전도성 Langmuir-Blodgett 막 제작을 위한 성막물질의 합성과 막의 누적 (Synthesis of Membrane Forming Material for the Fabrication of Conducting Langmuir-Blodgett Film and Layering the Film.)

  • Langmuir-Blodgett(L.B) method is one of the most possible candidate for the fabrication of the micro scale memory or electrical devices. As for a fundamental study on the conduction mechanism in the organic thin membrane, N-alkyl quinolium-TCNQ complexes were synthesized and their physical properties were examined spectroscopically. LB film was produced by using Moving Wall Type LB Apparatus. The average area per molecule (N-docosylquinolium-TCNQ) was $67.97{\AA}^2$ which is ${\AA}^2$ larger than N-docosyl quinolium-TCNQ.

  • A Stability to the Spreading solvents, Which is acetonitrile, dichloromethane, benzene, chloroform and acetonitrile-benzene(1:1, v/v) of (3-Alkyl benzimidazolium)-TCNQ(1:1) Complex was investigated by UV-visible Spectrometer and was confirmed stabilized on acetonitrile, acetonitrilbenzene(1:1, v/v) for five hours. Using Ultra pure water as subphase for Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) Films, it was achived successively to fabricate the Y-type LB films of (3-Alkyl benzimidazolium)-TCNQ(1:1) Complex. For the identification of deposition of (3-Alkyl benzimidazolium)-TCNQ(1:1) Complex, UV-visible spectra was recorded on HP 8452A spectrometer.

$NO_2$Gas Detection Characteristics of Octa-dodecyloxy Copper-phthalocyanine Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) Films

  • Metallo-phthalocyanines(MPcs) are very sensitive to toxic molecules such as electron affinitive NO2 gas and also chemically and thermally stable since losts of MPcs have been studied for the potential chemcial gas sensors for $NO_2$ using their electrical conductivity. In this study, thin films of octa-dodecyloxy copper -phthalocyanine were prepared by Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) method and characterized by using UV/Vis absorption spectroscopy, and ellipsometry. It was found that the proper transfer surface pressure for the film deposition was 25mN/m and the limiting area per molecule was $112\AA$/molecule. The film thickness of one layer was $64\AA$. Current-voltage(I-V) characteristics of these films were investigated as a function of film thickness.

유기전하 이동착물 Langmuir-Blodgett막의 누적조건 및 누적확인에 관한 연구 (Deposition condition and Confirmation of Organic Charge Transfer complex Langmuir-Blodgett Film)

  • In this research, ultra-thin films of organic charge transfer complex were deposited on to ordinary microscope slide-glass subtrates with a Langmuir-Blodgett technique. ${\pi}$-A isotherm characteristics of these complex were studied in order to find optimum conditions of deposition by varying temperature of subphase, compression speed, and spreading amount. Transfer ratio of these films were studied during the process of deposition. The UV-visible absorbance spectra of LB films were measured to find state of deposition by varing layer number. The observed optimum conditions of surface, pressure, spreading amount, and dipping speed for depositing LB films(Y-type) were 38m/Nm, $150{\mu}l$ and 5mm/min, respectively. Since the tansfer ratio is close to 100%, the monolayer on the subphase seems to be well transferred to the solid substrate. The thickness of the film was well-controlled as the UV-vis absorbance of films were changed linear according to the number of layers.

  • Ultra thin organic films, (3-docosyl benzimidazolium)-TCNQ(1:1)complex, were deposited onto ordinary microscope slide glass substrates with a Langmuir-Blodgett technique. II-A isotherms were studied to find optimum conditions of deposition by varying temperature. Anisotropic de electrical conductivities were measured at room temperature. They are about $5.21{\times}10^{-12}S/cm$ along the direction of film surface, and $(2.73{\sim}4.40){\times}10^{-16}S/cm$ in the vertical direction.

  • 본 논문에서는 Langmuir-Blodgett법으로 유기초박막을 제작하기 위하여 시료인 (N-docosyl pyridinium)-TCNQ(1:2) 작제를 합성하고 이를 초박막으로 제작한 다음, U.V측정, capacitance측정, 그리고 기판과 수직한 방향의 도전율등을 측정하여 막이 잘 이루어지고 있음을 확인하였다. 한편, 하부 전극을 Al로 할 경우 전극표면에 생기는 자연 산화막(Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$)의 두께는 37.1.angs.정도이었으며 기관과 수직한 방향의 도전율은 약 $10^{-14}$S/cm로 양호한 절연성이었다.

  • Electrical properties of both a monolayer at the air/water interface and Langmuir-Blodgett films sandwiched between aluminum electrodes are studied using a current-measuring technique. A change in induced charges on an electrode suspended in the air was measured in combination with the surface area isotherm in the electrical measurement of the monolayer. A change in induced charges on an electrode is measured while heating the sample in the electrical measurement of the LB films. From both measurements, we elucidated that a spontaneous polarization plays very important role in the electrical properties of both a monolayer at the air/water interface and LB films sandwiched between aluminum electrodes.

미리스트산과 스테아르산 혼합 LB막의 안정성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Stability of Langmuir-Blodgett Films Mixed with Myristic Acid and Stearic Acid)

  • 지방산 혼합물 단분자층 LB막의 전기화학적 특성을 통하여 그 안정성을 순환전압전류법으로 조사하였다. 지방산혼합물 LB막은 ITO glass에 LB법을 사용하여 제막하였다. 전기화학적 특성은 0.01N $KClO_4$ 용액에서 3 전극 시스템으로 순환전압전류법에 의해 측정하였다. 측정범위는 연속적으로 1650 mV로 산화시키고, 초기 전위인 -1350 mV로 환원시켰다. 주사속도는 각각 50, 100, 150, 200 및 250 mV/s로 설정하였다. 그 결과 지방산혼합물 LB막은 순환전압전류곡선으로부터 산화전류로 인한 비가역 공정으로 나타났다. 지방산혼합물 LB막은 전해질농도가 0.01 N $NaClO_4$ 용액에서 확산계수(D)는 각각 $7.9{\times}10^{-2}cm^2s^{-1}$을 얻었다.
