Since a severe accident, which happens in low frequency, can cause serious damages, the interests in off-site consequence analysis for a nuclear power plant have been increased after Chernobyl, TMI and Fukushima accidents. Consequences, which are the effects on health and environment caused by released radioisotopes, are evaluated using MACCS II code based on the method of Level 3 PSA. To perform a consequence analysis for the reference plants, the input data of the code were generated such as meteorological data, population distribution, release fractions, and so on. Using these input data, acute and lifetime dose as an organ, CCDF for early fatalities and latent cancer fatalities, and average individual risk were analyzed by using MACCS II code in this study. These results might contribute to establishing accident management plan and quantitative health object.
Objectives: To propose the basic data for the development of the optimum health promotion program (HPP) for the workers in a petrochemical industry complex. Methods: The subjects were 553 workers who worked at the six plants in a petrochemical industry complex. From February to March 2003, questionnaire survey was conducted by the nurses with occupational health specialty about the life styles, interests, self-cognitions, practices of health behavior, subjective symptoms thought to be related the working environments, burden to the own health, needs and intentions to participation of the HPP. Data analysis was done using SPSS program (ver 10.0) with ${\alpha}=0.05$ of statistical significance. Results: The mean age and tenure of the subjects were 39.7 years and 14.2 years, respectively, and proportion of smokers was around 50%. Two of third (66%) satisfied their own job, and 58% recognized themselves healthy. The most frequent health behavior were exercise (60%) and regular health check (87%) in individual and job based, respectively. About half of them (58%) had at least one of the symptoms thought to be related the working environments, and the most frequent one was odor (21%). These symptoms were more frequent in case of the shorter career. The needs of HPP was relatively higher in exercise (66%), cancer prevention (51%), stress control (47%), and intention to participation was also the highest in exercise (64%). Job satisfaction was higher in case of the higher interests and cognitions to their own health, and thought that the ownership's interest to workers' health be high (p<0.01), but no associations with the subjective symptoms. The mean level of burden to the own health were $14.1{\pm}13.9$ of physical, $11.7{\pm}13.6$ of emotional, $9.1{\pm}10.7$ of behavioral as out of one hundred. They felt the more burden in case of office workers, the lower interests and cognitions to their own health, the lower satisfaction to their job, the frequent drinking group, and complained the subjective symptoms (p<0.05). Abnormal results of the regular health check was higher in the frequent drinking group (p=0.083). Conclusions: For the optimum HPP for the workers in the petrochemical complex, the ownership's interest to workers' health would be enhanced, and the priority would be focused on exercise and drinking habits control.
Purpose - The field of online videos has seen rapid changes in information and communications technology (ICT) development. Despite active academic research on the use of online platforms, few studies have analyzed the relative importance among the factors determined. In this study, the relative importance of factors found in previous studies was identified for users of online video platforms in China and Korea. Through this, factors that should be considered first in research on online video use were derived. In addition, the quality level of online video platforms currently used in China and Korea was measured and used for analysis. The analysis results can provide information for companies to enter Chinese and Korean markets and also be useful to platform providers aiming to increase usage. Design/methodology - Among the factors of Online Video Usage identified in previous studies, 13 factors to be studied were selected through focus group interviews and hierarchized into 2 layers. For the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), each factor was designed as a pairwise comparison questionnaire. The survey included questions on the quality of online video platform currently in use. Data collection was conducted on 16 platforms in China and 11 platforms in Korea, and the relative importance of factors and user perspectives was compared and analyzed using importance performance analysis (IPA). In the analytical process, platforms were divided into over-the-top (OTT) group and Creator group according to the weight of user-generated content, and data analysis focused on these groups. Findings - As a result of AHP, China and Korea showed both "Fun" and "Interests" factors at the top, while the importance of the Entertainment factor "Vicarious satisfaction" was very different for China and Korea. "Relationship with content creators" was the most important factor in China, but it ranked the lowest in Korea. The IPA showed that the factors with high importance and performance were fun, interests, and easy accessibility for both China and Korea. In contrast, the factors that showed low performance compared to high importance in China were relationship with content creators, relationship with acquaintances/friends, and trustworthiness. As for Korea, vicarious satisfaction was observed; thus, this study has raised the need for academic and industrial interest in vicarious satisfaction. The results show that fun, interests, vicarious satisfaction, and easy accessibility of the platform are factors that must be included in further studies on online videos. Originality/value - Existing studies related to the use of online platforms have derived factors or focused on the influence relationship between factors and performance. However, few studies have analyzed the relative importance among the determined factors. This paper explores factors to be considered in future studies by deriving the relative importance between these factors from the perspective of users in China and Korea.

The protection of frontal seat passengers in both driver and front seated occupant has been more focused from the auto industries as well as regulatory bodies more than 40 years. Recently, their interests have been extended to rear seat occupants especially children and female occupants. However, the current available safety devices for the rear seat occupants are seat belt only. According to the previous researchers, the injury level of the rear seat passengers tend to be higher than the injury level of the frontal seat passengers. In this study, the optimal location of seat belts anchorages to enhance rear passengers crashworthiness are studied. FEM models are designed in accordance with regulation of KMVSS102, UN R44, UN R16, and UN R14. and three point belts are fitted on the HybridIII 5th percentile dummy and HybridIII 50th percentile dummy. The combined injury value used HIC15, Nij, Chest deflection, Femur force are used to evaluate rear seat belt anchorage optimal locations.
There are lots of efforts to get more and more higher level of reliability, maintainability, availability, and safety in all the railway system development process. To do a RAMS activity and process very effectively, many an information is required based on operational knowledge and manufacturer's engineering technology together. But some interests between organization in demand sector and manufacturers in supply makes it difficult to do. This paper, for this reason, presents an idea about the activities and process for SR001 system, which is newly under developing and manufacturing by SMRT. Especially, we provide it with some idea how to integrate every activity and process and to analyze it specifically for system level as well. With these efforts, we provide a typical RAMS process of SR001 that could be applicable to other rolling stock system and the improvement of the system over total life cycle phases.
The purpose of this study is to understand general perception of utilizing whale resources and preference for implementing whale watching tourism. This article examines perception of whale resources and identifies preferred types of the whale watching program in the feasibility of a whale watching tourism. And also analyzing the causal effect between perception of the whale resources and intention for participating in regarding the types of whale watching tourism. The results of this study showed that there are high interest in protecting and preserving of whale resources and low intention to resume the operation of commercial whale hunting. For utilizing of whale resources, we need to consider developing whale watching tour as ecotourism. The interest and watching for whale resources have a high level of relation with participating intention in whale tourism. Participation of whale tourism will be induced by developing new types of whale tourism to meet the interests for whale resources, This approach is hoped by authors to provide useful data for implementation of whale tour program and establishing improvement plan of whale tourism.
As the value of living a complete life has spread, the importance of elderly education as a part of continuing education is ever increasing. As much as the bodily health, the activity to prevent dementia or healthy brain is being emphasized, the math utilizing traditional material was suggested to devise the curriculum appropriate for the emotional/cognitive level of the elderly. This could induce interests of the elderly, and ultimately improved the concept of self-consciousness and self-esteem. Also, a plan for effective application of such 'silver math' should be prepared, and the execution of a fusion study for a medical approach of its effects is proposed.
Federal Information Security Management Act emphasizes the importance of information security to the economic and national security interests of the United States. This paper provides a brief review on FISMA which is a United States federal law enacted in 2002 as Title III of the E-Government Act of 2002, and predicts the possible problems which might be caused from domestic introduction of FISMA. The domestic introduction of FISMA could improve the average level of information security of government agencies. Whereas, the government agencies and the government officials might face with many problems such as the increased government budget, lack of social awareness and security professionals, and the effectiveness of penalty on non-compliance.
This study investigated the news report tendency and frame by three major Korean television networks(KBS, MBC, and SBS) in their news reports on issues involving their own interests and considering in social level. The three issues chosen for this study are 'advertising regulations for total amount', 'the reallocation of 700MHz spectrum' and 'raising TV license fee'(this issue applicable only to KBS). By using content analysis method, this study identified extremely weighted tendency toward themselves by the network television channels. They have used highly biased tone and sources to reinforce their private interests in news reports about the three controversial issues. In terms of story content, the news reports have used attribution of responsibility frame dominantly in 'advertising regulations for total amount' issue, whereas the moral frame was dominant in the other two issues.
