The Importance of Fog prediction at the Incheon Int'l Airport through flight delay and cancel statistics (인천국제공항에서의 운항을 통해서 살펴본 안개예측의 중요성)

  • According to the aviational definition, the fog is an obscuration phenomenon when prevailing visibility becomes less than 1,000m. Fog defined above causes so many aviation traffic problems like detour, flight delay and cancel. Therefore this study investigated quantitatively the fog effects on flight operation using flight delay and cancel statistic data during last four years from 1st Jul. 2001 to 30th Jun. 2005 at the Incheon Int'l Airport. The results of this study show that the hazardous meteorological condition is a important cause of flight delay and cancel, especially fog phenomenon. And it is expected that the results of this study give us the necessary and importance of fog prediction at the Incheon Int'l Airport.

Genetic Distance Methods for the Identification of Cervus Species

  • Objectives : This study was performed to determine if unknown species of antler samples could be identified by genetic distance methods. Methods : The DNAs of 4 antler samples were extracted, amplified by PCR, and sequenced. The DNAs of antlers were identified by genetic distance. Genetic distance method was made using MEGA software (Molecular Evolutionary Genetics Analysis, 3.1). Results : By genetic distance methods, all 4 antler samples were closest to Cervus elaphus nelsoni among Cervus species. Conclusion : These results suggest that genetic distance methods might be used as a tool for the identification of Cervus species.

  • This paper is estimation of structure damage caused by VCE(Vapor Cloud Explosion) in enclosure. As we estimate the influence of damage which occur at gas facility in factory. We can utilize it the elementary data of safety distance. In this study, the influence of explosion over-pressure caused by VCE in enclosure was calculated by using the Hopkinson's scaling law and the accident damage was estimated by applying the influence on the adjacent structure into the probit model. As a result of the damage estimation conducted by using the probit model, both the damage possibility of explosion overpressure to structures 20 meters away and that of overpressure to glass bursting 80m meters away showed nothing.

  • In order to evaluate a health effect of air pollution, we designed exposure group (taxi driver, street sweeper, street trader,) and non -exposure group (office clerk). We analysed exposure and biologic marker by using personal sampler. Mean NO$_2$ and benzene level in each group were statistically significant. Also, respiratory symptom, chronic cough, sputum, and dyspnea on exertion were statistically significant in each group.

  • 본 연구는 경상남도 창원시 삼각점의 GPS 데이터를 활용하여 오차수준 및 지역적인 특성 등을 종합적으로 분석하여 봄으로써 향후 지적세부측량을 위한 지적기준점측량 수행 시 보다 정확한 성과가 산출될 수 있는 방안을 모색하여 보고자 하였다. 연구결과, 토지조사사업 당시 설치된 삼각점의 경우 삼각점 자체의 자연적 인위적 이동이 없을 경우 대부분 삼각점의 성과가 안정적으로 나타나므로 지적기준점 성과결정시 기지점으로 사용할 삼각점은 토지조사 당시 설치된 삼각점을 우선적으로 선정하여야 할 것으로 판단되었다. 또한 본 연구결과에서 안정적인 성과로 제시된 삼각점을 기준으로 하여 지적기준점의 성과를 결정할 경우 향후 지적기준점이 망실되어 재설치 하더라도 항상 동일한 측량성과를 유지 관리할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

  • This paper is estimation of structure damage caused by Explosion in LPG(Liquefied Petroleum Gas) filling station. As we estimate the influence of damage which occur at gas storage tank in filling station. We can utilize the elementary data of safety distance. In this study, the influence of over-pressure caused by VCE(Vapor Cloud Explosion) in filling station was calculated by using the Hopkinson's scaling law and the accident damage was estimated by applying the influence on the adjacent structure into the probit model. As a result of the damage estimation conducted by using the probit model, both the damage possibility of explosion overpressure to structures of max 265 meters away and to glass bursting of 1150 meters away was nearly zero in open space explosion.

  • We demonstrate fluorescent green organic lightemitting diodes employing a rhenium oxide ($ReO_3$)-doped N,N-diphenyl-N,N'-bis(1,1'-biphenyl)-4,4'-diamine (NPB) hole transporting layer (HTL). The devices exhibit significantly reduced driving voltages as well as prolonged lifetime. Details of $ReO_3$ doping effects are described in terms of charge transfer complex and stabilization of HTL morphology.

  • This paper analyzes supply interruption cost for out industrial customer through data survey. And then we calculate SCDF using data survey. To decide the optimal SCDF, we decide regression function using AHP. Therefore we decide suitable SCDF of our industrial customer.
