본 연구는 IMO 2020 시행에 따른 국내외 선사의 대응전략을 살펴보고, 선사의 주요 대응방안인 저유황유로 연료를 전환할 경우 국적선사가 부담해야 할 추가비용과 그것이 선사의 수익성에 미치는 영향을 시나리오별로 분석하였다. 분석결과, 저유황유 사용 시 국적선사는 상당한 추가 비용이 발생하게 되고 이로 인해 모든 시나리오에서 영업이익 적자를 기록하는 등 수익성이 악화될 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 결과는 대화주 운임교섭력이 약한 근해선사의 경우 연료유 가격에 탄력적으로 적용할 수 있는 합리적인 BAF 설정 기준이 필요하며, 또한 정유사, 화주, 선사 간 상호협력을 통해 상생할 수 있는 방안을 모색할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

The Purpose of this study is to analyze the financial statements of ocean-going shipping companies that have experienced financial difficulties since the global financial crisis. Specifically, the study conducts comparing major firm with small and medium-sized firm from fianancial point of view, analyzes the different trends of two groups. As a result, this paper finds the different characteristics between two groups. There were known many financial difficulties in ocean-going shipping companies, but this is not applied to small and medium-sized firm group. Small and medium-sized firm group grew soundly and slowly during research period. But major firm group experienced the deficit and their management condition has deteriorated considerably during that period. To cope with this difficulties, major firm group should take self-effort to improve fianacial structure and establish the risk management system.

중국의 급속한 경제성장은 한국 시장에 다양한 기회요소 및 위협요소를 제공하고 있으며 이는 해운시장도 예외가 아니다. 한국과 중국은 2009년 전면적인 항로 개방이 예정되어 있다. 한 중항로 개방은 신규항로의 개설과 양국선사의 참여로 인해 과당경쟁을 야기할 수 있다. 특히 중국 선사들의 참여증가로 인한 화물 집하 경쟁과 운임 경쟁이 매우 치열할 것으로 전망되며 장기적으로 운임면에서 우위를 차지하고 있는 중국선사에게 시장을 잠식당할 우려가 존재한다. 뿐만 아니라, 중국선사들의 선대 대형화, 글로벌 컨테이너선사들의 역내시장유입 등은 한 중 일 3국간 항로를 단일 시장화 할 수 있으며 이 경우 선사간 운임덤핑 등, 불공정 거래 행위로 인한 동 항로의 시장질서가 교란될 수 있다. 본 논문은 한 중 항로의 개방에 따른 다양한 문제점에 대한 한국국적선사들의 대응방안 및 전략을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 본 논문에서는 한 중항로 개방에 따른 향후 전망과 각 선사들의 영업전략, 실무자들의 대정부 정책 건의 등을 파악하기 위해 동 항로에 취항 중인 국적정기선사, 카페리사, 전문물류기업, 해운물류전문신문사 등을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 중소형 선사간 M&A를 통한 선사와 선박의 대형화, 국적선사간 전략적 제휴를 통한 선복의 대형화 및 공동 운항, 일관서비스 체제 구축 및 화주 밀착형서비스의 제공, 항로의 다변화, 각 항로별 민간 협의체간의 긴밀한 협력 체제, 시장질서 안정화를 위한 협의체의 구성 및 활성화, 근해선사간 근해항로 통합 운영 및 전용터미널의 확보 및 경쟁력 제고, 선사간 M&A시 정부의 특별지원 등이 요구되고 있다는 것을 파악할 수 있었다. 한 중항로는 우리나라 해운업 발전에 필수적인 전략 항로이다. 따라서 중장기적인 활성화 방안이 지속적으로 제시되어야 할 것이다.

Currently, container transport services play a substantial role in global cargo transportation, by serving as an intermodal between exporter and importer. Container shipping has become increasingly important over the past few decades, due to obvious advantages. However, Vietnam's container market has shown severely ongoing competition among numerous domestic and foreign shipping lines, resulting in serious consequences occurring such as freight rates substantially decreasing within the last 10 years. Vietnam's sea lanes have become more defensive, to cover losses of shipping companies. Selection of criteria for competitive evaluation of container transport companies is necessary, to facilitate addressing the problems within the enterprise, especially relating to its position in the market and from here, business management can implement strategic plans and reasonable policy, to survive and grow.

본 연구는 Big4 회계법인이 해운사를 감사할 경우 이익조정을 경감시키는 역할을 하는지 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 일반적으로 Big4 회계법인이 감사한 기업의 이익조정은 작고 감사품질은 높다고 알려져 있지만, 규모, 산업 등 처한 상황에 따라 다를 수도 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 Big4 회계법인의 감사가 해운사의 이익조정에 미치는 영향을 실증분석한다. Big4 회계법인은 삼일, 삼정, 안진, 한영 등 4대 회계법인이다. 이익조정의 대용치로 재량적발생액을 사용하고, Dechow et al.(1995)이 고안한 수정Jones모형과 Kothari et al.(2005)이 고안한 성과대응모형으로 재량적발생액을 측정한다. 2001년부터 2023년까지 KOSPI에 상장된 해운사를 대상으로 분석한 결과, Big4 회계법인의 감사는 해운사의 이익조정에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 일반적인 경우와 다르게 Big4 회계법인의 감사는 해운사의 이익조정을 경감시키는 역할을 하지 못한 것으로 판단된다. 본 논문은 해운업이라는 특수한 산업에서 감사인의 역할에 관해 연구해 일반적으로 알려진 바와 다른 결과를 도출했다는 점에 의의가 있다. 해운사들은 감사인을 선정할 때 Big4 회계법인의 감사품질이 항상 좋은 것만은 아니라는 점을 고려해야 할 것이다. 또한, 금융감독원 등 감독 당국은 Big4 회계법인의 감사품질에 대한 정확한 이해를 바탕으로 감리·감독에 임해야 할 것이다.

Recently, in the shipping companies have been employing prudently in order to prevent from sea accidents occurred by human factors. Also the students of merchant marine universities are choosing prudently the shipping companies when taking a job. But many qualitative and quantitative factors are considered in decision making for the employment and the choice of a company. FSM(Fuzzy Structural Modeling) has been widely used in modeling the system composed of such qualitative and quantitative factor. In this paper, a case study is discussed for the analysis of the consciousness of the employment of shining companies and students' choice of such company in maritime university using FSM. Also this paper proposed the planes for educating and recruitment guiding the student in maritime university.

The paper reviews briefly of the codes above, together with the effects of the successful introduction of the QMS into the shipping industry. This paper suggests a conceptual prototype for a quality management system (QMS) of seafaring labour, which itself would be a sub-system of the total quality management (TQM) system in a shipping company, on the basis of the ISM and the ISMA Codes, ISO 9002, ISO 9004, and other quality management guidelines. The QMS is essential for the survival of the Korean shipping industry. It will contribute not only to assuring the quality of crew, but also, consequently, to increasing the international competitive edge of the shipping companies in Korea.

해외 해운항만물류시장의 확대 및 진출에 따라 우리나라 선진 해운항만물류분야의 기술 이전을 위한 연수프로그램 수요가 증가하고 있다. 그러나 현재 시행되고 있는 해운항만물류분야 연수프로그램은 단기적인 성과는 있지만 국내 물류기업이 해외시장에 진출하는데 활용도가 매우 낮다. 따라서, 본 연구는 국내 물류기업의 해외진출 현황을 살펴보고 현재 추진중인 연수프로그램의 운영 실태와 문제점을 분석하여 국내 해운항만물류기업이 성공적으로 해외시장에 진출할 수 있는 연수프로그램 활용 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

본 연구는 지정학적 위기와 해운기업 주식가격 변동성의 인과관계를 분석하였다. 해운산업은 국가간의 교역에 의해서 수요가 파생되는 국제성을 가지기 때문에, 여러 가지 종류의 불확실성과 리스크에 직면하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 최근 러시아-우크라이나 전쟁 및 이스라엘-하마스 전쟁 등으로 부상하고 있는 지정학적 위기가 해운산업에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 한다. 특히, 지정학적 불확실성이 해운기업의 주식가격 변동성에 미치는 영향에 대해서 분석함으로서 이에 대한 시사점을 제공하고자 한다. 2000~2023년 기간 동안 한국거래소에 상장된 해운기업 5개사의 주식가격 변동성과 지정학적 위기 지수의 관계를 벡터자기회귀모형 기반의 인과성을 검정한 결과, 다음과 같은 결론이 도출되었다. 첫째, 지정학적 위기가 고조될수록 해운기업 주식가격의 변동성은 확대되었다. 둘째, 외교적 마찰로 인한 지정학적 위기보다는 실제 발생하는 이벤트에 의한 지정학적 위기의 영향이 통계적으로 유의하였다. 마지막으로, 지정학적 위기로 인한 주식가격 변동성의 확대는 주로 벌크부문에 나타났다.

The world economy has came into unlimited competition with globalization since 1990. Opening markets to the world is in progress through the expansion of world free trade and internationalization of multinational enterprises. In the maritime transportation for world trade, shipping companies pursue "Hub & Spoke" strategy so a port which is not able to be located as a hub port is degraded as a feeder port. To attract shipping companies, it is necessary for existing ports to provide differentiated service. This paper devises marketing strategies for a competitive port after evaluating relation among the factors affecting port selection when a shipping company chooses a port of call. On the basis of determinants derived from existing researches, we study the relation as well as importance among the factors of port selection.
