  • As a conclusion, it is considered that the 'Karaginumo shozoku' is not such a reformed version of the Chofuku or Jinjyofuku of Nara period as said in the accepted theory, but a further development of the 'Uchiki' worn at home by the aristocrat ladies since the first half of $10^{th}$ century. It is further presumed that the ladies probably did not wear the homewear 'Hitoe no uchiki' together with one Uchiki of wadded clothes as an over coat, but they put on multi layers of 'Uchiki' with no wadded silk cotton from their viewpoint on the beauty of the combination of colors. This could have made their Hakama larger. In the section of Jinjyofuku of the above mentioned 'Seikyuki', Karaginu, Mo and Hire are specified as the essential wears for their daily service. It is consequently said that the aristocratic ladies at home wore only 'Uchiki', while the female service officers put such wears as Uchiki, Karaginu, Mo and Hire when they came to serve the aristocratic ladies at home.

  • Due to the virtual nature of online businesses, online apparel stores need to enhance the consumer experience by utilizing store design attributes to provide their customers relevant and sufficient information. Since online apparel stores mainly communicate with their customers virtually and digitally, it is important to understand how consumers perceive and react to different design attributes commonly found on apparel stores' online websites. The purpose of this paper is to examine the importance of design attributes commonly found on online apparel stores' websites using three different importance measurements. The design attributes examined in this study include enlarged pictures, product detail pictures, product reviews by other buyers, coordinating items, and size measurement charts. The three different measurements used in this study include two direct measures and one indirect measure using conjoint analysis. Across the three different measures, both the men and women indicated that enlarged pictures represent the most important design attribute when they purchase clothes online followed by size measurement charts and they considered the availability of coordinating items the least important design attribute.

  • We are stepping into so called "aged society" stage, as the mature people account for 7% of the population by UN's standard yardstick. The goal of this research is to provide the fundamental source in producing ecological lifestyle uniforms of health and substantiality: LOHAS which are relevant to high performance and healthy body and take things like architecture, driving, surroundings, and recycling as main factors. the results of study were as follows: Therefore we can predict, through exerting researches about consumer's usage and preference of uniforms, that the garment business will be upgraded to the medical welfare and urban life style business level. All of the silver town resident we researched wear silver town uniforms, and the uniforms were chosen by the owner and operator. This research was processed through the survey of supervisors who were employed in senior residences. 66% of elderly changed their clothes for laundary every 2 days, The timing of removal of the old uniform was that 17% was less than 1 years, consideration of buying silver-town uniforms were consider materials, design, laundary, convenience of administration, durability, color, cost.

  • It has made a special study of bending behavior of F.R.P sandwich beams with bonded 2nd-reinforced plies. Specimens were made of Chopped Mat 300-450, Roving Clothes 570 and the mixture weight ratio of Resin versus hardener was 55:45 for bending tests. it was fabricated by hand lay-up method, hardened for 24 hours in nature, cut specimens according to ASTM standard C393-94 Knowing exact behavior of bonded area's stress and strain depends upon various bonded F.R.P length on which covered lap joint. We also considered shear stress in adhered area and have done computational estimation by ANSYS as well. This study reveals that the length of plies covered lap joint are longer, Failure stresses are remarkably larger.

  • Conventional dryer systems use one induction motor to drive drum and fan. However, nowadays, dryer systems are necessary to use extra fan motor for reducing a drying-time. This fan motor should be variable-speed controlled motor to control drying-time according to the volume of clothes. This paper proposes 3-phase SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) having 12/8 structure for variable-speed fan motor of dryer system.

  • Power net fabric is one of the highly extensible two-way fabrics. Power net structure shows special characteristics in the wearing of final functional clothes. This research evaluated effects of treatment temperature on proportional extensibility and shrinkage ratio of spandex at a given wale length. As treatment temperature increased, extensibility increased proportionally to the standard length of the sample and the shrinkage ratio in the direction of course and wale increased. The pulling-out length increased proportionally to the standard length of the sample. However it was affected by the effect of treatment time and temperature due to the thermal properties of spandex filament yarn.

  • The object of this research was to observe the female college 220 students of aged 19-24 for four years and to examine somatotypes distribution; this research intends to contribute to the fitness of clothes by studying the body distribution that affects the clothing structure. The measurement and wearing experiment for somatotypes are done years annually. The average, standard deviation and coefficient of variation was calculated by the SAS program. The research results are as follows: The three somatotypes of side view silhouette (straight type, bend-forward type, lean-back type) showed fairly even distribution. As a result of dressing experiment with the basic bodice pattern, the most influential factor on its suitability was found to be the neck area, shoulder and ease of bodice respectively. The partial body types to observe were categorized as: shoulder(normal, slope, squared), bust(A cup, B cup, C cup), hips (normal, droop, projecting). As for the result for full body type by BMI, normal type was most dominant, and for the categorization by drop, the type A which is with small breasts and large hips was most prevalent.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences of clothing majors and non-majors in clothing knowledge and consumption behavior. Subjective and objective knowledge were compared and factors of clothing consumption behavior were analyzed across the two groups. The subjects of this study were female student who went to University in Seoul. Data from 150 college female students were analyzed using SPSS. Results indicated that clothing majors had significantly higher level of clothing knowledge. The differences were smaller for subjective knowledge levels than objective knowledge levels. Clothing majors tended to reform their clothes and coordinate their clothing items better than non-majors. They considered styles more importantly than brands but have some level of conformity. Among clothing consumption behavior factors, reform ability and coordination ability significantly affected clothing knowledge.

  • These new Phenomenon influences with the new terminology 'fusion' on the way of our life in all areas of our society including the clothes and foods. Along with post-structuralism, which aims at diversification and senses deconstructionalism is a characteristic of this time post-structuralism is based upon the deconstructionalism. Especially the arts in the modern society which is called an information-oriented society lack the totality of a text and become fragmentary, and therefore it follows that traditional values are destroyed and at last a new code such as fusion which is incomprehensible if we would be in monolinear perspective.
