The Society for Integrative Oncology (SIO) is an international organization established to encourage scientific evaluation, dissemination of evidence-based information, and appropriate clinical integration of complementary therapies (http://www.Integrativeonc.org.). Practice Guidelines were developed by the authors listed below and by the Executive Committee of the Society for Integrative Oncology, which approved this document. Guidelines are a work in progress; they will be updated as needed and are available on the SIO Web site as well: www.IntegrativeOnc.org.

The purpose of this study is to provide the guidelines for the planning and design of officetels, meeting the requirements of life in one-person household which is a new type in housing market. Literature survey is used as a research method. We analyzed the needs of officetel residents, by reviewing researches and by examining internet homepages and catalogs of 20 officetels sold since 2000. Case study analysis method is used as a qualitative analysis. The major findings of this study are as follows; 1) In dwelling unit space, it lacks the independence of working space and the privacy of living space. Therefore, the provision of various unit plans, such as 2-bay plan, unit with mezzanine floor or movable walls, layout of kitchen and dining area in window side, is proposed. 2) In communal space, it lacks the consideration of natural environments and the systematic maintenance. Therefore, the introduction of communal workshop and conference rooms and of various types of garden space, is proposed.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the prevailing ergonomic conditions regarding low back injury in an assembly factory, In this study, analytic biomechanical model and NIOSH guidelines were applied to evaluate risk levels of low back injury for automobile assembly jobs. Total of 246 workers were analysed. There were 10 jobs with greater back compressive forces than 350kg at L5/S1. Also there were 44 jobs over Action Limit in terms of 1981 NIOSH guidelines. This could in part be explained by the ergonomic conditions of the companys analysed as not hazardous, with a relatively low duration of 'combined' extreme work posture. However, more ergonomic intervention could be done based on those results.

The study is to provide the guidelines for the classification of residential zoning System in Seoul which reflect district characteristics. To this end, we first identify the problems the residential areas of Seoul are facing, and set up the policy goals and guidelines for refinding the zoning system for residential areas. Also, this study reviewed density control in he classification of residential zoning system, based on the guidelines of density, which included height, ratio of total floor to ground area, and land distribution.

Objectives : The Hwabyung Research Center of The Korean Society Of Oriental Neuropsychiatry has attempted to develop the 'Clinical Guidelines for Hwabyung'. Methods : The Hwabyung Research Center constructed a committee of experts and advisory group. Relevant literature was collected and evaluated in order to discover effective oriental psychotherapy as well as the management of Hwabyung. Results : We found some evidences that proved the effectiveness of oriental psychotherapy in the treatment of Hwabyung. The principles of management were also reviewed. Conclusions : Psychotherapy and management for Hwabyung were studies. We hope that the 'Clinical Guidelines for the Treatment of Hwabyung' is helpful for both oriental medical doctors and patients.

The purpose of this guideline is to establish the basic clinical principles and improve the clinical convenience. Methods : Hwabyung Research Center constructed a committee of experts and advisory group. We extracted the core questions, collected the existing data and evaluated them. Simultaneously, we conducted studies on the major topics. Results : We selected and made suitable tools for the assessment and evaluation. We discovered evidences from clinical studies and developed the standard clinical principles. Conclusions : 'Clinical Guidelines for the Treatment of Hwabyung' is expected to be useful at the primary medical clinics of oriental medicine.

An expert system is developed for rational and efficient design of multi-component injection molding which is a fairly new manufacturing technique to produce plastic parts by injecting two or more materials sequentially using multiple injection units in a single machine into a single rotary mold. The knowledge base used in the present design system is primarily composed of two parts ; knowledge from domain expert and knowledge from CAE analysis. The present expert system has hour main modules ; general design guidelines for injection molding specific guidelines for multi-component injection molding redesign guidelines from the result of the CAE analysis and finally troubleshooting for multi-component injection molding. To show the validity of the present design methodology two shop floor design problems were tested ; design and fabrication of timing belt cover and power window's assist knob by using multi-component injection molding.

This study aims to provide philosophical frameworks and approaches, and practical guidelines to interview research. While there are some studies which focus on the practical guidelines, there is a lack of studies which address the philosophical and conceptual issues integral to qualitative interview research. By discussing three different but related philosophical aspects of qualitative interviewing--phenomenology, hermeneutics, and dialectics--consistency among research purpose, research method, research methodology is pursued. Based on this discussion, four stages of interviewing--designing, conducting, analyzing, and writing of qualitative interview research--are presented.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the guidelines for organizing and maintaining their subject directory search engines which serve effective search results of web documents. The methods of this study are to review and analyze some directory search engines for finding problems of them and review literatures concerned with classification theory and previous studies. As results, this study suggests the guidelines for preparing the systematic subject directory scheme that is adapted to the internet directory search engines related to general andlor special subject fields through using the above guidelines.
