뉴시니어 소비자의 로하스(LOHAS) 성향이 친환경 식자재 태도 및 구매에 미치는 영향 연구 (The Effect of the LOHAS Tendency on the Attitude and Purchase Intention for Environmental-Friendly Food Materials: From the Perspective of New Seniors)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the LOHAS tendency of new seniors' and its effects on the attitude and purchase intention for environmental-friendly food materials. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey from random sample of 162 senior customers in Seoul and Kyunggi area. The LOHAS tendency of new seniors can be divided into three factors; environmental-friendly, sustainability and sociality. Environmental problems affected the environmental-friendly factor the most while manufacturing techniques for sustainable products and recycling habits were key variables for the sustainability factor. The idea of companies sharing their value system of LOHAS tendency was the most significant for the sociality factor. Each of these LOHAS tendency factors influenced the purchase intention of the new seniors.

Comparison of foodservice management performance level between dietitians and non-dietitians in senior centers using IPA

  • This study investigated the management importance and performance level of foodservice managers at senior centers. Using the survey, perceived importance and performance levels of seven foodservice management areas were evaluated and analyzed. Data showed the foodservice facilities were being managed by dietitians (61.6%) or non-dietitians (38.9%). The result indicated that overall importance level (3.43) was higher than performance level (3.02) (p<.01). As of the IPA result, dietitians and non-dietitians had different perspectives in terms of managing the eight categories of foodservice areas. The differences in the IPA results between the two groups may reflect bias attributable to the respondents' degrees of knowledge and professional preparation. The research findings could enhance our understanding of importance of hiring professional dietitians to operate foodservice at senior centers and find out which management area should be concentrated for more effective foodservice management.

식품안전사고시 기업의 사회적 책임활동이 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Corporate Social Responsibility in Food Incidents)

  • 본 연구는 서울지역에 위치한 대학생들을 대상으로 식품기업의 위기상황에서 기업의 사회적 책임활동에 대한 소비자의 인지가 기업이미지 및 재구매 의도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 수행되었다. 식품기업 N사를 분석사례로 선정하고 실제사건을 인용한 설문지를 사용하여 대학생 235명을 대상으로 기업의 사회적 책임활동을 인지하기 전과 후의 기업이미지와 재구매 의도에 대한 변화를 측정하고 통계분석을 실시하였다. 사회적 책임활동에 대해 인지하기 전과 후의 기업이미지를 측정한 8문항과 재구매 의도를 측정한 5문항에 대한 대응표본 T검증을 실시한 결과, 기업이미지에 관한 8문항 모두 유의수준이 0.05보다 작게 나타나 통계적으로 유의함을 확인하였다. 이로써 기업의 사회적 책임활동에 대한 소비자의 인지가 식품기업의 위기상황에서 기업이미지를 긍정적으로 변화시킬 수 있다는 결론을 채택하였다. 같은 방법으로 재구매 의도에 관한 변화를 측정하고 분석한 결과, 제품의 만족과 관련된 문항을 제외하고는 모두 유의수준이 0.05보다 작게 나타나 통계적으로 유의함을 확인하였다. 따라서, 본 연구는 향후 식품안전사고의 발생, 즉 식품기업의 위기상황에서 소비자들에게 기업이 실시하고 있는 사회적 책임활동을 인지시키는 것이 기업이미지와 재구매 의도를 긍정적으로 변화시키는데 기여할 수 있다는 주장의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이며, 앞으로도 기업의 사회적 책임활동이 기업의 위기상황에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대한 다양한 측면에서의 연구가 필요하다고 사료된다.

Comparison of students' foodservice satisfaction between Korea and US

  • This study analyzes important factors of foodservice in school through comparison of students' satisfaction of using foodservice in Korea and US in order to meet students' expectations. The survey was composed of 4 categories including menu, service, hygiene, and facility and it was carried out in both countries to evaluate satisfaction. First, comparison of satisfaction between two countries was made using t-test. Secondly, multiple regression was performed to identify factors affecting satisfaction. As a result Korean students were more satisfied than American students in all aspects. However, regardless of nationality, the top three factors affecting the students' satisfaction were the same. The predictors were food taste (Korean 0.375 and American 0.350), menu variety (Korean 0.305 and American 0.278), and service line (Korean 0.226 and American 0.192). Despite the similarity of the predicators, it can be concluded that the difference in satisfaction level between the two nationscan be explained by the approaches to create comfortable and acceptable changes in schools' foodservice. Korea has been increasing the foodservice quality based on their objectives to provide students comfortable and positive environment when eating nutritious meals. However, US have made their main objectives on making changes to decrease youth obesity. Foodservice improvements according to continuous evaluations and surveys are necessary in order to increase students' satisfaction.

층류 동축류 제트 부상화염에서 부력에 의한 자기진동과 루이스 수에 의한 자기진동 비교에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Comparison between Buoyancy Driven and Lewis Number Induced Self-excitations in Laminar Lifted Coflow-jet Flames)

  • Experimental study in laminar propane coflow jet flames has been conducted to investigate self-excitations. For various propane mole fractions and jet velocities, two types of self-excitation were observed: (1) buoyancydriven self-excitation (hereafter called BDSE) and (2) Lewis-number-induced self-excitation coupled with (1) (hereafter called LCB). The mechanism of Lewis-number-induced self-excitation (hereafter called LISE) is proposed. When the system $Damk\ddot{o}hler$ number was lowered, LISE was shown to be launched. The LISE is closely related to heat loss, such that it can be launched in even helium-diluted methane coflow-jet flame (Lewis number less than unity). Particularly, The LISE becomes significant as the $Damk\ddot{o}hler$ number decreases and heat-loss is excessively large.

Nonlinear vibration of unsymmetrical laminated composite beam on elastic foundation

  • In this paper, nonlinear vibrations of the unsymmetrical laminated composite beam (LCB) on a nonlinear elastic foundation are studied. The governing equation of the problem is derived by using Galerkin method. Two different end conditions are considered: the simple-simple and the clamped-clamped one. The Hamiltonian Approach (HA) method is adopted and applied for solving of the equation of motion. The advantage of the suggested method is that it does not need any linearization of the problem and the obtained approximate solution has a high accuracy. The method is used for frequency calculation. The frequency of the nonlinear system is compared with the frequency of the linear system. The influence of the parameters of the foundation nonlinearity on the frequency of vibration is considered. The differential equation of vibration is solved also numerically. The analytical and numerical results are compared and is concluded that the difference is negligible. In the paper the new method for error estimation of the analytical solution in comparison to the exact one is developed. The method is based on comparison of the calculation energy and the exact energy of the system. For certain numerical data the accuracy of the approximate frequency of vibration is determined by applying of the suggested method of error estimation. Finally, it has been indicated that the proposed Hamiltonian Approach gives enough accurate result.

  • LCB 타블렛과 타블렛 PC 등과 같은 펜-입력 디스플레이는 CAD에서, 특히, 컨셉트 디자인 단계에서 유용하게 사용될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는, 이런 장치들을 대상으로 하는 CAD 시스템에서 사용될 수 있는 직관적인 B-Spline 수정 방법을 제안한다. 컨트롤 포인트를 기반으로 하는 B-Spline 수정 방법과는 달리, 본 논문에서 제안한 방법은 곡선이나 곡면의 최종적인 모양을 결정하는데 사용자의 펜 입력을 이용한다. 이전에 방법에서 컨트롤 포인트나 조작자(manipulator)를 이용했던 것에 비해 원하는 모양을 만들어 가는 데 소요되는 시간을 줄여준다. 이런 과정은 디자인을 하는데 있어서 지금까지는 피할 수 없는 것처럼 여겨져 왔다. 본 논문에서 제시된 방법의 용이성을 검증하기 위하여 여러 명의 디자이너들과 함께 실험을 수행한 결과를 보여준다.

  • 현재 LCB 인버터의 경쟁력을 키우기 위해 인버터 하나로 다수의 램프를 병렬 구동하는 방식이 많이 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 병렬 구동방식 중 Jin Balance와 O2 Micro 방식에 대해 이론적으로 분석하고, 특히 각각의 램프 전류 편차를 일정하게 유지하기 위한 자화 인덕턴스 값의 설계에 대하여 설명하였다. 위의 결과를 이용하여 새로운 전류 평형 방식을 제안하고 수학적으로 분석하였으며, 제안 방식의 정확성을 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증하였다.

층류 동축류 제트 부상화염에서의 자기진동에 관한 연구 (A Study on Self-excitation in Laminar Lifted Coflow-jet Flames)

  • A study on laminar jet flames in coflow air diluted with helium has been conducted to investigate self-excitations for various propane mole fractions and nozzle exit velocities. The stability map was represented as a function of nozzle exit velocity and fuel mole fraction for propane. The results show that two types of self-excitation were observed : (1) buoyancy-driven self-excitation (hereafter called BDSE) and (2) Lewis-number induced-self-excitation coupled with (1) (hereafter called LCB) near extinction limit for 9.4 mm nozzle diameter. It was shown that with 0.95 mm nozzle diameter, Lewis-number-induced self-excitation (hereafter LISE) and BDSE could be separated. The differences between the two self-excitations were shown and discussed.

순차적 설계기법에 의한 DWT 75,000 정유운반선의 선형설계 (Stepwise Hull Form Design of DWT 75,000 Product Oil Carrier)

  • To design the modified hull form with relatively unfavorable dimensions and constraints than the parent ship the stepwise design was applied. In each design step the resistance characteristics was estimated by numerical calculations using CFD programs as Wavis 1.4, Wavis 2.1 and Fluent 12.1. The wave profiles along hull surface by potential flow calculations were investigated to improve wave resistance by modifying the bow shapes. To improve the stern shapes with a point of viscous form resistance the pressure distributions on hull surface and the limiting streamlines are investigated by viscous flow calculations. The design objectives such as shortening the LBP, enlarging the propeller tip clearance, moving forward of the LCB location and increasing the displacement were applied by stepwise to develop the new hull form of DWT 75,000 product oil carrier. Finally a new hull form was developed without the resistance performance loss compared with the parent ship.
