootstocks as those were inoculated on the leaves, but it showed only 10 days delay before being susceptible. Therefore, transgenic rootstocks have a characteristic of delay effect against CGMMV susceptibility, rather than resistance character. From $T_{3}$ rootstocks homozygous for the CGMMV-CP horticulturally favorable individuals were selected for further breeding and a transgenic line was finally obtained at the $BC_{1}T_{5}$. A material transfer experiment was conducted to find out if the DNA, RNA or expressed protein in the transgenic rootstocks could move to the grafted scion (non-transformed watermelon, Super-Kumcheon). PCR, northern, and western blot analysis were performed and no evidence of transferring of those materials from rootstock to scion was ever found.

An organic acid tolerance mutant (M-200) was obtained from Leuconostoc mesenteroides KCCM 35471, followed by the screening procedure using a specific organic acid medium (lactic acid: acetic acid, 2:1). The characteristics of the acid tolerance M-200 and the wild type LM-W were examined at various temperature and pH ranges $(l0-30^{\circ}C$ of temp, 3.5-4.5 of pH). The growth of strain M-200 at HCl adjusted medium $(10^{\circ}C\;and\;pH 3.5)$ was observed. In the case of organic acid adjusted medium, the strain showed its growth at the pH range of 3.8. When the strain M-200 was used as a starter for Kimchi fermentation, a constant acid level (0.55) was observed during the whole fermentation period. This result indicates that the strain produces a proper level of acid content for the Kimchi fermentation. This result also indicates that the edible period of Kimchi can be extended to 3.5 fold compare to the result obtained from the LM-W used Kimchi fermentation. However the excess use of the strain M-200 showed the inhibition of growth of Lactobacillus plantarum, low lactic acid level content and low level of organoleptic test. In the case of organic acid content during the Kimchi fermentation, the strain M-200 showed relatively low production rate compare to the wild type (M-200: 3.5 mg/L at 21 days of fermentation, LM-W: 7 mg/L at 21 days of fermentation). Therefore a mixed Kimchi starter containing M-200 and other strains probably maintain a good Kimchi quality during the fermentation.
The characteristics of the Brazilian tensile strengths(σt) parallel to the rock cleavages in Jurassic granite from Geochang were analysed. The evaluation for the six directions of rock cleavages was performed using the parameter values on microcrack length and the above strength. The strength values of the five test specimens belonging to each direction were classified into five groups. The strength values of these five groups increase in order of group A < B < C < D < E. The close dependence between the above microcrack and strength was derived. The analysis results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the chart showing the variation and characteristics of strength among the three rock cleavages were made. In the above chart, the strength values of six directions belonging to each group were arranged in order of rift(R1 and R2), grain(G1 and G2) and hardway(H1 and H2). The strength distribution lines of the five groups concentrate in the direction of R1. And the widths among the above five lines indicating strength difference(Δσt) are the most narrowest in R1 direction. From the related chart, the variation characteristics among the two directions forming each rock cleavage were derived. G2(2)-test specimen shows higher value and lower value of the difference in strength compared to the case of G1(1)-test specimen. These kinds of phenomena are the same as the case between the test specimen H2(2) and H1(1). The strength characteristics of the above test specimens (2) suggest lower microcrack density value and higher degree of uniformity in the distribution of microcracks arrayed parallel to the loading direction compared to those of test specimens (1). The six strength values belonging to each group were arranged in increasing order in the above chart. The strength values of the test specimens belonging to both group D and E appear in order of R1 < R2 < G1 < H1 < G2 < H2. Therefore, the strength values of group D and E can be indicator values for evaluating the six directions of rock cleavages. Second, the correlation chart between slope angle(θ) and strength difference(Δσt) were made. The values of the above two parameters were obtained from the five strength distribution lines connecting between the two directions. From the chart related to rift plane(G1-H1, R'), grain plane(R1-H2, G') and hardway plane(R2-G2, H'), the slope values of linear functions increase in order of R'(0.391) < G'(0.470) < H'(0.485). Among three planes, the charts related to hardway plane show the highest distribution density among the five groups. From the related chart for rift(R1-R2, R), grain(G1-G2, G) and hardway(H1-H2, H), the slope values of linear functions increase in order of rift(0.407) < hardway(0.453) < grain(0.460). Among three rock cleavages, the charts related to rift show the highest frequency of groups belonging to the lower region. Taken together, the width of distribution of the slope angle among the three planes and three rock cleavages increase in order of H' < G < R' < R < G' < H. Third, the correlation analysis among the parameters related to microcrack length and the tensile strengths was performed. These parameters may include frequency(N), total length(Lt), mean length(Lm), median length(Lmed) and density(ρ). The correlation charts among individual parameters on the above microcrack(X) and corresponding five levels of tensile strengths for the five groups(Y) were made. From the five kinds of correlation charts, the values of correlation coefficients(R2) increase along with the five levels of strengths. The mean values of the five correlation coefficients from each chart increase in order of 0.22(N) < 0.34(Lt) < 0.38(ρ) < 0.57(Lmed) < 0.58(Lm). Fourth, the correlation chart among the corresponding maximum strength for group E(X) and the above five parameters(Y) were made. From the related chart, the values of correlation coefficient increase in order of 0.61(N) < 0.81(Lt) < 0.87(ρ) < 0.93(Lm) < 0.96(Lmed). The two parameters that have the highest correlations are median length with maximum strength. Through the above correlation analysis between microcrack and strength, the credibility for the results from this study can be enhanced.

This paper presents the shape optimization process for the automotive wheel bearing seal lip using the finite element method and the response surface method. First, to predict performance of the bearing seal lip, we used the non-linear finite element analysis. And then, we compared the analysis results with the test results to verify the finite element model. The objective function in optimizing process was obtained from results of the mud slurry test, which is one of many tests for evaluating performance of wheel bearing. After the mud slurry test for the four models which have the similar cross-sectional shape, we measured the wear area of the seal lip and the moisture content in grease. The objective function has been chosen by comparing the results of mud slurry test and characteristics of seal lip, such as contact force, contact area, contact pressure, and interference. Finally, within limited design parameters, we suggested the optimized shape of seal lip, which is expected to improve the wear and the sealing effect of it.

Investors have increasingly become interested in macroeconomic antecedents in order to better understand the investment environment and estimate the scope of profitable investment in equity markets. This study endeavors to examine the interdependency between the macroeconomic antecedents (international oil price (COP), Domestic gold price (GP), Rupee-dollar exchange rates (ER), Real interest rates (RIR), consumer price indices (CPI)), and the BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 index return. The data is converted into a natural logarithm for keeping it normal as well as for reducing the problem of heteroscedasticity. Monthly time series data from January 1992 to July 2019 is extracted from the Reserve Bank of India database with the application of financial Econometrics. Breusch-Godfrey serial correlation LM test for removal of autocorrelation, Breusch-Pagan-Godfrey test for removal of heteroscedasticity, Cointegration test and VECM test for testing cointegration between macroeconomic factors and market returns,] are employed to fit regression model. The Indian market returns are stable and positive but show intense volatility. When the series is stationary after the first difference, heteroskedasticity and serial correlation are not present. Different forecast accuracy measures point out macroeconomics can forecast future market returns of the Indian stock market. The step-by-step econometric tests show the long-run affiliation among macroeconomic antecedents.
Statement of the problem: In case of poor bone quality or immediately loaded implant, various strategies have been developed focusing on the surface of materials to improve direct implant fixation to the bone. The microscopic properties of implant surfaces play a major role in the osseous healing of dental implant. Purpose of study: This study was undertaken to evaluate bone response of ion beam-assisted deposition(IBAD) of hydroxyapatite(HA) on the anodized surface of subperiosteal titanium implants. Material and methods: Two half doughnut shape subperiosteal titanium implants were made. The control group was treated with Anodized surface treatment and the test group was treated with IBAD of HA on control surface. Then two implants inserted together into the subperiosteum of the skull of 30 rats and histological response around implant was observed under LM(light microscope) and TEM(transmission electron microscope) on 4th, 6th and 8th week. Results: Many subperiosteal implants were fixed with fibrous connective tissue not with bony tissue because of weak primary stability. The control group observed poor bone response and there was no significant change at any observation time. However the test group showed advanced bone formation and showed direct bone to implant contact under LM on 8th week. The test group observed much rER in the cell of osteoblast but the control group showed little rER under TEM. Conclusions: The test group showed better bone formation than the control group at the condition of weak primary stability. With these results IBAD surface treatment method on Anodized surface, may be good effect at the condition of weak primary stability.
