LNG저장탱크의 지붕 구조물에 관한 최적설계 연구 (Optimized Design of Roof Structure in LNG Storage Tank)

  • 본 논문은 다구찌 설계방법을 이용하여 LNG저장탱크의 지붕 구조물에 대한 최적설계 조건을 확보하기 위해 FEM해석을 수행하였다. 다구찌 설계방법은 저장탱크 구조물의 설계인자에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 파라메터를 고찰하고 최적화하는데 유용한 결과를 제시하였다. 다구찌 설계방법으로 수행된 FEM 해석결과에 따르면, LNG저장탱크 지붕 구조물의 최적설계에 필요한 인자로 지붕 중심부의 두께를 언급하고 있다. 안전하면서 효율적인 지붕을 건설하기 위한 철근 콘크리트 지붕의 초기 구조물 설계는 반경방향의 H빔과 원주방향의 L빔을 가능한 작은 수량으로 배열하고 두꺼운 지붕 구조물을 갖춘 LNG 외부탱크가 최적이라는 해석결과를 제시한다.

Experimental seismic behaviour of L-CFST column to H-beam connections

  • In this study, the seismic performance of the connections between L-shaped columns composed of concrete-filled steel tubes (L-CFST columns) and H-beams used in high-rise steel frame structures was investigated. Seven full-scale specimens were tested under quasi-static cyclic loading. The variables studied in the tests included the joint type, the axial compression ratio, the presence of concrete, the width-to-thickness ratio and the internal extension length of the side plates. The hysteretic response, strength degradation, stiffness degradation, ductility, plastic rotation capacity, energy dissipation capacity and the strain distribution were evaluated at different load cycles. The test results indicated that both the corner and exterior joint specimens failed due to local buckling and crack within the beam flange adjacent to the end of the side plates. However, the failure modes of the interior joint specimens primarily included local buckling and crack at the end plates and curved corners of the beam flange. A design method was proposed for the flexural capacity of the end plate connection in the interior joint. Good agreement was observed between the theoretical and test results of both the yield and ultimate flexural capacity of the end plate connection.

  • 현재 레이다의 발전 형태는 기존의 능동위상배열에서 디지털형 위상배열로 진화하고 있다. 디지털형 위상배열은 수신빔을 자유롭게 구성할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 이를 가능하게 하려면 각각의 복사소자별 수신신호가 디지털화되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이를 위한 디지털 송수신모듈을 설계 및 제작하고 시험결과를 제시하여 가능성을 확인하고자 한다. 디지털 송수신모듈은 4개의 송수신 채널을 포함한 쿼드팩 형태로 구성하였다. 고출력 송신을 위해 각 채널별로 GaN 소재의 고출력증폭소자(HPA)를 사용하였으며, 송신파형 발생과 수신신호 디지털변환을 위해 송수신 집적소자를 적용한 디지털 회로를 적용하였다. 제작한 결과, 각 채널별로 송신출력은 350 W 이상, 수신이득은 47 dB, 수신잡음지수 2 dB 이하를 만족하였다. 또한 모듈 내에서 최종 광신호로 변환된 수신출력을 저장하고, 분석하여 수신 특성을 확인하였다.

Study on the progressive collapse resistance of CP-FBSP connections in L-CFST frame structure

  • When the vertical load-bearing members in high-rise structures fail locally, the beam-column joints play an important role in the redistribution of the internal forces. In this paper, a static laboratory test of three full-scale flush flange beam-reinforced connections with side and cover plates (CP-FBSP connection) with double half-span steel beams and single L-shaped columns composed of concrete-filled steel tubes (L-CFST columns) was conducted. The influence of the side plate width and cover plate thickness on the progressive collapse resistance of the substructure was thoroughly analyzed. The failure mode, vertical force-displacement curves, strain variation, reaction force of the pin support and development of internal force in the section with the assumed plastic hinge were discussed. Then, through the verified finite element model, the corresponding analyses of the thickness and length of the side plates, the connecting length between the steel beam flange and cover plate, and the vertical-force eccentricity were carried out. The results show that the failure of all the specimens occurred through the cracking of the beam flange or the cover plate, and the beam chord rotations measured by the test were all greater than 0.085 rad. Increasing the length, thickness and width of the side plates slightly reduced the progressive collapse resistance of the substructures. The vertical-force eccentricity along the beam length reduced the progressive collapse resistance of the substructure. An increase in the connecting length between the beam flange and cover plate can significantly improve the progressive collapse resistance of substructures.

  • 콘크리트 충전강관에 사용되는 강관의 제작법은 재단된 4장의 플레이트를 모서리에서 용접하는 일반강관 제작법과, ㄷ형으로 절곡성형과정을 거쳐 2-Seam으로 용접하는 제작방법, 그리고 원형강관을 압축하여 4각형태로 만드는 방법등이 일반적으로 사용되며, 강관제작에 사용되는 용접방법과 용접량의 선택은 강관 제작비용에 큰 부분을 차지하고 있다. 새로운 제작형식으로 개발된 각형강관은 4장의 플레이트를 ㄱ형으로 절곡성형한 후 강관 폭의 중앙에서 4-Seam Flare 용접하는 방식이다. 본 연구에서는 새로운 제작형식의 CFT 각형 기둥에 대하여 용접량 평가를 위한 실험방법을 제시하고, 강관 제작법, 강관두께 및 용접량을 변수로 총 6개의 실험체를 제작하여 구조실험 및 해석을 수행하여 강관내부의 수압에 따른 강관의 거동을 평가하였다.

띠 전개범식 안강망어구의 연구 (A Study for Designing the Zonal Canvas Type of Stow Net)

  • 본연구에서는 전개장치를 띠모양의 소형 범포들로 구성하는 띠전개범식 안강망어구를 고안하여 재래의 그들을 이용한 1/3 모형어구 및 그물을 개량한 실물어구를 각각 제작하여 실험하였던 바, 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 재래의 안강망어구의 축척비 1/3인 모형어구의 총저항 R(kg)을 실물로 환산하면 $R=5.6{\times}10^{3}V^{l.5}$ 또는 $R=3.5\frac{d}{l}{\lambda}_b{\lambda}_l\;V^{1.5}$로 주어진다. 단, V 유속(m/sec), d는 그물실의 직경, l은 그물코 다리 한개의 길이, ${\lambda}_b$는 그물아궁이의 뻗친 둘레(m), ${\lambda}_l$은 그물의 뻗친 길이(m)이다. 2. 모형실험에서 망고는 유속에 따라 거의 일정하며 옆줄 길이의 $83\%$ 정도로 유지하였다. 3. 망폭은 유속의 증가에 따라 서서히 감소하여 유속 1m/sec 일 때 모형실험에서는 뜸줄길이의 $90\%$정도, 실물실험에서는 $95\%$정도 유지하였다. 4. 어구조작은 선미식 트롤어선으로 행한 결과 전개장치의 선미경사로 통과가 여의치 않았고 장망시 선미경사로상에서 뜸줄, 발줄 및 옆줄이 뒤로 쳐져 엉키는 현상이 일어났다.

  • Two NbCx-C1-x/Y2O3/Ti sputter-coated Al2O3 substrates (L 5.5 cm$\times$W 0.5 cm) were diffusion bonded together using hot press method at 95$0^{\circ}C$ for 3 hours under 1 MPa of applied pressure. 4 points bending tests were used to evaluate the mechanical performance of these precracked laminate beams. Two types of mechanical responses were observed: crack penetration through the interface for x=0.75, 1 and crack deflection into an interface for x=0.25, 0.5. The Al2O3/NbCx-C1-x/Y2O3/Ti system suggested here has been proves to be effective for the thermokinetical stability and tailorability of the interfaces of Al2O3/Ti composites at 95$0^{\circ}C$.

Automated nonlinear design of reinforced concrete D regions

  • This paper proposes a novel iterative procedure for the design of planar reinforced concrete structures in which the reinforcement is designed for stresses calculated in a nonlinear finite element analysis. The procedure is intended as an alternative to strut and tie modeling for the design of complex structures like deep beams with openings. Practical reinforcement arrangements are achieved by grouping the reinforcement into user defined horizontal and vertical bands. Two alternative strategies are proposed for designing the reinforcement which are designated A and B. Design constraints are specified in terms of permissible stresses and strains in the reinforcement and strains in the concrete. A case study of a deep beam with an opening is presented to illustrate the method. Comparisons are made between design strategies A and B of which B is shown to be most efficient. The resulting reinforcement weights are also shown to compare favorably with those previously reported in the literature.

Frequency, bending and buckling loads of nanobeams with different cross sections

  • The bending, stability (buckling) and vibration response of nano sized beams is presented in this study based on the Eringen's nonlocal elasticity theory in conjunction with the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory. For this purpose, the bending, buckling and vibration problem of Euler-Bernoulli nanobeams are developed and solved on the basis of nonlocal elasticity theory. The effects of various parameters such as nonlocal parameter e0a, length of beam L, mode number n, distributed load q and cross-section on the bending, buckling and vibration behaviors of carbon nanotubes idealized as Euler-Bernoulli nanobeam is investigated. The transverse deflections, maximum transverse deflections, vibrational frequency and buckling load values of carbon nanotubes are given in tables and graphs.

  • The main aim of the present paper is to present the results of a full-scale experimental investigation to study the structural behaviour of composite steel beams. The composite beam was made of cold-formed steel section shapes filled with reinforced concrete. First a comprehensive description of the experimental results in terms of: deflections, deformations, slippage and stress levels on critical steps of the load path is presented. The experimental results were then compared to theoretical values obtained by the use of an analytical model based on ultimate limit state stress blocks. Finally, a practical application of the use of this structural solution is depicted.
