Recently, with the advent of satellite communication technologies, the network access service through satellites has emerged as an alternative to existing ones. Of satellite access services including multimedia services, the high speed internet access service will be one of the important services. Particularly, the efficient transportation of real time internet traffic seems very essential. The aim of this research is to examine the applicability of the IETF RTP protocol in the satellite access network. The RTP has been developed for the QoS-met transportation protocol of real time traffic over the existing best-effort internet. This paper summarizes the RTP protocol, and describes the architecture of the implementation of the RTP. And also, the compressed RTP header protocol is discussed for the applicability to the satellite link.

In this paper, we propose a novel method for estimating a vehicle's current position, even on roads that have similar patterns. In the proposed method, we classified the semantic information of the nodes in detail and added the semantic information of the link to solve the problem due to similar and repeated patterns. We also improved the mapping method by comparing the result of the duplicated matching with that of the only matching obtained just before corresponding duplicated matching. From the simulation results, we verify that the performance of the proposed method is better than that of the existing method.

DS-CDMA 다중 안테나 시스템에서 순방향 링크의 다중화를 위한 2차원 직교 가변 확산 부호를 제시하였다. 다중 사용자 환경 하에서의 AWGN 및 레일라이 페이딩 MIMO 채널을 위한 비트 오류율 성능을 평가하였다. 분석 결과로부터 제안 기법에 의한 유연한 부호율과 낮은 최대 상관값을 실현할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Multiple Antenna Technologies such as Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) and Beamforming provide the increase of channel capacity and the reliability of wireless link. To obtain these advantages, WiBro, Mobile WiMAX and $4^{th}$ Generation System are employing multiple antenna technologies. There exist, however, many technical issues in considering the application of the technologies or the providing of services using them. In this paper, various technical topics are discussed and simple solutions are proposed. Beamforming has several technical issues which include coverage imbalance, difficulties in providing Multicast-Broadcast Service (MBS). In Addition, network planning is a critical point from a cell extension and initial network entry point of view. In case of MIMO, network deployment is discussed in that cellular data network such as WiBro has many repeaters. MIMO mode selection for maximizing the cell capacity is also covered.

태양에 의한 위성전파교란으로 인해 통신이 두절되는 태양간섭 현상(Sun Transit Outage)을 예측해 보았다. 지금까지의 연구는 주로 정지위성의 경우에 국한되었고, 태양모델도 흑점 극소기때의 태양을 가정한 경우가 대부분이었다. 본 연구에서는 정지위성의 경우뿐 아니라 최근에 그 수요가 급증하고 있는 비 정지위성의 경우에도 그 발생가능성을 예측해 보았다. 특히 11년 주기의 태양표면에서의 활동 변화를 고려하여 태양 간섭현상을 보다 정확히 예측해 보았으며 그 영향을 하향링크의 주파수에 따라 알아보았다. 또한 연구 결과를 실제 운용되고 있는 무궁화위성 시스템에 적용시켜보았다.

Rain attenuation can cause a serious problem that an availability of space communication link on Ka band becomes low. To reduce the effect of rain attenuation on the error performance of space communications in Ka band, an adaptive coding and modulation (ACM) scheme is required. In this paper, to achieve a reliable telemetry data transmission, we propose an adaptive coding and modulation level using turbo code recommended by the consultative committee for space data systems (CCSDS) and various modulation methods (QPSK, 8PSK, 4+12 APSK, and 4+12+16 APSK) adopted in the digital video broadcasting-satellite2 (DVB-S2).

Purpose: This study was conducted to determine the predictors of health conservation for elders in Korea. Method: Random sampling method was used and data from 113 elders were used for final analysis. Data collection was conducted through the use of questionnaires which were constructed to include Health Conservation Scale, Purpose in Life Test and Self-efficacy Scale. Results: Health conservation of the elders was in the middle range. The elders of this study had few goals towards meaning in life, and were in an existential vacuum state. There was a positive correlation between health conservation, meaning in life and self-efficacy. The significant factors influencing health conservation of elders were meaning in life, education level and gender. These 3 factors explained 30.6% of health conservation of elders. Conclusions: The results indicate that health conservation is an important link with meaning in life in elders. There should be a comprehensive study in the future for in-depth understanding of health conservation of elders.

We introduce a magnetic field survey of the Gould Belt clouds using the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT) POL-2: B-fields In STar-forming Region Observations (BISTRO). POL-2 with SCUBA-2 on JCMT is a unique facility, as it is the only facility world-wide that can map the magnetic field within cold dense cores and filaments on scales of ~1000 AU in nearby star-forming regions, such as Taurus and Ophiuchus. It can provide a link between the B-field measured on arc-minute scales by Planck and BLASTPOL and measurements made on arc-second scales by interferometers such as CARMA, SMA, and ALMA. BISTRO was awarded 224 hours toward 16 fields for the next 3 years and started to take data in the 2016A semester.

As energy harvesting communication systems emerge, there is a need for transmission schemes that dynamically adapt to the energy harvesting process. In this paper, after exhibiting a finite-horizon online throughput-maximizing scheduling problem formulation and the structure of its optimal solution within a dynamic programming formulation, a low complexity online scheduling policy is proposed. The policy exploits the existence of thresholds for choosing rate and power levels as a function of stored energy, harvest state and time until the end of the horizon. The policy, which is based on computing an expected threshold, performs close to optimal on a wide range of example energy harvest patterns. Moreover, it achieves higher throughput values for a given delay, than throughput-optimal online policies developed based on infinite-horizon formulations in recent literature. The solution is extended to include ergodic time-varying (fading) channels, and a corresponding low complexity policy is proposed and evaluated for this case as well.

Mobility Analogy에 의하면 질량은 전기 커패시턴스에 대응되며 기계회로내에서 모든 질량은 기준점에 접지되어야 한다. 따라서 접지되지 않은 전기 커패시턴스에 대응하는 부동질량은 알려지지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 두개의 단체지지레버와 하나의 링크, 하나의 질량 그리고 네개의 마찰이 없는 베아링으로 부동질량을 구성했으며, 이렇게 구성된 부동질량은 레버의 길이비를 변화 시키므로서 등가질량의 같을 임의로 변화시킬 수 있음을 보였다.
