중소기업 정보화 요인별 중요성, 현황 및 정책적 시사점 (SME Informatization Attributes Based Analysis for their Criticalness, Status and Policy Implications)

  • In this paper, we propose policy implications for Korean SMEs to enhance informatization level, which thereby leads to better competitiveness. Our approach begins with organizing the firm's informatization attributes from SME perspective. Next, we adopted AHP method to quantify the relative importance of each informatization attributes. Then, we assess the criticalness of each informatization attributes with reference to the empirical statistics for the current status of informatization level of Korean SMEs. The analysis distinguishes manufacturing versus service industries, and informatization attributes importance versus as-is informatization level, each respectively. Based on empirical analysis, policy implications are proposed for more effective government SME informatization support policy.

중공업 부문의 대중소 IT 협업 전략과 추진에 관한 사례연구 (A Case Study on The Strategy and Way to Promote IT Collaboration between SMEs and Large Firms in The Heavy Industries)

  • The challenges facing manufacturing companies today span across the industry, independent of company size or product. Especially, big manufacturers must overcome these challenges, and information technology (IT) collaboration with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) will play a major role in this effort. In this research, the strategy and way to promote IT collaboration between SMEs and large firms in heavy industries are proposed. A pre-consultation was performed to derive the strategy and way for the collaboration, and an IT collaboration system was developed reflection the results of pre-consultation. The IT collaboration system consists of two parts. One is ERP based on BPM for SMEs to standardize and visualize the entire business process from order placement to release. This system also provides their parent company with visibility into the status of orders and user can easily access the system on the web at a low price through cloud computing service. The other is interface part for data changes between large firms and SMEs. Thus far, this paper demonstrates the importance of strategy for the collaboration, and the applicability of IT collaboration system to elevate the speed and efficiency of business.

제조업 중소기업의 기업가정신이 조직유효성에 미치는 영향: 기술혁신을 매개효과로 (The Effect of Entrepreneurship on Organizational Effectiveness in Small and Medium-Sized Manufacturing Companies: The Mediating Effect of Technological Innovation)

  • 본 연구는 제조업 중소기업 종사자의 기업가정신이 기술혁신을 매개로 조직유효성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위해, 가설을 총 2가지로 구성하여 검증하였다. 가설 검정 결과로는 첫째, 기업가정신의 구성요소 중 혁신성은 조직몰입에는 영향을 미치지 않았지만, 직무만족에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 진취성과 위험감수성은 직무만족과 조직몰입 모두에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 공정혁신은 혁신성과 직무만족 간의 관계와 진취성과 직무만족 간의 관계 그리고 진취성과 조직몰입 간의 관계에서 모두 매개역할을 하였다. 다만, 제품혁신은 기업가정신과 조직유효성의 관계를 매개하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 제조업 중소기업의 조직유효성에 영향을 주는 선행요인들을 확인하여 학문적·실무적 시사점을 제공한다. 학문적 관점에서 살펴보면, 업종별 구분이 없거나 IT업, 호텔업, 서비스업, 관광업 등의 업종을 주로 표본 대상으로 선정하여 연구한 선행연구와는 다르게, 본 연구는 제조업 중소기업을 표본으로 기업가정신이 기술혁신을 매개로 조직유효성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대한 연구 결과를 제공하였다. 또한, 실무적인 관점에서 제조업 중소기업이 종사자의 직무만족과 조직몰입을 개선하기 위해서는 종사자의 진취성, 혁신성과 공정혁신 역량의 향상을 위한 노력이 필요하다.

제조업 특성을 반영한 스마트공장 진단모델 개발 및 중소기업 맞춤형 적용사례 (Development of Smart Factory Diagnostic Model Reflecting Manufacturing Characteristics and Customized Application of Small and Medium Enterprises)

  • This study is to develop a diagnostic model for the effective introduction of smart factories in the manufacturing industry, to diagnose SMEs that have difficulties in building their own smart factory compared to large enterprise, to identify the current level and to present directions for implementation. IT, AT, and OT experts diagnosed 18 SMEs using the "Smart Factory Capacity Diagnosis Tool" developed for smart factory level assessment of companies. They analyzed the results and assessed the level by smart factory diagnosis categories. Companies' smart factory diagnostic mean score is 322 out of 1000 points, between 1 level (check) and 2 level (monitoring). According to diagnosis category, Factory Field Basic, R&D, Production/Logistics/Quality Control, Supply Chain Management and Reference Information Standardization are high but Strategy, Facility Automation, Equipment Control, Data/Information System and Effect Analysis are low. There was little difference in smart factory level depending on whether IT system was built or not. Also, Companies with large sales amount were not necessarily advantageous to smart factories. This study will help SMEs who are interested in smart factory. In order to build smart factory, it is necessary to analyze the market trends, SW/ICT and establish a smart factory strategy suitable for the company considering the characteristics of industry and business environment.

중소 제조기업의 경쟁력 강화를 위한 제조AI 핵심 정책과제 도출에 관한 연구 (Discovering Essential AI-based Manufacturing Policy Issues for Competitive Reinforcement of Small and Medium Manufacturing Enterprises)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to derive major policies that domestic small and medium-sized manufacturing companies should consider to maximize productivity and quality improvement by utilizing manufacturing data and AI, and to find priorities and implications. Methods: In this study, domestic and international issues and literature review by country were conducted to derive major considerations such as manufacturing AI technology, manufacturing AI talent, manufacturing AI data and manufacturing AI ecosystem. Additionally, the questionnaire survey targeting 46 experts of manufacturing data and AI industry were conducted. Finally, the major considerations and detailed factors importance were derived by applying the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Results: As a result of the study, it was found that 'manufacturing AI technology', 'manufacturing AI talent', 'manufacturing AI data', and 'manufacturing AI ecosystem' exist as key considerations for domestic manufacturing AI. After empirical analysis, the importance of the four key considerations was found to be 'manufacturing AI ecosystem (0.272)', 'manufacturing AI data (0.265)', 'manufacturing AI technology (0.233)', and 'manufacturing AI talent (0.230)'. The importance of the derived four viewpoints is maintained at a similar level. In addition, looking at the detailed variables with the highest importance for each of the four perspectives, 'Best Practice', 'manufacturing data quality management regime, 'manufacturing data collection infrastructure', and 'manufacturing AI manpower level of solution providers' were found. Conclusion: For the sustainable growth of the domestic manufacturing AI ecosystem, it should be possible to develop and promote manufacturing AI policies in a balanced way by considering all four derived viewpoints. This paper is expected to be used as an effective guideline when developing policies for upgrading manufacturing through domestic manufacturing data and AI in the future.

제조혁신 촉진을 위한 스마트공장 정책방안 (Smart Factory Policy Measures for Promoting Manufacturing Innovation)

  • 본 논문은 현재 중소기업을 대상으로 추진 중인 스마트공장 보급·확산사업의 현황을 진단하고, 중소기업 관점에서 중소기업 제조 혁신을 위한 발전 방향을 모색한다. 본 논문의 주요 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 스마트공장 보급·확산사업은 추가적인 시장 창출과 공급망 개선을 전제로 추진되어야 한다. 둘째, 스마트공장 보급·확산사업은 "생산·공정"의 효율화를 넘어 "R&D"나 "판로"와 연계되는 새로운 사업을 창출하는 것을 지향해야 한다. 셋째, 공정기술이 기업 경쟁력으로 직결될 수 있는 분야를 중심으로 스마트공장 구축을 우선 지원할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 미국의 제조혁신연구소(Manufacturing Innovation Institute)의 사례를 참조하고, Pisano and Shih (2012)의 제품·프로세스 혁신 프레임워크를 사용하여 다음 네 가지 정책과제를 제시한다. 첫째, 스마트공장 추진 전략을 양적 확산 위주에서 질적 고도화로 전환한다. 둘째, 각 업종별로 중견·중소기업 중심의 공통기술개발과 표준화된 데이터 교환 및 업무교류 시스템 구축, 납품업체 중심의 조달시스템 운영 등을 추진한다. 셋째, 신기술·신사업 모델의 구현을 위해 기존 중소기업과 창업·벤처기업과의 제휴 및 협업, M&A를 장려한다. 넷째, 스마트공장의 세부 항목을 지수화하여 스마트공장 보급 전략의 적절성과 정책 지원의 문제점을 신속히 파악하고 보완한다.

  • This Study intends to find the impact of industry type on the relationship between Electronic Commerce(EC) implementation and performance. For this purpose, empirical study of domestic small and medium enterprises(SMEs) is carried out to test the relationship between EC implementation and EC performance and the moderating effect of industry type on the relationship between them. Previous empirical studies on EC mostly focused on the adoption of EC by business firms, and also have been carried out with the data from big enterprises. More often than not, the results obtained from the large business firms are used to provide the guidelines for SMEs. SMEs are, however, different from large business firms in many aspects, and need to be studied on their own. Empirical test shows that there are differences between manufacturing industry and service industry in utilizing EC and in achieving EC performance. The results of data analysis indicate that the industry type of SMEs is moderating the relationship between EC implementation variables(EC type, EC strategy, EC formality and EC character) and EC performance variables(EC utilization, EC satisfaction and EC usefulness).

국내 중소기업의 내·외부 요인이 스마트팩토리의 도입에 미치는 영향에 관한 탐색적 연구 : 금속가공업을 중심으로 (Effects of Internal and External Characteristics of Korean SMEs on the Introduction of Smart Factory : An Exploratory Investigation on the Metal Processing Industry)

  • Five years have passed since the introduction of the smart factory amid the new opportunities for growth and job creation in relation to domestic manufacturing companies. Nevertheless, there is a lack of analysis on SMEs introduction smart factories. This study empirically analyzed the effects on the introduction of smart factories of domestic metal processing SMEs by distinguishing the characteristics of enterprises In this study, 103 companies which introduced smart factories and another 106 companies which did not introduce them were sampled. The Introduction of the Smart Factory was analyzed by four categories such as the Company characteristics (R&D capability, product production capability, organizational change), entrepreneur characteristics (risk sensitivity), relational characteristics (trust, dependence, cooperation, Influence), and structural characteristics (competition). As a result of the research, we found out product production capacity, risk sensitivity, trust and cooperation, Influence, and competition are statistically significant in the introduction of smart factory. But competition was characterized by a negative (-) sign opposite to the hypothesis. This study is meaningful in that the scope of the analysis has been expanded by analyzing whether smart factory was introduced or not considering the characteristics of the company. And there should be continuous research on its utilization as well as the introduction of smart factory.

Investigation of 0.5 MJ superconducting energy storage system by acoustic emission method.

  • The rapid development of small-scale (1-10 MJ) Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage Systems (SMES) can be explained by real perspective of practical implementation of these devices in electro power nets. However the serious problem of all high mechanically stressed superconducting coils-problem of training and degradation (decreasing) of operating current still exists. Moreover for SMES systems this problems is more dangerous because of pulsed origin of mechanical stresses-one of the major sources of local heat disturbances in superconducting coils. We investigated acoustic emission (AE) phenomenon on model and 0.5 MJ SMES coils taking into account close correlation of AE and local heat disturbances. Two-coils 0.5 MJ SMES system was developed, manufactured and tested at Russian Research Center in the frames of cooperation with Korean Electrical Engineering Company (KEPCO) [1]. The two-coil SMES operates with the stored energy transmitted between coils in the course of a single cycle with 2 seconds energy transfer time. Maximum operating current 1.55 kA corresponds to 0.5 MF in each coil. The Nb-Ti-based conductor was designed and used for SMES manufacturing. It represents transposed cable made of Nb-Ti strands in copper matrix, several cooper strands and several stainless steel strands. The coils are wound onto fiberglass cylindrical bobbins. To make AE event information more useful a real time instrumentation system was used. Two main measured and computer processed AE parameters were considered: the energy of AE events (E) and the accumulated energy of AE events (E ). Influence of current value in 0.5 MJ coils on E and E was studied. The sensors were installed onto the bobbin and the external surface of magnets. Three levels of initial current were examined: 600A, 1000A, 2450 A. An extraordinary strong dependence of the current level on E and E was observed. The specific features of AE from model coils, operated in sinusoidal vibration current changing mode were investigated. Three current frequency modes were examined: 0.012 Hz, 0.03 Hz and 0.12 Hz. In all modes maximum amplitude 1200 A was realized.

4차 산업혁명시대 지역 중소기업의 제조혁신 한계와 스마트공장 정책 방향성 연구: 포항지역 중소기업의 스마트공장 조사를 중심으로 (A Study on the Limits of Manufacturing Innovation and Policy Direction of SMEs in the 4th Industrial Revolution : Focusing on the Limitations and Examples of Pohang SME's Smart Factory Introduction)

  • 포항시는 철강업 등의 일부 제조업에 영향을 크게 받는 우리나라의 대표적인 기업도시이다. 이러한 대기업 중심 기업도시의 모델은 우리나라 제조업 발전의 중요한 바로미터가 되어 왔다. 하지만 최근 경기침체와 위기가 확대되고 있는 상황에서 제조 한계 극복의 방안으로 논의되고 있는 보급 상황과 방향에 대한 포항 차원의 논의를 진행해 보고자 한다. 본 연구를 통해 첫째 현재의 스마트 공장 구축의 현황과 포항지역의 산업적 여건 그리고 추진 분야에 대한 검토 두 번째, 지역 기업들의 설문 자료를 통해 산업구조 고도화와 효율성을 위한 함의점과 차세대 생산혁명에 대비한 지역차원의 준비와 산업적 측면에서의 변화를 준비하고자 한다. 이러한 현황 분석과 기업 조사를 통해 다음과 같은 포항 지역 스마트공장 지원의 정책 대안을 새롭게 제시하고자 한다. 첫째, 포항시가 경북도 등 광역지자체와 협력하여 지역 특화형 스마트공장 지원 플랜을 구축할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 포항시 기업협의체, 업종별 협동조합 등 기업 중간조직이 업종별 특성에 맞는 스마트공장을 업계 자발적으로 개발하고 이를 보급하는 방식으로 전환할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 스마트공장 보급에서 가장 중요한 행위자는 스마트공장 IT 솔루션 공급사로 지역 중소기업간 연계 및 협력 강화가 중요하다. 현재의 포항 지역의 산업특성상 대기업과의 협력을 통한 공급가치사슬을 고려한 스마트공장 지원 프로그램의 마련이 구체화되어야 한다.
