전자레인지용 LLC 공진형 인버터의 기동 제어 (Start-up Control of LLC Resonant Inverter for Microwave Oven Application)

  • One of the most critical part for magnetron driving in microwave oven is start-up control. For this, switching frequency of resonant inverter should be carefully controlled in order to supply sufficient power to the filament of the magnetron and to prevent rectifier diode from destruction caused by the excessive voltage across them. This paper proposes a novel start-up control strategy for LLC resonant inverter for microwave oven considering the non-oscillation mode time and the magnetron voltage during the start-up process. The validity of the proposed method is verified through the experiment with 1,200W microwave oven using LLC resonant inverter.

  • This paper proposes a parametric design of an LLC resonant inverter used for a microwave oven. To improve the harmonic performance of the microwave oven, a current controller with a variable PI gain is proposed. Due to the recent strengthening of harmonics regulations, inverter control technology for microwave ovens is now required to satisfy harmonic performance. In an LLC resonant inverter, the voltage gain varies remarkably depending on the magnetron voltage, output power, and input voltage. To satisfy harmonic performance, a controller that can maintain operation in the zero-voltage switching (ZVS) region and control changes in voltage gain is required. The modified design of the LLC resonant inverter ensures ZVS operation even when the magnetron is heated. Application of the variable current controller improves harmonic control according to the instantaneous gain curve change. The validity of the proposed power control with a variable current controller is verified by experiments with a 1200 W microwave oven.

  • This paper proposes a new power conditioning system for the fuel cell power generation, which consists of a LLC resonant DC-DC converter and 3-phase inverter. The LLC resonant converter boosts the fuel cell voltage of 26-48V up to 400V, using the hard-switching boost converter and the high-frequency ZVS half-bridge converter. The operation of proposed power conditioning system was verified through simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC software. The feasibility of hardware implementation was verified through experimental works with a laboratory prototype, which was built with 1.2kW PEM fuel-cell stack, 1kW LLC resonant converter, and 3kW PWM inverter. The proposed system can be utilized to commercialize a real interconnection system for the fuel-cell power generation.

  • 최근 PCS 시스템은 고집적화, 고효율화 그리고 고밀도화 되는 추세에 있다. 이러한 조건을 만족하기 위하여 두개의 공진탱크를 갖는 LLC 공진형 인버터와 LF(Low Frequency) Cyclo-converter로 구성된 PCS를 제안하였다. 본 논문에서는 제안된 회로의 동작모드와 이론에 대해 서술하였고 400W급 시제품을 제작하고, 계통전압(110Vac 60Hz)에 연결하여 실험 적용하였다.

  • This paper proposes a digital power control of the LLC resonant half-bridge inverter for high power microwave oven application. Conventional half-bridge inverter for driving a microwave oven uses a hardware-based power control method which varies the frequency according to the AC source voltage. In this case, it is difficult to control the output power according to the variation of the load status of magnetron. The proposed power control consists of an instantaneous current generator and a current controller. Instantaneous current generator makes an instantaneous current reference from power command using input voltage information. Current controller controls input current which has an information of status of magnetron. The proposed power control does not require any compensation algorithm for the change of the load status of the magnetron and change of input voltage. The validity of the proposed method for the control of the change of input voltage and frequency is verified by both simulation and experiment.

  • Nowadays, the development of sustainable transportation has been researched all over the world and Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI) is conducting a study in order to apply the sustainable Contactless Inductive Power Supply Technology to the electric railway system. But, inherent large flux leakage has limited the high power transmission because the gap of the Inductive Power Transformer(IPT) is much larger than one of the conventional transformers. In this study, a method to compensate the leakage flux and improve the power transmission by using LLC resonant inverter was proposed, incorporated in a built system, and verified by experimental work.

  • 최근 PCS(Power Conditioning System)는 고효율, 고 전력밀도 및 고 기능화를 통해 고집적화 추세에 있다. 이러한 요구를 만족시키기 위해 LLC 공진인버터와 LF 사이클로 컨버터로 구성된 회로를 제안했다. 동작분석 및 1kW 시제품을 제작하여 110Vac, 60Hz 전원계통연계실험 통해 적용 가능함을 보였으며 이에 대한 실험결과를 서술하였다.

  • This paper proposes a new grid-tied power converter for battery energy storage, which is composed of a 2-stage DC-DC converter and a PWM inverter. The 2-stage DC-DC converter is composed of an LLC resonant converter connected in cascade with a 2-quadrant hybrid-switching chopper. The LLC resonant converter operates in constant duty ratio, while the 2-quadrant hybrid-switching chopper operates in variable duty ratio for voltage regulation. The operation of proposed system was verified through computer simulations. Based on computer simulations, a hardware prototype was built and tested to confirm the technical feasibility of proposed system. The proposed system could have relatively higher efficiency and smaller size than the existing system.

  • The ac power conversion inverter provides the ac power to ECR device for wireless power transfer. In this paper, the operating efficiency of the class-${\Phi}_2$ resonant inverter has been studied through by experiment for optimal design. Its switching frequency is 1MH and the input voltage is 96V which is the output voltage of LLC resonant converter. And its output voltage is 230Vp-p. The efficiency is measured up to 84%.

  • The power conversion converter for driving the wireless power transfer system is can be into the two part of the DC power conversion rectifier and the high frequency dc-ac power conversion inverter. In this paper, The operating characteristics of the Class-${\Phi}_2$ resonant inverter have been investigated through by simulation and by experiment. It can be switched at a high frequency without the switching losses and the harmonics are reduced effectively due to the input LC filter. Its switching frequency is 1MHz and the input voltage is 96V which is the output voltage of LLC resonant converter. And its output peak voltage is 170V. The resonant inverter module operated at the commercial power source of 220V was built. And also the electromagnetic coupled resonance coils were designed for wireless power transfer with a 1MHz operating frequency. As a experimental result, the wireless power transmission was confirmed and it is varified the validity of the experiment.
