Authors tried to classify landforms of civilian-restricted trans-border coastal region of the East Sea by using both field survey and remote sensing data including IKONOS images and digital maps. As a result, authors can draw the boundaries of landform units on satellite images and classify landforms effectively. Typical landforms of undisturbed depositional coastal area such as coastal sand dune, sand bar, lagoons, and tombolo are found within the study area. Also, riverine wetlands and estuarine wetlands are readily discernable on both satellite image and field survey. Even though landforms within the study area are relatively small, they are so dynamically connected that their preservation value is very high.

This paper is to explore meaning and horizon of global education and its relationship with geography. Firstly, the paper clarifies what means the term 'global' used instead of 'world' to education and geography education and the aims of global education. Then a case of UK and USA the paper follows the origin and flow of global education, and examines the characteristics of their global education. Finally, for global education and its relationship with geography education it discusses the importance and need of global education though geography, and which contribution geography can to global education as one of cross-curricula themes.

The rapid development of Information technology and the Internet has brought about a new phase like building cyber communities in Apartment residential space. This study empirically considers the possibility and limit of cyber communities based on apartment residential space through analysing apartment Internet home pages. The analysing results show us the fact that apartment cyber communities are less satisfied than theoretical expectation. However, they have some possibilities as on-line communities. First of all, the most important factor is off-line community activities in realizing the possibility of cyber community at least in apartment residential space.

The Main results of this paper about the river channel of Shincheon(river) are as follows: First, the argument that Shincheon had a different river channel from existing one before 1778 would be wrong. Second, the origin of the place name, Shincheon has been traced up to the year of 1778 also would be wrong. Third, Daegucheon(river) regarded as a distributary of Shincheon would be the different stream originated from Samjeong valley and near by hills. Forth, Daegucheon had mostly dried up and disappeared during the Japanese colonial times while part of Daegucheon had changed its channel into Icheoncheon(river). Fifth, the river channel of Shincheon since the historic age has been unchanged.

A coastal dune field, located at Kimnyong-Wolchung beach in Jejudo, Korea, extends alongshore for about 4 km, with dunes extending inland about 6 km. Detailed geomorphological analysis of the area was carried out by using areal photography and Landsat images. Samples were collected across two transects, and physical and chemical properties are analyzed to detect the variation of both properties depending on distance form the beach. Paleosol layers found during the field trip suggest that dune emplacement is episodic. Radiocarbon dates from nearby Hyupjae beach indicate that dunes have been formed during the late Holocene by the disturbance of calcareous materials.

This research aims to analyse rural change by increasing in urban-to-rural migrants in rural Jeju. In particular, the author analysed changes in rural area focusing on non-agricultural sector and local organization. Urban-to-rural migrants into rural Jeju have been causing increase in tourism business. Such an increase in tourism business caused increase in construction of service space and changes in land use. Meanwhile, the local organization formed by urban-to-rural migrants has differences in its members and its activities and implementing system of activities in comparison with those of native local organizations. The Seowgipo Rural Migrants Cooperative, which is the research target, has characters of urbanism even thoug it was formed in rural area.

This study presents a comparative analysis of newly developed curriculum of Travel Geography as the career elective subject in high school for the 2015 revised curriculum in Korea and Tourism Geography in China. Travel Geography Curriculum comprises subject objectives, the contents organization, and achievement standards which reflect the core concept of geography. It utilizes travel as the topic and frame to raise the availability, interest and empathy in the geography classroom. The main research contents are comparative analysis on the similarities and differences of the subject character, goal, content, teaching-learning method and assessment of the national geography curriculum in Korea and China. Practical implications are presented for textbook compilation of the Travel Geography and its Practice classroom teaching-learning.

Tourism Industry can be treated as means for activating the economy of regions and must be considered as new alternative. As this trend, recently. the interest of tourism area connected with health industry is increasing gradually. And so, this study investigated the domestic abroad cases and established the promotion model of health tourism through experts' opinion to push ahead health tourism as strategy industry of Jeju region. Also this study proposed the planning to improve the competition ability of Jeju region by executing the fundamental research through the survey focused on tourists.

This research examines classification of rural experience tourism villages and case study of 4 villages in Gyeonggi Province through theoretical studies on residents' participation and roles as the subject of regional development in the perspectives of place assets. The four types classified are as follows: 1) community systemization, 2) individual systemization, 3) community integration, and 4) individual integration. In order to achieve type of community integration, we pay attention to get more interests in intensifying the community systemization and further alternative approaches to rural tourism villages.
