A novel a-Si TFT integrated gate driver circuit using multi-thread driving has been developed. The circuit consists of two independent shift registers alternating between the two modes, "wake" and "sleep". The degradation of the circuit is retarded because the bias stress is removed during the sleep mode. It has been successfully integrated in 14.1-in. XGA LCD Panel, showing enhanced stability.

Bisphenol A(BPA). a monomer used in the manufacturing epoxy resins and polycarbonates. has been reported to induce estrogenic activity, it has been considered as an environmental endocrine disruptor. But the immunomodulatory effects of BPA exposure have not been systemically evaluated. We investigated whether BPA effects on the ability of immunoglobulin(lg) production of mice. To initiate investigation of BPA-induced alterations of the immune system. BPA at dose of 100. 500,1000 mg/kg b.w./day with or without OVA-antigen for 30 days were orally administered to female ICR mice. Mice were sacrificed and serum was colleted on day 2 following administration of BPA for 30days. Total lgG1. total lgG2a. total lgE. OVA-specific lgG1. OVA-specific lgG2a. and OVA-specific lgE in serum were detetmined and compared with those of non-treated mice. In the groups of BPA with OVA antigen, total 1gG1, total lgG2a, total lgE. OVA-specific lgG1 and OVA-specific lgG2a were significantly decreased at dose of 500mg/kg/day. However, in mice treated with BPA alone, total lgG1, and lgG2 were not much altered and total lgE was significantly increased at dose of 1000mg/kg/day. These results demonstrated the BPA modulates the production of immunoglobulin.

We applied the Atmospheric Pressure Plasma (AP-plasma) to the MgO film to try to control the Aging-time on the PDP production-line. The MgO film surface and the discharge characteristics of AC-PDPs were investigated, using the plasma-treated MgO film. The Aging-time change can be achieved by treating the MgO film with plasma. This method can be adapted to the mass production-line.

A novel microorganism, designated as LG12, was isolated from soil based on its ability to use acrylic acid as the sole carbon source. An electron microscopic analysis of its morphological characteristics and phylogenetic classification by 16S rRNA homology showed that the LG12 strain belongs to Rhodococcus erythropolis. R. erythropolis LG12 was able to metabolize a high concentration of acrylic acid (up to 40 g/l). In addition, R. erythropolis LG12 exhibited the highest acrylic acid-degrading activity among the tested microorganisms, including R. rhodochrous, R. equi, R. rubber, Candida rugosa, and Bacillus cereus. The effect of the culture conditions of R. erythropo/is LG12 on the production of 3-hydroxypropionic acid (3HP) from acrylic acid was also examined. To enhance the production of 3HP, acrylic acid-assimilating activity was induced by adding 1 mM acrylic acid to the culture medium when the cell density reached an $OD_{600}$ of 5. Further cultivation of R. erythropo/is LG 12 with 40 g/l of acrylic acid resulted in the production of 17.5 g/l of 3HP with a molar conversion yield of 44% and productivity of 0.22 g/l/h at $30^{\circ}C$ after 72 h.

For regional earthquakes in the Korean Peninsula, the seismic Lg waves have the largest amplitude. Our researches in South Korea found that more reasonable low ${Q_{Lg}}^{-1}$ was obtained as the inter-station distances increase. The other methods such as coda normalization method and multiple lapse time window method also produced that the low ${Q_{Lg}}^{-1}$ is related to the values of seismically inactive region.

The therapeutic activity of LB20304a was examined on experimental respiratory tract infection (RTI) caused by Klebsiella pneumoniae DT-S in mice. A single oral dose of LB 20304a (1.2mg/mouse) showed a rapid bacteriocidal activity in lung tissue at 4,7 and 24h after administration of drug. The in vivo activity of LB20304a was comparable to that of ciprofloxacin against K. pneumoniae infection, although in vitro MIC of LB20304a was four-fold higher than that of ciprofloxacin.

A 2.2" QVGA($320{\times}240$) 262,114 color AMOLED module has been developed using digital driving methodology. In this paper, we discuss the development of diver IC which is applied to Digital AMOLED module. Technologies for low cost IC structure and image quality enhancement are presented.
