Inkjet printing technology is a highly proprietary process. We have evaluated the possibility of using inkjet technique to prepare color filters. Product specification for TV application was used as a template to examine process capability. Technical aspects of ink composition, jetting ability, and surface interaction were discussed.

There have been various efforts to achieve a better PDP TV, which have low power consumption, high image quality and low price. As the results, the power consumption of LG's new 42 inch HD PDP could be lower than 42 inch LCD under the general movie display load condition. And the address discharge time lag of ${\sim}1\;{\mu}s$ for 42 and 50 inch XGA single scan by which the cost can be reduced and image quality can be improved was achieved by using new MgO material and driving waveform. In addition, we have suggested TCA (Triangular Color pixel Arrangement) cell structure for realizing the full HDTV of 60inch diagonal size, which has $1920{\times}1080$ resolution. The luminous efficiency of the suggested TCA structure has been increased about 40% compared with that of the conventional cell structure.

As giving IP on electric home appliance like as TV, Air-conditioner, etc., with the development of electric products and home networking, it has been possible to communicate through the Internet. In this paper, we proposed and developed the system which is possible to control the commercial vending machine using embeded internet card through internet. We implemented the basic circuit and application program for TCP/IP communication program by Java applet.

In this paper, we propose a method for automatic generation of equivalent circuit for unit cell of LCDTV. In order to extract a circuit model, computer program generates electrical connectivity of resistors and capacitors from the layout through pattern analysis with electrode and port information. For combining two types of independent equivalent circuits, we propose a node insertion algorithm. As a consequence, we can generate an equivalent RC circuit without increasing the capacitive elements.

The WV film successfully enlarged the field of view of the TN mode and made TN popular for larger size applications such as PC monitors. The hybrid alignment of the PDM (polymerized discotic material) layer is also suited for the OCB mode, which is promising as a nextgeneration LCD-TV because of fast panel response and a wide viewing angle. This paper describes recent technological progress in WV films, especially for OCB.

We review discharge characteristics of fluorescent lamps having noncircular cross sections. The developmental and theoretical history of noncircular cross-section lamps is summarized chronologically. In particular, discharge characteristics of noncircular cross-section lamps will be summarized and analyzed including plasma contraction, electron temperature, and ambipolar diffusion loss, which might give us some insights into the way to develop more efficient and uniform flat fluorescent lamps, which have recently arisen as a new light source of large-size backlight units for LCD TV applications.

TTA(한국정보통신기술협회)는 2003년 4월 30일 ㈜엠시스(http://www.msys.tv)의 MPEG Player(모델명 : MSY200)의 기능 및 성능시험을 수행하여 TTA Verified 인증서(번호 : TTA-V-B-03-001)을 발급하였다. 위의 장비는 MPEG Player의 기본 기능인 Play, Record 외에 스트림 정보를 전면 LCD 창을 통해 확인할 수 있는 기능을 제공하며, 4개의 독자적인 물리채널 운용으로 Play, Record 등의 기능을 4 채널에서 동시에 독립적으로 동작시키는 것이 가능하고, 국제기준 PCR 정확도 및 균일 출력 비트율을 만족하였으며, 장시간 사용 동작 시험에서도 양호한 동작상태를 보장할 수 있는 성능을 나타내었다.

Amorphous diamond has a very low work function (1 eV) at modest temperature ($150^{\circ}C$). It has been coat coated on electron emitting electrodes. Such electrodes are used for cold cathode fluorescence lamps (CCFL) that illuminate liquid crystal displays (LCD) for rnote books and television sets. Amorphous diamond can dramatically reduce the turn-on voltage to lit CCFL so the lamp life can be greatly extended. Moreover, the electrical current can be increased to enhance the brightness of the light.
