Silicon nitride ($Si_3N_4$) ceramics have been considered for various components of nuclear power plants such as the mechanical seal of a reactor coolant pump (RCP), the guide roller for a control rod drive mechanism (CRDM), and a seal support, etc. Corrosion behavior of $Si_3N_4$ ceramics in a high-temperature and high-pressure water must be elucidated before they can be considered as components for nuclear power plants. In this study, the corrosion behaviors of $Si_3N_4$ ceramics containing MgO and $Al_2O_3$ as sintering aids were investigated at a hydrothermal condition ($300^{\circ}C$, 9.0 MPa) in pure water and 35 ppm LiOH solution. The corrosion reactions were controlled by a diffusion of the reactive species and/or products through the corroded layer. The grain-boundary phase was preferentially corroded in pure water whereas the $Si_3N_4$ grain seemed to be corroded at a similar rate to the grain-boundary phase in LiOH solution. Flexural strengths of the $Si_3N_4$ ceramics were significantly degraded due to the corrosion reaction. Results of this study imply that a variation of the sintering aids and/or a control (e.g., crystallization) of the grain-boundary phase are necessary to increase the corrosion resistance of $Si_3N_4$ ceramics in a high-temperature water.
In order to investigate water flow characteristics after inrushing in process of karst tunnel excavation, numerical simulations for five case studies of water inrush from the tunnel floor are carried out by using the FLUENT software on the background of Qiyueshan high risk karst tunnel. Firstly, the velocity-distance curves and pressure-distance curves are drawn by selecting a series of probing lines in a plane. Then, the variation characteristics of velocity and pressure are analyzed and the respective optimized escape routes are made. Finally, water flow characteristics after inrushing from the tunnel floor are discussed and summarized by comparing case studies under the conditions of different water-inrush positions and excavation situations. The results show that: (1) Tunnel constructors should first move to the tunnel side wall and then escape quickly when water inrush happens. (2) Tunnel constructors must not stay at the intersection area of the cross passage and tunnels when escaping. (3) When water inrush from floor happens in the left tunnel, if tunnel constructors meet the cross passage during escaping, they should pass through it rapidly, turn to the right tunnel and run to the entrance. (4) When water inrush from floor happens in the left tunnel, if there is not enough time to escape, tunnel constructors can run to the trolley and other equipment in the vicinity of the right tunnel working face. In addition, some rescuing equipment can be set up at the high location of the cross passage. (5) When water inrush from floor happens in the cross passage, tunnel constructors should move to the tunnel side wall quickly, turn to the tunnel without water inrush and run to the entrance. (6) When water inrush from floor happens in the cross passage, if there is not enough time to escape, tunnel constructors can run to the trolley and other equipment near by the left or the right tunnel working face. The results are of important practical significance and engineering value to ensure the safety of tunnel construction.

Literatures and experimental studies have shown that Prunella has an effect on anti-hypertension, however, its components are complicated, so that it is still difficult to clear the specific roles of its various components in blood pressure regulation in. So we decide to systematically study the anti-hypertension mechanism of Prunella. We integrated multiple databases and constructed molecular interaction network between the chemical constituents of Prunella Vulgaris and hypertension based on entity grammar systems model. The network has 262 nodes and 802 edges. Then we infer the interactions between chemical compositions and disease targets to clarify the anti-hypertension mechanism. Finally, we found Prunella could influence hypertension by regulating apoptosis, cell proliferation, blood vessel development and vasoconstriction, etc. Thus this study provides reference for drug development and compatibility, and also gives guidance for health care at a certain extent.

The growth characteristics of 4-fold grain which was appeared in KLN deposition on $Pt/Ti/SiO_2/Si(100)$ substrate was studied by varying process variables. Substrate temperature, sputtering pressure, rf power were selected as process variables, and experiment was carried out near optimum fabrication condition. When using K and Li enriched target, the optimum fabrication conditions were substrate temperature of $600^{\circ}C$, sputtering pressure of 150mTorr, rf power of 100 W and its surface morphology is sensitively varied by small deposition condition changes. KLN is composed of elements which have large difference of boiling point. And it is difficult to fabricate thin film at high temperature and high vacuum deposition condition. Furthermore the phenomenon during deposition process can not be explained by using Thorton's model which explains the relation between thin film structure and melting point of thin film materials. These phenomenon can be explained using boiling point of elements which consist of thin film material.
This paper aims to investigate the frequency and intensity variations of Okhotsk high pressure system focused on the Korean Peninsula. Weather chart (00UTC), daily weather data and reanalysis data were used. The first occurrence date of Okhotsk high pressure system tends to be earlier in those years that surrounding land air temperature in April is high. The frequency of Okhotsk high has recently decreased, and its intensity tends to be stronger when the difference between sea surface temperature and surrounding land air temperature is big. The frequency of Okhotsk high in April, May, June and July increases when surrounding land air temperature is high, and its intensity grows when the difference between surrounding land air temperature and sea surface temperature is big. The frequency of Okhotsk high may increase and its intensity may increase when the first occurrence date comes earlier. In June, however, the reverse may apply.
The main objective of this work is to estimate the fluid flow of a proportional valve. The study is based on the classical compressible flow theory and the computations with the help of CFD based commercial software - ANSYS CFX. The fluid flow with the movement of spool along the sleeve is simulated. To change the spool moving from 0.4mm to 2.0mm, the moving mesh method with different condition of orifice is considered here. The results show that it is the highest at the 80 % (1.6mm) opening and at the 20 % (0.4mm) opening, is the lowest.
The structural vibration suppression with active constrained layer damping (ACLD) was widely studied recently. However, the literature seldom concerned with the vibration control on flow-induced vibration using active constrained layer. In this paper the wind induced vibration of cantilevered beam is analyzed and suppressed by using random theory together with a velocity feedback control strategy. The piezoelectric material and frequency dependent viscoelastic layer are used to achieve effective active damping in the vibration control. The transverse displacement and velocity in time and frequency domains, as well as the power spectral density and the mean-square value of the transverse displacement and velocity, are formulated under wind pressure at variable control gain. It is observed from the numerical results that the wind induced vibration can be significantly suppressed by using a small outside active voltage on the constrained layer.
This paper presents a rigorous solution for spherical cavity expansion in unsaturated soils under constant suction condition. The hydraulic behavior that describes the saturation-suction relationship is modeled by a void ratio-dependent soil-water characteristic curve, which allows the hydraulic behavior to fully couple with the mechanical behavior that is described by an extended critical state soil model for unsaturated soil through the specific volume. Considering the boundary condition and introducing an auxiliary coordinate, the problem is formulated to a system of first-order differential equations with three principal stress components and suction as basic unknowns, which is solved as an initial value problem. Parameter analyses are conducted to investigate the effects of suction and the overconsolidation ratio on the overall expansion responses, including the pressure-expansion response, the distribution of the stress components around the cavity, and the stress path of the soil during cavity expansion. The results reveal that the expansion pressures and the distribution of the stress components in unsaturated soils are generally higher than those in saturated soils due to the existence of suction.

Currently, self-driving vehicles are on the verge of commercialization after testing. However, even though autonomous vehicles have not been fully commercialized, 81 accidents have occurred, and the driving method of vehicles to avoid accidents relies heavily on LiDAR. In order for the currently commercialized 3-level autonomous vehicle to develop into a 4-level autonomous vehicle, more information must be collected than previously collected information. Therefore, this paper proposes a Driving Situation Judgment System (DSJS) that accurately calculates the crisis situation the vehicle is in by useing the roughness of the road and the state of the passengers of surrounding vehicles including road information and weather information collected from existing autonomous vehicles. As a result of DSJS's PDM experiment, PDM was able to classify passengers 15.52% more accurately on average than the existing vehicle's passenger recognition system. This study can be a basic research to achieve the 4th level autonomous vehicle by collecting more various types than the data collected by the existing 3rd level autonomous vehicle.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of acupuncture in treating prehypertension and stage 1 hypertension in postmenopausal women. Methods : The study was a multi-center, four-arm, non-blinded, randomized clinical trial. Sixty participants were randomly assigned to experimental or control groups. The experimental groups received 10 acupuncture sessions over 4 weeks(Group A, n=20) or 20 sessions over 8 weeks(Group B, n=20) along with usual care. The acupoints were GB20, LI11, ST36, and SP6, bilaterally. The acupuncture groups were followed-up for an additional 12 weeks after acupuncture treatment. The control groups received usual care for 16 weeks(Group C, n=10) or 20 weeks(Group D, n=10). The outcomes were blood pressure, blood pressure control rates, lipid profile, and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP). Results : After 4 weeks, DBP in the acupuncture groups(A+B) showed no significant decrease compared to the control group(C+D). However, after 8 weeks of acupuncture treatment, group B showed a significant decrease in DBP after acupuncture treatment and follow-up period compared to control group. Although there was no difference between the acupuncture and control groups in SBP after acupuncture treatment, group B showed a significant decrease in SBP compared to control group after follow-up period. Lipid profiles and hs-CRP did not differ significantly between acupuncture and control groups. Conclusions : Acupuncture treatment for 8 weeks showed the effect on prehypertension and mild hypertension. To verify the effect of acupuncture on blood pressure, rigorous trials including more participants are required.
