The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of leisure facilities and to examine residents' needs for leisure facilities in apartment complex. The questionnaire survey and content analysis were used. The Data for content analysis were 476 site plans, and the subjects of questionnaire survey were 673 residents lilving in 35 apartment complex. Frequency, Percentage, and mean, ANOVA-A, x^{2}-test, and multiple regression were used for data analysis. The major results were as follows. 1) Facilities for children play, and senior, sports facilities, community center, green area, and resting place were included in leisure facilities in apartment complex. These facilities were different according to complex site and built-period. 2)The degree of satisfaction of leisure facilities was lower than neutral. The satisfaction of leisure facilities related with diversity of leisure facilities and program, and poor environment. 3) Subjects needed the facilities recommended in housing act including diverse leisure facilities such as sports center and resident's self government facilities. And they needed divers facilities for sports. 4) In terms of location, they needed leisure facilities which was closer to their house.

Malling culture, which refers to the enjoyment of shopping in multi-complex malls with shopping, cultural, and leisure facilities, has emerged as a major trend in society. However, few studies have researched malling culture in depth. This study classified people who go to multi-complex shopping malls as belonging to the baby-boom generation, X-generation, or Y-generation to investigate consumer culture in malls, with an emphasis on user satisfaction and entertainment experiences. Consumers who had shopped in a multi-complex shopping mall during the last 6 months were surveyed. Data were collected through a research company, and responses from 417 subjects were used in the analysis. Among the 417 subjects, 130 were baby-boomers, 136 were from the X-generation, and 151 were from the Y-generation. Investigating the components of multi-complex shopping malls that stimulate entertainment experiences, this study found that exploratory, emotional, and leisure experiences were enhanced when users were more satisfied with the image, atmosphere, and events of shopping malls. In addition, mall image and atmosphere contributed to the improvement of social experiences. With regard to generation, baby-boomers and subjects from the X-generation were generally more satisfied with mall atmosphere, image, and events and had more exploratory and leisure experiences. This study holds significance in that it examined malling culture from a wider perspective than simply the younger generation and presented scholarly and marketing implications based on insights into generational malling culture.
Marina and marina clubs are the essential structures to meet increasing marin tourism and marin leisure sports demand. According to the domestic situation, marina and marina clubs are divided into 6 types such as small sports type, small complex type, midium sports type, midium complex type, large sports type, large complex type. As a result of analysis of domestic three marina clubs, averagely marina facilities take 21% and commercial facilities take 79% of total space. In the short term, marina club should be designed focusing on complex program. Marina club will be for long-term transformed into marin leisure sports program. Additionally, it is certain that floating marina club is an architecture to have water-friendly space and to maximize marin tourism and marin leisure sports.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of leisure behavior and preference for leisure environment of the five-day workweek company employees according to gender for developing leisure facilities in residential community planning. The questionnaire survey was used. The subjects of questionnaire survey were 338 staffs of 7 companies, who were living in apartment complex. The questionnaire consisted of way of life about leisure, leisure necessity, actual condition and need of leisure spaces, and leisure satisfaction. Frequency, percentage, and mean, ${\chi}2-test$, t-test, and factor analysis were used for data analysis. The major results were as follows. 1) In terms of leisure time in weekend, the available leisure time distribution, and leisure cost, there were not difference between men and women. 2) After five-day workweek, the men and women showed to increase their leisure activities and to engage in diverse forms of leisure. Also, they showed an increased desired ratios in participating in each leisure activities. 3) Leisure was necessary to strengthen the unity of family and cultivate the sentiment. 4) Even though current main area for leisure were in their house, men were likely to change them from in the house to around and near their house. And they needed leisure facilities which was closer to their house. 5) The degree of satisfaction of leisure facilities in residential environment was low and there were not difference between men and women. This result implicated to improve and develope leisure space and facilities near the residental environment for promoting leisure behavior of both women and men. In particular it is necessity to create the good atmosphere of leisure facilities for women.
Being able to enjoy leisure time for adolescents is a necessary activity, for it helps them relieve their anxiety and stress and develop their potential. It is necessary to incorporate such spaces in the housing plans in advance and support diverse community activities. The current living spaces do not hold proper spaces and facilities for community activities appropriate for adolescents. Community facilities should be planned so as to reflect the needs of these adolescents, based on a clear survey in advance. The current study has conducted a survey to find out about the level of satisfaction and requests from adolescents on the leisure facilities their current living spaces hold. Based on this prior research, this study looks for solutions that could solve the issue at hand. The current community facilities are not convenient to support a diversity of leisure activities to the adolescents. The community facilities should be able to supplement information on the various activities put in place for the youth and widely supply the programs in demand. Furthermore, the adolescents wanted to form their own community within the facilities to practice their leisurely activities. We can safely assume that the youth's desire for more community amenities will increase for their own development.
Recently, by fast industralization and development without environmental concern, our environment deterioration have being continued rapidly. Therefore, many species is placed on crisis of extinction or was already extincted by habitat destruction. In Minjujisan area, there is a plan to construct the Sport and Leisure Complex by which convert the forest conservancy district to the district of development promotion and district of sighseeing and leisure by Yongdong District. To investigate the avifauna impacts by habitat destruction, bird censuses was carried out before the Sport and Leisure Complex be construct in Minjujisan and Sokgisan area during 4-5 May, 1992 and 16-21 June, 1992. Total 229 birds of 41 species in 23 family of 9 orders were recorded during censuses. Sitta europaea amurensis was the most abundant species and Parus ater amurensis, Phylloscopus borealis xanthodryas, Parus major wladiwostokensis, Parus palustris hellmayri, and Turdus pallidus were dominant species. Accipiter nisus nisosimilis, Accipiter soloenis, and Otus scops stictonotus were found out to the natural monuments in this suvey. Halcyon pileate was observed to a rare bird in this surveyed area. Species diversity of this census was 3.381 which showed slightly higher degree than other surveyed area. The area of Minjujisan, Sokgipong, and Samdopong which have little pollution agent around there and kept away from mankind were approved the heavy avifauna area which have so many bird species. Biogeographically, the Taebaek Mountains was connected with the Sobaek Mountains through this area, therefore it was significant that many animal species could be move to each mountains ranges. The construction plan of the Sport and Leisure Complex in Minjujisan area should be restrain with concern about environmentally destruction by the Muju Resort in Dokyusan National Park which connected to that area have master plan to development the ski slopes for the 1997 Universiad with permission by the Ministry of Environment.
According to the rapid changes in our society and lifestyles, the methods of spending leisure time are being diversified and the facilities for leisure activities are growing as multi-purposed complexes. Purpose of this study was to figure out the design changes of lodging facility interiors in resort complexes which had been influenced by socio-economic conditions after the year 2000, and to provide fundamental references for planning pleasant and differentiated resort accommodations. To accomplish this purpose, the recent tendency of making complex resort facilities was examined and the changes in the properties of lodging facility design since the year 2000 was analyzed. The result shows that the surface areas of guestroom units have been enlarged, and the composition of floor plans has been diversified into various types. Also the number of bathrooms and built-in furniture units has been increased. For the design properties, concepts and themes for guestroom design has been diversified by applying unique color schemes and design elements. The characteristics of lodging facility design in domestic resort complex have been developed to reflect social trends and customer needs. Nevertheless, to deal with changing culture of leisure life, continuous study on resort facilities and various types of lodging facility is required.
As the modern-day Apartment Complex has varied community facilities such as health care center and self-improvement institutions affecting the residents' quality of life, this paper is for the in-depth understanding on how such Exterior Space vary and development plan should go. To be specific, this paper is to, based upon the theoretical contemplation on the concept and role of the Exterior Space to Apartment Complex, as well as drawing a conclusion on the development plan for subject areas as assessed. Subject areas of this paper are a total of twelve Apartment Complexes built since Year 2005 in nine different regions in Seoul. As such specialties and features as leisure of the senior citizen and female residents, the subject Apartment Complexes have provided opportunities, active and inactive, to the residents for leisure by qualitative improvement of facilities, as well as establishing the discrete brand value for the Exterior Space with featured design and spatial properties. Also notable is the eco-friendliness of the Exterior Space with cutting-edge technology, eventually appreciating the value of Apartment Complex.
