In this paper, we investigate the fractional p&q-Kirchhoff type system $$\{M_1([u]^p_{s,p})(-{\Delta})^s_pu+V_1(x){\mid}u{\mid}^{p-2}u\\{\hfill{10}}={\ell}k^{-1}F_u(x,\;u,\;v)+{\lambda}{\alpha}(x){\mid}u{\mid}^{m-2}u,\;x{\in}{\Omega}\\M_2([u]^q_{s,q})(-{\Delta})^s_qv+V_2(x){\mid}v{\mid}^{q-2}v\\{\hfill{10}}={\ell}k^{-1}F_v(x,u,v)+{\mu}{\alpha}(x){\mid}v{\mid}^{m-2}v,\;x{\in}{\Omega},\\u=v=0,\;x{\in}{\partial}{\Omega},$$ where ${\Omega}{\subset}{\mathbb{R}}^N$ is an unbounded domain with smooth boundary ${\partial}{\Omega}$, and $0<s<1<p{\leq}q$ and sq < N, ${\lambda},{\mu}>0$, $1<m{\leq}k<p^*_s$, ${\ell}{\in}R$, while $[u]^t_{s,t}$ denotes the Gagliardo semi-norm given in (1.2) below. $V_1(x)$, $V_2(x)$, $a(x):{\mathbb{R}}^N{\rightarrow}(0,\;{\infty})$ are three positive weights, $M_1$, $M_2$ are continuous and positive functions in ${\mathbb{R}}^+$. Using variational methods, we prove existence of infinitely many high-energy solutions for the above system.

This paper is described about the technique of ultra-precision machining for optical parts in HMD system. Machining technique for PMMA and BK7 with single point diamond turning machining is reported in this paper. The main factors influencing on the machined surface quality are discovered and regularities of machining process are drawn. The purpose of our research is to find the optimum machining conditions fur cutting of PMMA and grinding of BK7. Also, apply the SPDTM technique to the manufacturing of ultra precision optical components of HMD system. Aspheric PMMA lens without a polishing process, the surface roughness of 5 nm Ra, and the form error of ${\lambda}/2\;({\lambda}=632.8nm)$ for reference curved surface 30 mm has been required.

대기행렬 시스템에는 고객들의 대기시간이 지나치게 길어지는 것을 막기 위해 다양한 정책들이 적용되는데, 본 연구에서는 고객숫자에 따른 제어 정책을 갖는 유한용량 M/G/1/K 대기행렬을 분석한다. 고객의 숫자에 따라 서버의 서비스율과 고객의 도착율을 조절하는 정책이다. 두 개의 한계점(thresholds) $L_1$과 $L_2$($${\geq_-}$$L1)를 설정하고 시스템 내 고객의 숫자가 $L_1$보다 작을 때는 시스템은 보통(또는 상대적으로 느린)의 서비스율(service rate)과 보통의 도착율(arrival rate)을 갖는다. 고객의 숫자가 증가하여 $L_1$이상이고 $L_2$보다 작으면 도착율은 그대로 이지만 서비스율을 증가시켜 빠르게 서비스한다. 이후 고객의 숫자가 더욱 증가하여 $L_2$ 이상이면 고객의 도착율도 작은 값으로 바꾸어 고객을 덜 입장시킨다. 위 정책을 갖는 M/G/1/K 대기행렬을 내재점 마코프 체인과 준-마코프 과정을 이용하여 분석하고 수치예제를 제시한다.

A genetic analysis of the complex Bacillus subtilis transcriptional apparatus is essential to understand the function, regulation, and interaction of the transcriptase components during growth and sporulation. This approach in Escherichia coli has uncovered fundamental mechanisms regulating gene expression Cole and Nomura, 1986; Lindahl and Zengel, 1986) and an analysis of the B. subtilis transcriptase will allow comoparison of the E.coli system to another bacterium that has evolved under different selective pressures. To this end we used antibody probes to isolate the alpha, beta, and beta' core subunit genes from a .lambda.gtill expression vector library. To address the question of function ans regulation of the minor sigma factors that confer promoter specifity on the polymerase core (Losick et al., 1986), we used the same approach to isolate the gene for the 37,000 dalton sigma factor, sigma-37.

Porcine transforming growth factor-$\beta$1 (TGF-$\beta$1) was expressed in Escherichia coli using cDNA of TGF-$\beta$1 and glutathione S-transferase (GST) fusion vector pGEX-1$\lambda$T. An ApoI-Tth111I fragment of cDNA which correspond to the amino acid residues from 123 to 390 of the precursor TGF-$\beta$1 was inserted into EcoRI-Tth111I digested pGEM#-l$\lambda$T and the recombined plasmid was named pGET-12. Gene products from the cloned regions of the recombinant plasmids pGET-12 was not detected in soluble fraction of cell free extract but detected in insoluble fraction. The solubilization of insoluble gene product was achieved by the treatment of N-laurylsarcosine. Molecular weight of partially purified proteins determined by electrophoresis was same as expected from cloned fragment. The ELISA test results of the purified proteins showed that immunologically detectable epitope was preserved in recombinant protein.

In this paper, we consider the biharmonic elliptic systems of the form $$\{{\Delta}^2u=F_u(u,v)+{\lambda}{\mid}u{\mid}^{q-2}u,\;x{\in}{\Omega},\\{\Delta}^2v=F_v(u,v)+{\delta}{\mid}v{\mid}^{q-2}v,\;x{\in}{\Omega},\\u=\frac{{\partial}u}{{\partial}n}=0,\; v=\frac{{\partial}v}{{\partial}n}=0,\;x{\in}{\partial}{\Omega},$$, where ${\Omega}{\subset}\mathbb{R}^N$ is a bounded domain with smooth boundary ${\partial}{\Omega}$, ${\Delta}^2$ is the biharmonic operator, $N{\geq}5$, $2{\leq}q$ < $2^*$, $2^*=\frac{2N}{N-4}$ denotes the critical Sobolev exponent, $F{\in}C^1(\mathbb{R}^2,\mathbb{R}^+)$ is homogeneous function of degree $2^*$. By using the variational methods and the Ljusternik-Schnirelmann theory, we obtain multiplicity result of nontrivial solutions under certain hypotheses on ${\lambda}$ and ${\delta}$.

A compact ($0.26{\times}0.05$ ${\lambda}_0$ at 2.27 GHz) metamaterial-based zeroth-order resonant antenna system consisting of epsilon-negative (ENG) and mu-negative (MNG) structures is proposed. Although the spacing between the ENG and MNG antennas is only 0.09 ${\lambda}_0$, the isolation is relatively high (27.6 dB at 2.27 GHz). Furthermore, the envelope correlation is only 0.015. The radiation efficiencies of the proposed two radiators are also very high (90% on average).

In this paper, a miniaturized directional coupler utilizing lumped element is proposed as a interdigital capacitor. The traditional miniaturization technique of transmission line realized a utilizing MIM(Metal-Insulator-Metal) capacitor on CPW(Coplanar Waveguide). However, we present a simplified design procedure without additional manufacturing process utilizing interdigital capacitor on microstrip with ease of design. The similar characteristics between the conventional directional coupler with ${\lambda}/4$ transmission line and the miniaturized directional coupler with ${\lambda}/8$ transmission line are validated through simulation and measurement results. Miniaturization rate of total size is about 25% while coupled line is about 60%. As a result, this proposed directional coupler can reduce the size of mobile communication system at 2 GHz.

A heavy duty hydrogen enriched CNG engine has the possibility to obtain stable operation at ultra lean condition and to reduce emission extremely. And it can also serve as a so called bridge technology between the current fossil fueled engine and the future hydrogen power system. The emission, torque and brake thermal efficiency characteristics of a heavy-duty hydrogen-CNG engine were investigated to determine the proper mixing rate of hydrogen and CNG. It was found that the proper mixing rates at ${\lambda}=1.4$ and ${\lambda}=1.6$ were around 20% and 30% for hydrogen addition rate respectively.

The heavy ion accelerator that will be built in Daejeon utilizes four types of superconducting cavities. Cryomodules holding the superconducting cavities in them supply thermal insulation for cavities operating in 4.3 K or 2.1 K. A Prototype of cryomodule which holds two HWR (Half Wave Resonator) cavities was fabricated and tested. Since the operating temperature of the HWR is 2.1 K, the superfluid helium was generated with warm vacuum pumping system. The cyromodule was successfully cooled down below lambda point temperature of helium and any detectable leak was not observed during the test. The static thermal load at 4.2 K was measured. The result and the experience for the cool-down below lambda point of helium are reported in this paper.
