Korean folk medicine "Ggaenggaengipul" has beenused to dlear heat and treat chronic childfood mutitional impairment, diarrhea, jaundice, haemorrhoid, inflammation, anepithymia, nausea and egestion .The crude drug often used as a supstitute for the more expensive "Huang Lian " (황연) in Korea and China. With regard to the botainicla origic of " Ggaenggaenigipul" , it has never been studied pharmacognostically. To clarify botanical origin of " Ggaenggaegipul" , the morphological and anatomicla characteristics of the leaves, petiole, rhizoma, and radix of Jeffersonia dubia BENTH were studied.

The unknown excess emission in the near-infrared is thought to be related to the evolution of galaxies in the early epoch of Universe. Due to its extremely faint brightness, it can be observed only in space. Many infrared space missions have been tried to trace the origin of the Cosmic Infrared Background through the measurement of its absolute brightness and its spatial fluctuation. In addition, the infrared observations can address questions ranging from the origin of first galaxies in the Universe to the formation of stars. I will overview the Korean infrared space missions and introduce the status of the recent international collaboration mission, SPHEREx.

Anomalous aortic origin of left coronary artery is a rare congenital coronary anomaly that can cause clinical manifestations such as ischemic chest pain, arrhythmic syncope or even sudden cardiac death. We describe a case of anomalous aortic origin of left main coronary artery presented as a cardiogenic shock which was successfully treated by coronary artery transfer.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of social support on the role conflicts and marital satisfaction of dual-career commuting couples. Ninety-three dual-career commuting couples were participated in this study. The results were as follows: (1) Wives received more informational support than their husband. Wives also received more support from their family of origin. (2) For wives, instrumental support from their family of origin and friends reduced their role conflicts. (3) For both wives and husbands, wives family of origin played most important role among social network. (4) Social support from friends and colleagues had significant effects on role conflicts and marital satisfaction of dual-career commuting couples.

Numerical analysis of two dimensional incompressible laminar free jet flow was carried out by using finite difference SMAC scheme. Flow characteristics of free jet flow such as jet width, similarity of jet velocity and hypothetical origin were investigated for different Reynolds numbers of Re=30 and 100. The reliability of predictions were confirmed by comparison with exact solution. Non-dimensional velocity distribution showed similarity of jet flow velocity after initial region. In the region of laminar flow, the location of hypothetical origin becomes more distant with Reynolds number.

Anomalous origin of right pulmonary artery from ascending aorta is a rare congenital heart disease. We experienced a case of anomalous origin of right pulmonary artery from ascending aorta with associated patent ductus arteriosus and patent foramen ovale, which was diagnosed by angiocardiography and cardiac catheterization. The ductus was ligated just before bypass, and a Dacron-graft with a diameter of 16 mm was interpolated posteriorly to the aorta between the right pulmonary artery and the pulmonary trunk. The postoperative course was uneventful. The right heart catheterization and right ventriculography performed on postoperative twelfth day revealed widely patent anastomotic site between the right pulmonary artery and the pulmonary trunk without residual stenosis. She was discharged on postoperative fourteenth day.

Anomalous origin of right coronary artery from pulmonary artery is a rare congenital cardiac anomaly. Anomalous right coronary artery often be a incidental finding without serious cardiovascular sequale. The only characteristic physical finding is a continuous murmur with diastolic accentuation. There are no diagnostic EKG or chest X-ray changes. Diagnosis is made best by selective left coronary arteriography showing retrograde filling of right coronary artery from collateral vessels. Here, we present a case of twenty-four months old aged girl with anomalous origin of right coronary artery combined with pulmonary stenosis. This is the first pediatric patient with anomalous right coronary artery and the first patient to have surgical correction for this malformation.

We investigate the existence of weak solutions for the biharmonic boundary value problem with nonlinear term decaying at the origin. We get a theorem which shows the existence of nontrivial solutions for the biharmonic boundary value problem with nonlinear term decaying at the origin. We obtain this result by reducing the biharmonic problem with nonlinear term to the biharmonic problem with bounded nonlinear term and then approaching the variational method and using the mountain pass geometry for the reduced biharmonic problem with bounded nonlinear term.

Virtual work in multibody systems is frequently expressed as the inner product of the virtual displacement and the resultant force at the centroid. But provided that the resultant force is converted into the equipollent forces there is no restriction on where the analysis reference point is placed. There are basically three candidate points : the centroid, joint point and the instant global origin. The traditional fully recursive formulation uses the centroid, but the present work verifies that the instant global origin always shows better efficiency (e.g. 86% CPU time of the centroid for quarter car model) and joint point shows the efficiency between that of the centroid and the instant global origin. A discussion on how important it is to define the analysis reference point properly in a fully recursive formulation is also presented.

In order to build up the infrastructure of the globalization of herbal material, the system of culture, distribution, treatment and sale should be established on the basis of the official documents. In this context, the state compendium needs to be theoretically established in perfection 0in order that it may be globally authoritative. The ultimate goal of this study is to clarify the origin and description of the herbal material unregistered in the official documents, as well as to establish the criteria of assessment. The technical books on herbage, published in the country and other countries, were compared with each other. Also, on-the-spot surveys were made to learn specialists' know-how. The description of the collected drug-stuffs Were analyzed in connection with external morphology, internal morphology and microscopy. And the laboratory test was performed to differentiate such drug-stuffs.
